The Healing of a Centurion’s Slave

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Luke 7, 1 – 10:

When Jesus had finished all his words to the people, he entered Capernaum. A centurion there had a slave who was ill and about to die, and he was valuable to him. When he heard about Jesus, he sent elders of the Jews to him, asking him to come and save the life of his slave. They approached Jesus and strongly urged him to come, saying, “He deserves to have you do this for him, for he loves our nation and he built the synagogue for us.” And Jesus went with them, but when he was only a short distance from the house, the centurion sent friends to tell him, “Lord, do not trouble yourself, for I am not worthy to have you enter under my roof. Therefore, I did not consider myself worthy to come to you; but say the word and let my servant be healed. For I too am a person subject to authority, with soldiers subject to me. And I say to one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come here,’ and he comes; and to my slave, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.” When Jesus heard this he was amazed at him and, turning said to the crowd following him, “I tell you, not even in Israel have I found such faith.” When the messengers returned to the house, they found the slave in good health.

I heard good news today that I will be told on the January 26th when I should receive the money to be used for what Our Blessed Mother asked me to build and what Jesus asked me. However, the judge asked me to pay $3,000 for all the work he has done. I need to give him this money on January 23rd so that I will receive the date for receiving the money. I have no money at this time, if some of you can help me, I would be so happy and I am sure Jesus and Our Blessed Mother will be happy too. I thank all those who will help me next week.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“Come and believe in Me like this centurion My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who know Me. The Centurion’s slave was very sick and was dying so he sent some Jewish people to go and ask Me to heal the slave. I listened to these Jewish people who spoke very highly about this Roman man who was called a centurion. He had helped the Jewish people and helped them built their synagogue. He loved the Jewish nation. I immediately went with them and when we were only a short distance from the house, the centurion sent some friends to tell me these words, “Lord, do not trouble yourself, for I am not worthy to have you enter under my roof.” These are the words you, My followers, used at Holy Mass just before you come to receive Me in Holy Communion. These are words of humility and great faith and I was amazed to hear them from this Roman. I told the people who were following Me these words, “I tell you, not even in Israel have I found such faith.” The centurion’s friends returned home and found the slave was in good health.
My friends, Oh how happy I would be if you all had the strong faith that this centurion had. He knew he was a sinner and that I was the Son of God with all power. So he acted in a very humble way. Yes, My brothers and sisters, be humble before your heavenly Father and when you are in church, you are to genuflect before Me in the Blessed Sacrament in the tabernacle. In this way I will work with great joy to help you. I love a person with a humble heart. He will receive many gifts from Me. I love you all.”

A Tree Known by its Fruit

A Tree Known by its Fruit

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Luke 6, 43 – 49:

Jesus said, “A good tree does not bear rotten fruit, nor does a rotten tree bear good fruit. For every tree is known by its own fruit. For people do not pick figs from thornbushes, nor do they gather grapes from brambles. A good person out of the store of goodness in his heart produces good, but an evil person out of a store of evil produces evil; for from the fullness of the heart the mouth speaks.”
“Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ but not do what I command? I will show you what someone is like who comes to me, listens to my words, and acts on them. That one is like a person building a house, who dug deeply and laid the foundation on rock; when the flood came the river burst against that house but could not shake it because it had been well built. But the one who listens and does not act is like a person who built a house on the ground without a foundation. When the river burst against it, it collapsed at once and was completely destroyed.”

I wish to thank all those who have written to me to add names in the Book of Remembrance. I am offering three Masses a week for these people for a full year. So if you have any family member(s) who are sick or far from the Church, send me their names and I will add them to the book. It only costs $15.00 a person for all these prayers for a full year. I pray for them every day.

Below you will find the message of Our Dear Mother Mary given to Father Melvin. She spoke to him these words,

“I love you My son Melvin and all My sons and daughters who have a great love for My Son Jesus and for Me. Jesus, My Son, taught the people in Israel about the tree that is known by its fruit. You know that a good tree produces good fruit but a rotten tree produces rotten fruit. When you want a certain kind of fruit, you know what tree to go to get this fruit. It is the same with every person. If you listen to My Son Jesus and you act on what He taught you, then you are like a good tree producing good fruit. You heart will be full of goodness and you will produce all kinds of good things. However, if you are like a person who listens to My Son but refuse to act on what He told you, then your heart is full of evil and you will produce only what is evil. You will steal the things of others, you will judge others, you will tell lies about people and you will insult people and do many other terrible things.
I call you My sons and daughters to listen to My Son Jesus by reading the Bible especially the Gospels and take to heart what you read. These words of My Sons are words of life and they will help you to follow the way He followed. Come My dear children and be people of faith who love to pray every day and to love God with all your heart and to love your neighbor as yourself. If you follow My Son, then one day He will come and bring you home with Him to heaven. I bless you all.”

Judging Others

Judging Others

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Luke 6, 37 – 42:

Jesus said, “Stop judging and you will not be judged. Stop condemning and you will not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven. Give and gifts will be given to you; a good measure, packed together, shaken down, and over flowing, will be poured into your lap. For the measure with which you measure will in return be measured out to you.” And Jesus told them a parable, “Can a blind person guide a blind person? Will not both fall into a pit? No disciple is superior to the teacher; but when full trained, every disciple will be like his teacher. Why do you notice the splinter in your brother’s eye, but do not perceive the wooden beam in your own? How can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me remove that splinter in you eye,’ when you do not even notice the wooden beam in your own eye? You hypocrite! Remove the wooden beam from your eye first; then you will see clearly to remove the splinter in your brother’s eye.”

There is a lot of joy in the Philippines now that the Pope has arrived there on the 15th in the evening. Hundreds of thousands were at the airport to greet him and others were along the road as he travel by Popemobile to the papal consulate in Manila. I expect millions will be at the papal Mass tomorrow in the big city. I am very happy that the Pope is visiting this very catholic country.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“Love all your brothers and sister My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who acknowledge Me as your Redeemer. You are not to judge anyone and so you will not be judged. Do not condemn any person for if you do you too will be condemned. Forgive all those who offend you and the Father will forgive you. Remember I am your teacher so do not look upon yourself as superior to Me. When I will finish to train you then you will imitate Me in all that you do. However, it might take a life time to train you completely. It happens that a person sees what is wrong with his friend but he does not see the sins that he does. I call you all to ask forgiveness for your sins before you speak to your brother. It is so easy for one to be blind to his fault but he sees well the faults of his brothers and sisters.
My friends, I call upon you to pray for your brothers and sisters that they may receive the graces and the strength they need to follow Me. Prayers are very powerful and if you pray with all your heart, I will surely touch all those you prayed for. There are many today who have rejected Me but pray for them that they return to Me and begin again to pray and go to church. If you pray then I will bless you with great peace and joy. I love you all.”

Father Melvin

P.S. It was sunny almost the whole day but it became cloudy in the evening.
