The Ascension of Jesus
Dear Friends,
Please read the passage below from the Acts of the Apostles (1: 6-12):
When the Apostles had gathered together they asked Jesus, “Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?” He answered them, “It is not for you to know the times or seasons that the Father has established by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, throughout Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” When he had said this, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him from their sight. While they were looking intently at the sky as he was going, suddenly two men dressed in white garments stood beside them. They said, “Men of Galilee, why are you standing there looking at the sky? This Jesus who has been taken up from you into heaven will return in the same way as you have seen him going into heaven.” Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day’s journey away.
Here I continue my report on the pilgrimage to Europe. On April 20th, we left St. Padre Pio’s area in Italy at 8:00 a.m. and made our way to Lanciano to a church where a Eucharistic Miracle took place. We got there around 10:00 a.m. and we visited the church. We prayed at the place of the miracle where we can still see the host that turned to flesh and the blood that has now five globs of blood. This miracle happened in the 8th century while a priest was celebrating Holy Mass and he had doubts whether Jesus was truly present in the host after consecration. Immediately the large host turned into flesh and in the chalice globs of blood were seen. We see the same thing today. I celebrated Holy Mass right where the miracle took place.
After Lanciano we traveled to Loreto to see the home of Jesus, Mary and Joseph, that was taken from Nazareth. The house is inside the Cathedral Church of Loreto. I entered the Holy House and prayed inside. Around 5:00 p.m. we left for Ancona and the wharf where we boarded a big ship to cross the Adriatic Sea overnight. In the morning we were at Split, Croatia. We arrived there at 7:30 a.m. I will continue the trip tomorrow.

“Be filled with joy, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living all over the earth. I fill you with joy because I wish to explain to you the great day of My Ascension into heaven. The Apostles came with Me to the Mount called Olivet and it was there that I spoke to them and then I was lifted up and went to heaven. I went back to heaven where I am forever at the right hand of My Father. Two angels appeared to the Apostles after I was gone to tell them that I would return the same way at the end of the world.
My dear brothers and sisters, I was the first to leave the world and to enter heaven body and soul, and all of you who believe in Me and follow Me will go to heaven in the very same way when I come back to take you with Me. I call you again to be My friends who love Me and offer yourselves to Me to do the will of the Father. I bless you all.”
