Judgment by the Mosaic Law

Judgment by the Mosaic Law

A reading from Saint Paul’s Letter to the Romans 2, 17 – 29:

Now if you call yourself a Jew and rely on the law and boast of God and know his will and are able to discern what is important since you are instructed from the law, and if you are confident that you are a guide for the blind and a light for those in darkness, that you are a trainer of the foolish and teacher of the simple, because in the law you have the formulation of knowledge and truth–then you who teach another, are you failing to teach yourself? You who preach against stealing, do you steal? You who forbid adultery, do you commit adultery? You who detest idols,. do you rob temples? You who boast of the law, do you dishonor God by breaking the law? For, as it is written, “Because of you the name of God is reviled among the Gentiles.”
Circumcision, to be sure has value if you observe the law; but if you break the law, your circumcision has become uncircumcision. Again, if an uncircumcised man keeps the precepts of the law, will he not be considered circumcised? Indeed, those who are physically uncircumcised but carry out the law will pass judgment on you, with your written law and circumcision, who break the law. One is not a Jew outwardly. True circumcision is not outward, in the flesh. Rather, one is a Jew inwardly, and circumcision is of the heart, in the spirit, not the letter; his praise is not from human beings but from God.

Tuesday was the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary. Our Blessed Mother in Her various apparitions often spoke about the rosary and sometimes She holds a rosary. It is the prayer that She loves and She wants us to pray the rosary every day. Let us commit ourselves to pray the rosary every day of our lives.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“You My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters will be judged by the commandments of Our Heavenly Father. The first one to receive the commandments was Moses on Mount Sinai. He had spent many days on the mountain and there the Father taught him that the Jews were to become the people of God. They will have to obey the ten commandments and be people of prayer. All the Jews were taught about the commandments and they were to keep them. However, they did not follow what the Father had taught them. How many of them worshipped idols like those in the desert who worshipped a golden calf and this was a terrible offense against God.
You too My friends are called to follow the ten commandments. When I was on earth I taught the people to observe all the commandments as they come from the Father. Today there are many who do not follow what I taught them. They are sinners and refuse to repent of their sins. I call you all to repent of all your sins and to show your love for Me. If you repent I will take away all your sins and you will become truly the children of God. I bless you all.”

P.S. We have another beautiful sunny day but it is cooler.

Judgment by the Interior Law

Judgment by the Interior Law

A reading from Saint Paul’s Letter to the Romans 2, 12 – 16:

All who sin outside the law will also perish without reference to it, and all who sin under the law will be judged in accordance with it. For it is not those who hear the law who are just in the sight of God; rather, those who observe the law will be justified. For when the Gentiles who do not have the law by nature observe the prescriptions of the law, they are a law for themselves even though they do not have the law. They show that the demands of the law are written in their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness and their conflicting thoughts accuse or even defend them on the day when, according to my gospel, God will judge people’s hidden works through Christ Jesus.

Because the Synod has as topic marriage and the family, many today are writing about the process of annulment in our dioceses. While I was in Africa I was for many years the defender of the Bond in the marriage cases. If a couple divorced and now wants to marry again, they have to apply for an annulment in their diocese. At this time this process is very long and I know that it can take as much as six months before the decision is taken. The Church court is to decide for or against annulment of the precious marriage. There are a number of reasons for declaring a marriage as null and void and therefore the two receive an annulment so that they can now receive a new marriage blessed by the church. The Synod it seems will make this process easier and it will not take so long.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I spell out for you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters that you are all under the law given to you by Our Heavenly Father. All Christians have the ten commandments which they are to follow as perfect as possible. The first three commandments refer to God and the other seven commandments refer to your relationship with you brothers and sisters. Those outside the Church also have the same commandments and they will be judged if they have failed to follow these commandments. Those who are not Christians have the law written in their hearts and they know if they committed sin for their conscience makes it known to them. For example killing is always a horrible sin and it does not make a difference who commits that sin. The Father gave you these laws and He wants you all to follow them completely. The best way to follow the commandments of God is to love God and to love every human being. You even have to love your enemies. The one who follows the commandments will have peace and joy in his or her heart given to him or her by the Father. I came to earth to teach you how you are to follow the law of God and I have the graces you need to help you every day to avoid sin. I bless you all and I love you.”

P.S. What a great summer day we had today. It was sunny and warm the whole day.

God’s Just Judgment

God’s Just Judgment

A reading from Saint Paul’s Letter to the Romans 2, 1 – 11:

Therefore, you are without excuse, every one of you who passes judgment. For by the standard by which you judge another you condemn yourself, since you, the judge, do the very same thing. We know that the judgment of God on those who do such things is true. Do you suppose, then, you who judge those who engage in such things and yet do them yourself, that you will escape the judgment of God? Or do you hold his priceless kindness, forbearance and patience in low esteem, unaware that the kindness of God would lead you to repentance? By your stubbornness and impenitent heart, you are storing up wrath for yourself for the day of wrath and revelation of the just judgment of God, who will repay everyone according to his works: eternal life to those who seek glory, honor, and immortality through perseverance in good works, but wrath and fury to those who selfishly disobey the truth and obey wickedness. Yes, affliction and distress will come upon every human being who does evil, Jews first and then Greek. But there will be glory, honor, and peace to everyone who does good, Jew first and then Greek. There is no partiality with God.

The Synod of Bishops in Rome started today with a Solemn High Mass with all the members of the Synod present. The main celebrant was Pope Francis and they prayed that the outcome of this meeting will be a great help for all families because the theme of the Synod is the family. Let us continue to pray that the Holy Spirit will enlightened those who are present so that they will decide according to the will of Our Heavenly Father.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“Do not judge others, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who follow Me and you will not be judged. You are all called to love every person even those who hate you. Pray for them all that I may give them all the graces and gifts they need and that they will all be close to Me.
Saint Paul in his letter to the Romans teaches them about how I judge people. It is a fact that many continue to judge others and they condemn them. They act as people full of pride who think they are better than all the others. No, My friends, I call you to be humble and look upon yourselves as the lowest of them all. You, too, have sinned and you need to confess your sins and ask for forgiveness. So never look upon yourselves as better than others. You would surely be worst if it was not the graces I won for you on the cross. So follow Me and one day you will be with Me in heaven. I came to save you but I need your cooperation. Let us work together and one day you will be in eternity with all the angels and saints. I love you all and I bless you.”

Father Melvin

P.S. We had a mostly cloudy day today Sunday but the sun did come out for a time in the afternoon.
