Storm and Shipwreck (3)

A reading from the Acts of the Apostles 27, 27 – 44:

On the fourteenth night, as we were still being driven about on the Adriatic Sea, toward midnight the sailors began to suspect that they were nearing land. They took soundings and found twenty fathoms; a little farther on, they again took soundings and found fifteen fathoms. Fearing that we would run aground on a rocky coast, they dropped four anchors from the stern and prayed for day to come. The sailors then tried to abandon ship; they lowered the dinghy to the sea on the pretext of going to lay out anchors from the bow. But Paul said to the centurion and the soldiers, “Unless these men stay with the ship, you cannot be saved.” So the soldiers cut the ropes of the dinghy and set it adrift.
Until the day began to dawn, Paul kept urging all to take some food. He said, “Today is the fourteenth day that you have been waiting, going hungry and eating nothing. I urge you, therefore, to take some food; it will help you survive. Not a hair of the head of anyone of you will be lost.” When he said this, he took bread, gave thanks to God in front of them all, broke it, and began to eat. They were all encouraged, and took some food themselves. In all, there were two hundred seventy-six of us on the ship. After they had eaten enough, they lightened the ship by throwing the wheat into the sea.
When day came they did not recognize the land, but made out a bay with a beach. They planned to run the ship ashore on it, if they could. So they cast off the anchors and abandoned them to the sea, and at the same time they unfastened the lines of the rudders, and hoisting the foresail into the wind, they made for the beach. But they struck a sandbar and ran the ship aground. The bow was wedged in and could not be moved, but the stern began to break up under the pounding of the waves. The soldiers plan to kill the prisoners so that none might swim away and escape, but the centurion wanted to save Paul and so kept them from carrying out their plan. He ordered those who could swim to jump overboard first and get to the shore, and then the rest, some on planks, others on debris from the ship. In this way, all reached shore safely.

A few days ago as I was driving along the road and when I saw a Catholic Church, this idea came to me. A church is Jesus’ home. He is present in the Holy Eucharist and therefore he lives in every church where the Blessed Sacrament is kept. So every church is Jesus’ home and we are all invited to come and speak (pray) to Him. I can see that Jesus has many homes in every country of the world. He is there for you and me and He wants us to go and visit Him. When you pass near a church, never forget to bless yourself and ask for His help.

Below you will find the message of Our Blessed Mother given to Father Melvin. She spoke to him these words,

“I bless you My son Melvin and all My sons and daughters living in every country of the world. I love you all and I am praying for you every day.
When Saint Paul and the soldiers were on the ship in a horrible storm, they suffered much and you can be sure that I was praying for them. Paul help them by telling the soldiers what My Son put into his heart. When the soldiers thought that the prisoners will just jump overboard and swim to the coast and escape from those who held them as prisoners, some of them decided that they should kill all these prisoners because they might escape. However, Saint Paul told the centurion that if they do this, then all the soldiers will drown in the storm. So the centurion told the soldiers not to kill any of the prisoners. Saint Paul then told the soldiers to go and eat as they had not eaten for fourteen days. They followed Saint Paul and went to eat. Then when day broke, they saw a beach and they decided to land there. So they broke the anchors and started for the beach but they hit a sandbar and at the end they had to jump overboard and swim to shore. Everyone reached the beach and they were safe.
My children, if you remain with My Son Jesus, He will help you when you face any danger. You simply have to be guided by Him and follow everything that He tells you.
Saint Paul was guided by My Son and the soldiers listened to him and they were all safe. Follow My Son and He will protect you. I love you all.”

Father Melvin

P.S. I am sorry that I did not send any message for the last two days as I was away and I just came back this evening. I thank the Lord for this beautiful sunny day. The temperature was warm just like the middle of summer. Praise the Lord.

Storms and Shipwreck (2)

A reading from the Acts of the Apostles 27, 19 – 26:

A south wind blew gently, and thinking they had attained their objective, they weighed anchor and sailed along close to the cost of Crete. Before long an offshore wind of hurricane force called a “Northeaster” struck. Since the ship was caught up in it and could not head into the wind we gave way and let ourselves be driven. We passed along the sheltered side of an island named Cauda and managed only with difficulty to get the dinghy under control. They hoisted it aboard, then used cables to undergird the ship. Because of their fear that they would run aground on the shoal of Syrtis, they lowered the drift anchor and were carried along in this way. We were being pounded by the storm so violently that the next day they jettisoned some cargo, and on the third day with their own hands they threw even the ship’s tackle overboard. Neither the sun nor the stars were visible for many days, and no small storm raged. Finally, all hope of our surviving was taken away.
When many would no longer eat, Paul stood among them and said, “Men, you should have taken my advice and not have set sail from Crete and you would have avoided this disastrous loss. I urge you now to keep up your courage, not one of you will be lost, only the ship. For last night and angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve stood by me and said, ‘Do not be afraid, Paul. You are destined to stand before Caesar; and behold, for your sake, God has granted safety to all who are sailing with you.’ Therefore, keep up your courage, men; I trust in God that it will turn out as I have been told. We are destined to run aground on some island.”

One day a young man in his early twenties, came to visit me at Our Lady of P.E.I. chapel. He was depressed and he said that he often felt like that. He asked me to pray with him. I prayed and asked the Lord to take away this depression and to give him His love, peace and joy. I also called on Jesus to fill him with the Holy Spirit. After a few days he came to see me again and said that all this depression was gone. He know felt full of joy and peace.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“It is very important to listen to My words My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who believe in Me as your Savior. I had spoken to Saint Paul to tell the people in charge of the ship not to set out because they would be in great danger, but they did not listen to him. They set out and in no time they hit a hurricane and they could no longer control the ship. It was drifting for days and they felt that they would all die in this storm. They threw overboard some of the cargo and at the end they thought they were doomed. Saint Paul spoke to them again saying that an angel had come to talk to him during the night and told him that no one would die but the ship would run aground. He told Saint Paul that he will reach Rome and be able to see Caesar. So at the end this is what happened and everyone was saved.
I protected Saint Paul so he could reach Rome and in so doing I saved all the others who were in the ship. They would not have suffered so much if they had listened to Paul and stayed where they were.
I call on you all to listen to Me and I will protect you from harm. I am your Friend and I want to help you. I love you all.”

P.S. We had a partly cloudy day today and there was some wind. It was cool too.

Storm and Shipwreck

Storm and Shipwreck

A reading from the Acts of the Apostles 27, 6 – 12:

There the centurion found an Alexandrian ship that was sailing to Italy and put us on board. For many days we made little headway, arriving at Cnidus only with difficulty, and because the wind would not permit us to continue our course we sailed for the sheltered side of Crete off Salmone. We sailed past it with difficulty and reached a place called Fair Havens, near which was the city of Lasea.
Much time had now passed and sailing had become hazardous because the time of the fast had already gone by, so Paul warned them, “Men, I can see that this voyage will result in severe damage and heavy loss not only to the cargo and the ship, but also to our lives.” The centurion, however, paid more attention to the pilot and to the owner of the ship than to what Paul said. Since the habor was unfavorably situated for spending the winter, the majority planned to put out to sea from there in the hope of reaching Phoenix, a port in Crete facing west northwest, there to spend the winter.

A few years ago I had a healing Mass in the Province of Quebec and a man was present. He had a very sore foot and because of that he could hardly walk. He came to me and asked me to pray for him to cure his foot. I prayed and asked the Lord to take all the pain away from his foot so he could walk without difficulty. A few days later he phoned me to tell me that his foot was completely healed and he could walk and run without difficulty. Thank you Lord.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“Accept My message and follow it My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who know Me and follow Me. If you do not follow what I tell you something terrible could happen to you. See when Saint Paul was on his way to Rome by ship. They had very bad weather and so Saint Paul had received a word from Me and he told the centurion that they should not continue by ship. If they do there would be a lot of damage and even some lives could be lost. The centurion refused to listen to him and they left. While on the sea a terrible storm came up just like a hurricane and great damage happened. They should have listened to Saint Paul and they would have saved the boat and its cargo.
I am always there to help you but so often you do not listen to My words. In that case you can expect something terrible. It is also very good when you go on a journey to pray for protection so that you can arrive at your destination without difficulty. I am always there to help you. I bless you all.”

Father Melvin

P.S. We had a lot of rain during the night but today it was mostly sunny and warm.
