Reactions to Paul’s Speech

Dear Friends,

Please read the passage below from the Acts of the Apostles (26:24-32):

While Paul was so speaking in his defense, Festus said in a loud voice, “You are mad, Paul; much learning is driving you mad.” But Paul replied, “I am not mad, most excellent Festus; I am speaking words of truth and reason. The king knows about these matters and to him I speak boldly, for I cannot believe that any of this has escaped his notice; this was not done in a corner. King Agrippa, do you believe the prophets? I know you believe.” Then Agrippa said to Paul, “You will soon persuade me to play the Christian.” Paul replied, “I would pray to God that sooner or later not only you but all who listen to me today might become as I am except for these chains.” Then the king rose, and with him the governor and Bernice and the others who sat with them. And after they had withdrawn they said to one another, “This man is doing nothing at all that deserves death or imprisonment.” And Agrippa said to Festus, “This man could have been set free if he had not appealed to Caesar.”

This evening I will celebrate the Healing Mass in the Little Shrine of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island. All who wish may come and participate in the Holy Mass and in the healing service that will follow. On Saturday morning, I will celebrate Holy Mass at the Little Shrine at 9:30 a.m. and everyone is welcome.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words.)

“I love you, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters scattered throughout the world. I love St. Paul for all that he did for Me. King Agrippa and Festus would have released Paul because they did not find that he had done anything wrong. As he had appealed to Caesar, he was kept in custody until he could be sent to Rome.

My dear friends, I want you to act like St. Paul. Never commit any crime or say anything that is false. Always speak the truth and do what is right. Follow the commandments and indeed you will be close to Me. My Passion and death on the cross will be celebrated next week and I want you all to commit yourselves to spend time with Me every day. Contemplate all I suffered for you in order to atone for your sins and to open heaven for you. I love you all.”

Father Melvin
