The Woman and the Dragon

The Woman and the Dragon

Dear Friends,

A great sign appeared in the sky, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. She was with child and wailed aloud in pain as she labored to give birth. Then another sign appeared in the sky; it was a huge red dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, and on its heads were seven diadems. Its tail swept away a third of the stars in the sky and hurled them down to the earth. Then the dragon stood before the woman about to give birth, to devour her child when she gave birth. She gave birth to a son, a male child, destined to rule all the nations with an iron rod. Her child was caught up to God and his throne. The woman herself fled into the desert where she had a place prepared by God, that there she might be taken care of for twelve hundred and sixty days. Then war broke out in heaven; Michael and his angels battled against the dragon. The dragon and its angels fought back, but they did not prevail and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. The huge dragon, the ancient serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, who deceived the whole world, was thrown down to earth, and its angels were thrown down with it. Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have salvation and power come, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Anointed. For the accuser of our brothers is cast out, who accuses them before our God day and night. They conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; love for life did not deter them from death.(Passage from the Book of Revelation 12:1-11)

I am preparing for the retreat that will start tomorrow afternoon. Some people from New York have already arrived. I hope a good group comes.

Below you will find the message of Our Blessed Mother given to Father Melvin on her Feast of the Assumption. She spoke to him these words,

“It is with great joy that I greet you today, My son Joseph Melvin and all My sons and daughters scattered throughout the world. Today is the Feast of My Assumption into heaven. In His great love for Me, My Son Jesus brought Me to heaven body and soul like Him. I was given a beautiful home and, as Your Mother, I spend My eternity praying for every one of you. I continuously ask Jesus to give you all the gifts and graces that He has for you. I especially pray that all the people living in the world may receive the gift of faith and come to know and love My dear Son. I want you all near Me in heaven one day.

I defeated Satan as the story in the Book of Revelation tells you. As I gave birth to My Son, Satan wanted to snatch Him and destroy Him but he never had the chance. I wish to warn you, My dear children, never to have anything to do with Satan. Never get involved in anything Satanic such as New Age, Wicca, Reiki, ouija board, occultism or anything else. Remain close to My Son, Jesus, and follow Him and Satan will not have a hold on you. May you be filled with joy today on My great feast for indeed I am in heaven as Your Mother and Queen.”

The Anointing at Bethany

The Anointing at Bethany

Dear Friends,

Now when Jesus was in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, a woman came up to him with an alabaster jar of costly perfumed oil, and poured it on his head while he was reclining at table. When the disciples saw this, they were indignant and said, “Why this waste? It could have been sold for much, and the money given to the poor.” Since Jesus knew this, he said to them, “Why do you make trouble for the woman? She has done a good thing for me. The poor you will always have with you; but you will not always have me. In pouring this perfumed oil upon my body, she did it to prepare me for burial. Amen, I say to you, wherever this gospel is proclaimed in the whole world, what she has done will be spoken of, in memory of her.” (Passage from the Gospel of Matthew 26:6-13)

I will be at Holy Mass today at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road, at 11:00 a.m. Next Sunday will be a very special day at the church because we will have the annual picnic of the parish. The picnic attracts more than one thousand people for the whole afternoon. The Mass will be celebrated outside if the weather cooperates. After Mass we will have the big lobster supper at the hall and there will be music and games the whole afternoon. It ends at 6:00 p.m. We pray for a very fine day for August 21. Many people come from far away to attend the picnic.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I anoint you, My dear brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living all over the world. When I was on earth I placed My hands on the sick and they were healed. However, one day while I was in Bethany, a woman came and anointed Me with perfumed oil that was costly. The Apostles, especially Judas Iscariot, objected that this expensive oil should be placed on My head. They wanted it sold and the money given to the poor. They did not know that it was an anointing for My burial. After they removed Me from the cross, they buried Me in the tomb without any anointing. However, I had been anointed some days before.

This was another sign that My death was near. I would be killed by the Jewish leaders in Jerusalem to die for your salvation. I bless you all.”

The Wedding at Cana

The Wedding at Cana

Dear Friends,

On the third day there was a wedding in Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Jesus and his disciples were also invited to the wedding. When the wine ran short, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.” And Jesus said to her, “Woman, how does your concern affect me? My hour has not yet come.” His mother said to the servers, “Do whatever he tells you.” Now there were six stone water jars there for Jewish ceremonial washings, each holding twenty to thirty gallons. Jesus told them, “Fill the jars with water.” So they filled them to the brim. Then he told them, “Draw some out now and take it to the headwaiter.” So they took it. And when the headwaiter tasted the water that had become wine, without knowing where it came from (although the servers who had drawn the water knew), the headwaiter called the bridegroom and said to him, “Everyone serves good wine first, and then when people have drunk freely, an inferior one; but you have kept the good wine until now.” Jesus did this as the beginning of his signs in Cana in Galilee and so revealed his glory, and his disciples began to believe in him. (Passage from the Gospel of St. John, 2:1-11)

I have visitors who come to the Little Shrine of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island every day. They come to pray and often to ask for prayers. Next week on Tuesday there will be more people as I will start the retreat that day at 2:00 p.m., and it will last until Thursday at noon. All are welcome.

Below you will find the message of Our Blessed Mother given to Father Melvin. She spoke to him these words,

“I bless you, My brothers and sisters who read this message of mine. I would like you all to contemplate the reading concerning the Wedding Feast at Cana. My Son, Jesus, was there with the Apostles and I took part too in this feast. Cana is not far from Nazareth where I lived. During the Wedding Feast something happened and so they came to Me about the problem. They asked Me if I would ask My Son, Jesus, to help them. I went to Him and told Him that they ran out of wine. My Son had never performed a miracle before but at My request He changed the water into wine and it was good wine at that.

I want you, My dear children, to know that I am always ready to intercede for you as I did at Cana. My Son will never refuse My request, as it was obvious at the Wedding Feast. I am ready to pray for all your needs especially spiritual needs such as an increase of faith for you and for your loved ones. I pray for the sick and especially for those who are suffering much pain. Today there are many who are depressed and feel lost. Ask Me and I will pray for all those people because they are all My children. I love you all, My dear children, and I want you to be close to Jesus, My Son, and to listen to Him and to follow Him daily. Be men and women of prayer and especially pray your rosary every day. The rosary is My preferred prayer. Go to Holy Mass as often as you can and go to receive My Son in Holy Communion. He will bless you and you will make your Mother happy.”
