The Blood and Water

Dear Friends,

Now since it was preparation day, in order that the bodies might not remain on the cross on the sabbath, for the Sabbath day of that week was a solemn one, the Jews asked Pilate that their legs be broken and they be taken down. So the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first and then of the other one who was crucified with Jesus. But when they came to Jesus and saw that he was already dead, they did not break his legs, but one soldier thrust his lance into his side, and immediately blood and water flowed out. An eyewitness has testified, and his testimony is true; he knows that he is speaking the truth, so that you also may come to believe. For this happened so that the scripture passage might be fulfilled: “Not a bone of it will be broken.” And again another passage says: “They will look upon him whom they have pierced.” (Passage from the Gospel of St. John 19:31-37)

I am back from Minneapolis after giving a retreat and meeting many wonderful people. The weather was perfect with sunshine every day. There was a good group of people who attended. It started Friday evening and ended at noon on Sunday. The people were very pleased and they thanked me with great joy. I will stay at home now for over a month but on November 29 I will leave with a group for Israel to visit the Holy Land. I spent three months there in the past so it will be great to visit the Holy Places once again. We will leave for home on December 9.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I bless you, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living throughout the world. Be aware of My great mercy, which I show towards you all. After My death on the cross, a soldier came to the cross and pierced My side with his lance. The result was that blood and water flowed out. This is a sign of My mercy which flows from My heart to you all. You know that I am full of mercy for you all, My brothers and sisters. If you repent of all your sins, I will take them all away and fill you with My love and My peace. I want to save you all so come close to Me every day and receive all the graces I have for you. I gave My life on the cross for each one of you. I love you all.”

Father Melvin
