One Body, Many Parts

One Body, Many Parts

A reading from Saint Paul’s First Letter to the Corinthians 13, 12 – 26:

As a body is one though it has many parts, and all the parts of the body, though many are one body, so also Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jew or Greeks, slaves or free persons, and we were all given to drink of one Spirit.
Now the body is not a single part, but many. If a foot should say, “Because I am not a hand I do not belong to the body,” it does not for this reason belong any less to the body. Or if an ear should say, “Because I am not a eye I do not belong to the body,” it does not for this reason belong any less to the body. If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole body were hearing, where would the sense of smell be? But as it is, God placed the parts, each one of them, in the body as he intended. If they were all one part, where would the body be? But as it is, there are many parts, yet one body. The eye cannot say to the hand, “I do not need you,” not again the head to the feet, “I do not need you.” Indeed, the parts of the body that seem to be weaker are all the more necessary, and those parts of the body that we consider less honorable we surround with greater honor, and our less presentable parts are treated with greater propriety, whereas our more presentable parts do not need this. But God has so constructed the body as to give greater honor to a part that is without it, so that there may be no division in the body, but that the parts may have the same concern for one another. If one part suffers, all the parts suffer with it; if one part is honored, all the parts share its joy.
Now you are Christ’s body, and individually parts of it. Some people God has designated in the church to be, first, apostles; second, prophets; third, teachers; then, mighty deeds; then gifts of healing, assistance, administration, and varieties of tongues. Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work mighty deeds? Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret? Strive eagerly for the greatest spiritual gifts. But I shall show you a still more excellent way: the way of love.

Yesterday was the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Our Blessed Mother. She came to visit me on Her Great Feast and She gave me a message which will be published in the Newsletter in a few weeks. Our Mother told me that the money for the building of the shrine and the monasteries will soon arrive, but there is still some money to pay. I still have to pay $1,500 this week on Friday. I pray that it will come on Wednesday or Thursday so I can go to New Brunswick to deliver this money. I am praying for this every day.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“You are all part of My body My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who have been baptized. There is only one body who is I, the Christ, and I am the Mystical Body, the Church. You are all different parts of Me and My Church. As a body has many parts yet there is only one body. So it is with My Mystical body, the Church. There are all kinds of mission in My Church such as the Pope, bishops, priests, deacons, religious, prophets, teachers, those with the gift of healing, the gift of tongues, the gift of interpreting tongues and many more. All of these form only one body, the Church. All are called for a special mission so that the Church can function properly.
It is the same with the human body. The body has many parts like the ears, the eyes, the nose, the mouth, the hands, the feet etc. All of these form only one human body. If one part is missing then the body does not work properly. So I call you all to play your role in My Church so everything may function well. I bless you all.”

P.S. We had a cloudy day but nothing fell. It was cold especially in the morning.

Unity and Variety

Unity and Variety

A reading from Saint Paul’s First Letter to the Corinthians 12, 1 – 11:

Now in regard to spiritual gifts, brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be unaware. You know how, when you were pagans, you were constantly attracted and led away to mute idols. Therefore, I tell you that nobody speaking by the spirit of God says, “Jesus be accursed.” And no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.
There are different kinds of spiritual gifts but the same spirit; there are different forms of service but the same Lord; there are different workings but the same God who produces all of them in everyone. To each individual the manifestation of the Spirit is given for some benefit. To one is given through the Spirit the expression of wisdom; to another the expression of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit; to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit; to another mighty deeds; to another prophecy; to another discernment of spirits; to another varieties of tongues; to another interpretation of tongues. But one and same Spirit produces all of these, distributing them individually to each person as he wishes.

I thank those who sent me money to pay the bills. I received since yesterday $700 dollars and this is a great help indeed. I pray that I will receive the remaining very soon. It is so important that I pay these bills as soon as possible. I am praying for all of you every day and I know that you will be blessed by Our Lord for helping me. In fact all this will go towards building what Our Blessed Mother asked me and what Our Lord wants.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to me these words,

“Be filled with the Holy Spirit My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who pray regularly and go to Holy Mass every Sunday. I am sending the Holy Spirit upon you every time you ask Me to do so. The Holy Spirit is working in a wonderful way and He gives each person who believes special gifts. Some receive the gift of wisdom and it is so wonderful to listen to them. Others receive the gift of knowledge and one can be astonished to know what they know. Some receive the special gift of faith and they believe with such intensity all that I have taught them. Some receive the gift of healing and when they pray over the sick most of them are healed. Some can do mighty deeds such as praying to stop a storm and it stops. Others have the gift of prophecy and they can tell you what will happen to you in the future or the person might tell you what Our Heavenly Father wants from you. Some have the gift of discernment of spirits. They can tell whether it is the Spirit of God at work or if it is an evil spirit. Some people speak in tongues and that too is a gift from the Holy Spirit. So the same Spirit produces all these wonderful gifts and He gives them to those He has chosen. If you open yourself to the Holy Spirit, He will give you one or more of these gifts. As a member of My Church, you will receive a gift or two and you will use them to help My Church go forward. I love you all.”

Father Melvin

P.S. So I pray that you will celebrate solemnly the wonderful Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Our Blessed Mother. She is praying for you all.

Tradition of the Institution

Tradition of the Institution

A reading from Saint Paul’s First Letter to the Corinthians 11, 23 – 34:

For I received from the Lord what I also handed on to you, that the Lord Jesus, on the night he was handed over took bread, and, after he had given thanks, broke it and said, “This is my body that is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way also the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the death of the Lord until he comes.
Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord unworthily will have to answer for the body and blood of the Lord. A person should examine himself, and so eat the bread and drink the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body, eats and drinks judgment on himself. That is why many among you are ill and infirm, and a considerable number are dying. If we discerned ourselves, we would not be under judgment; but since we are judged by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we may not be condemned along with the world.
Therefore, my brothers and sisters, when you come together to eat, wait for one another. If anyone is hungry, he should eat at home, so that your meetings may not result in judgment. The other matters I shall set in order when I come.

The great Feast of Our Blessed Mother is very near. On Monday we will celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Mother of God. God the Father had already chosen Her to be the Mother of Jesus and so She was conceived without original sin. We are all born with original sin but She was spared. That is why when the Archangel Gabriel came to announce to Our Dear Mother that She would be the Mother of Our Lord Jesus, he greeted Her with the words, “Hail Mary, full of grace.” She is indeed full of grace as She never committed even a small venial sin. Let us honor Her on Her great Feast Day.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“It is your great joy My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters to come and receive Me in the Holy Eucharist. Saint Paul wrote in his message above that I took bread and after I had given thanks, I broke it and said, “This is My body that is for you.” Then after supper I took the cup and said, “This cup is the New Covenant in My blood. Do this as often as you drink it in remembrance of Me.” I Instituted the Holy Eucharist at the Last Supper on Holy Thursday in Jerusalem. I was in the Upper Room with the Apostles and they were the first to eat and drink of the Holy Eucharist on the first day that I celebrated the Holy Eucharist at that last meal.
So Saint Paul tells the Corinthians that whoever eats the consecrated bread and drink the cup of the Lord unworthily with have to answer for the body and blood of the Lord.
So you are all called to examine yourselves and see if you do not have any major sins that forbids you to receive the Eucharist. If you are unworthy to receive and still go ahead and receive Me in the Holy Eucharist then you will be judged and disciplined. I have given you the great gift of Myself in the Eucharist, so prepare yourselves well to receive Me in this great sacrament. I love you and I bless you all.”

Father Melvin

P.S. It snowed all day today but only a few centimeters fell and we should have rain tomorrow.
