The End of the First Mission

Dear Friends,

Please read the passage below from the Acts of the Apostles (14:21-28):

After Paul and Barnabas had proclaimed the good news in Derbe and made a considerable number of disciples, they returned to Lystra and to Iconium and to Antioch. They strengthened the spirits of the disciples and exhorted them to persevere in the faith, saying, “It is necessary for us to undergo many hardships to enter the kingdom of God.” They appointed presbyters for them in each church and, with prayer and fasting, commended them to the Lord in whom they had put their faith. Then they traveled through Pisidia and reached Pamphylia. After proclaiming the word at Perga they went down to Attalia. From there they sailed to Antioch, where they had been commended to the grace of God for the work they had now accomplished. And when they arrived, they called the church together and reported what God had done with them and how he had opened the door of faith to the Gentiles. Then they spent no little time with the disciples.

We had another find day yesterday with sunshine the whole day. The temperature again reached 20 degrees Celsius and many people were sitting on their porches on this beautiful Sunday afternoon, Feast of the Ascension. I have started writing the Newsletter that should come out in about two weeks from now. I received many letters from everywhere asking to receive a copy of the Newsletter. The cost for one full year is $12.00 for Canadians and $15.00 for those living outside of Canada. This letter comes out four times a year, one for each season. For most people your subscription will come to an end with the Newsletter you will receive in a few weeks.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Redeemer given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,)

“I love you and bless you, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living all over the world. It is true that I have friends in every country on the face of the earth. However, there are many everywhere who do not yet believe in Me. They have not opened their hearts to Me so I can fill them with the graces they need and especially with the gift of faith. Pray that they open their hearts wide to believe with all their hearts. Paul and Barnabas worked hard in their day to preach the Good News to the people of their time and many came to believe and were My disciples. All of you, My dear friends, do not be afraid to be My witnesses wherever you are. This is how you get others to believe and come to follow Me.

It is sad to see how many people live in sin. If they do not repent, My Father’s arm will come down upon them and they will suffer much. The Father cannot witness all those sins and not do anything. However, He is patient but I call you all to change now and return to the right path before it is too late. Pray all of you every day for I suffered terribly and died on the cross to redeem you. Come out of the darkness of sin and enter the light of life. I love you all.”
