The Visit of the Magi
When Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea, in the days of King Herod, behold, magi from the east arrived in Jerusalem, saying, “Where is the newborn king of the Jews? We saw his star at its rising and have come to do him homage.” When King Herod heard this, he was greatly troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. Assembling all the chief priests and the scribes of the people, he inquired of them where the Messiah was to be born. They said to him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for thus it has been written through the prophet: ‘And you, Bethlehem, land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; since from you shall come a ruler, who is to shepherd my people Israel.'” Then Herod called the magi secretly and ascertained from them the time of the star’s appearance. He sent them to Bethlehem and said, “Go and search diligently for the child. When you have found him, bring me word, that I too may go and do him homage.” After their audience with the king they set out. And behold, the star that they had seen at its rising preceded them, until it came and stopped over the place where the child was. They were overjoyed at seeing the star, and on entering the house they saw the child with Mary his mother. They prostrated themselves and did him homage. Then they opened their treasures and offered him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. And having been warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they departed for their country by another way. (Passage from the Gospel of St. Matthew 2:1-12)
Dear Friends,
My friend, who has been with me for a few weeks, will soon leave for the State of New York in the USA. I give thanks to God for this visit. I expect another person soon, who is also coming to visit me. Yesterday morning I celebrated Holy Mass in honor of St. Andre, the great miracle man of Montreal, Canada.
(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words:)
“I am your friend and I greet you, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who will read this message. As you know, three magi came from the east to visit Me and to do Me homage. They brought great gifts for Me. This shows, My dear friends, that I came into the world not only for the Jewish people but also for all the people of the world. I am your Savior whether you come from Europe, Africa, Asia, Oceania or the Americas. I came to save all the people who live in the world and all those who will inhabit the world in the future. Come all, My brothers and sisters, and accept Me as your Lord and Savior. There is nobody else but Me that can save you. If you believe in Me and enter My Church, I will bless you and give you the graces you need to follow Me and so one day in the future you will be with Me in heaven. My greatest desire is to bring you all with Me but I need your cooperation. Come give yourself totally to Me and let Me lead you along the path that leads to eternal life. You were born to live in the world for a time to show your love for Me and work together with Me, and at the end I will come to get you and bring you to eternal happiness in heaven. Let us walk together every day.”
