The Transfiguration of Jesus

Dear Friends,

After six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. And he was transfigured before them; his face shone like the sun and his clothes became white as light. And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, conversing with him. Then Peter said to Jesus in reply, “Lord, it is good that we are here. If you wish, I will make three tents here, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.” While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud cast a shadow over them, then from the cloud came a voice that said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him.” When the disciples heard this, they fell prostrate and were very much afraid. But Jesus came and touched them, saying, “Rise, and do not be afraid.” And when the disciples raised their eyes, they saw no one else but Jesus alone. (Passage from the Gospel of St. Matthew 17:1-8)

I wish to let you know once more that I will have an English Retreat at the Little Shrine of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island at Palmer Road. It will start on Tuesday, August 16, at 2:00 p.m. and it will last until Thursday, August 18, at noon. Everyone is welcome. During the retreat I will teach those present how to have a close and profound relationship with Jesus, Our Lord and Our Savior. It is very important that all Christians have this deep relationship with Jesus who is the center of the whole Christian life. Those who wish to attend must phone the motel nearest to the little shrine for a place to stay. It is called Island’s End Motel and the phone number is: 1-902-882-3554.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I give you My peace, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living in all the countries of the world. I was sent by My Father into the world to bring about the salvation of you all. You know that Heaven was closed to you all because of the sin of Adam and Eve. Only a Messiah, a Savior, could come into the world and offer up a worthy sacrifice in His blood that could take sins away and open heaven for you. I am this Messiah, this Savior. In order to show to the Apostles that I was truly the Son of God, I brought three of them to the top of a high mountain and there I was transfigured before them. Moses, the one who gave the 12 Commandments and brought about the Old Covenant, was with Me together with Elijah, the great prophet who prophesied much about Me even speaking about My death. These great men of the Old Testament were well known by the Jews and they played a great role to prepare My coming into the world.

Even My Heavenly Father spoke of Me during the Transfiguration. He acknowledged that I was His beloved Son and told the three Apostles to listen to Me. All what happened there on the mountain is a lesson for all of you. Do not doubt that I am Your Savior who has come to make of you the beloved of the Father. I am your only Savior. I love you.”
