The Crucifixion of Jesus

The Crucifixion of Jesus

A reading from the Gospel of Saint John 19, 17 – 30:

So the Jews took Jesus, and carrying the cross himself he went out to what is called the Place of the Skull, in Hebrew, Golgotha. There they crucified him, and with him two others, one on either side, with Jesus in the middle. Pilate also had an inscription written and put on the cross. It read, “Jesus the Nazorean, the King of the Jews.” Now many of the Jews read this inscription, because the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city; and it was written in Hebrew, Latin and Greek. So the chief priests of the Jews said to Pilate, “Do not write ‘the King of the Jews,’ but that he said, “I am the King of the Jews.” Pilate answered, “What I have written, I have written.”
When the soldiers had crucified Jesus, they took his clothes and divided them into four shares, a share for each soldier. They also took his tunic, but the tunic was seamless, woven in one piece from the top down. So they said to one another, “Let’s not tear it, but cast lots for it to see whose it will be,” in order that the passage of scripture might be fulfilled that says, “They divided my garments among them, and for my vesture they cast lots.”
This is what the soldiers did. Standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother and his mother’s sister, Mary, the wife of Clopas, and Mary of Magdala. When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple there whom he loved, he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son.” Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother.” And from that hour the disciple took her into his home.
After this aware that everything was now finished, in order that the scripture might be fulfilled, Jesus said, “I thirst.” There was a vessel filled with common wine. So they put a sponge soaked in wine on a sprig of hyssop and put it up to his mouth. When Jesus had taken the wine, he said, “It is finished.” And bowing his head, he handed over the spirit.

On Wednesday, the first of July, was Canada Day. So I offered Holy Mass in the morning for all the people of Canada that they would follow Jesus, our Savior, and stop all the horrible acts that offend God such as abortion, euthanasia, same sex marriage and assisted suicide. I prayed for peace in the country and that all the poor will be helped. I know Jesus blessed the country and all the people.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“Come to My Cross, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who believe that it was by My death on the cross that I paid the price for your sins and I opened heaven for you. After My condemnation, I was given a cross to carry to Calvary. I fell three times on the way because I was very weak after all the beatings I received. At Calvary the soldiers nailed Me to the cross. They drove nails into the hands and feet and when they had finished they lifted the cross. I hung on the cross for three hours. My Mother and Saint John and others were there near the cross. My poor Mother was suffering very much seeing Me, Her Son, in such pain. I spoke to Her telling Her that Saint John was now Her son and I told Saint John that She was his Mother. In fact Saint John represented all the Christians of the world and in giving him My Mother as his mother, I gave Her to you all as your Mother. At the end, I said these words, “I thirst.” This thirst was not for water or wine but I thirst for the salvation of all the people of the world. After they touched My mouth with wine then I said the last words before dying. These words are, “It is finished.” After that I bowed My head and died. I died for you all for I love you all.”

The Trial before Pilate (3)

The Trial before Pilate (3)

A reading from the Gospel of Saint John 19, 12 – 16:

The Jews cried out, “If you release Jesus, you are not a friend of Caesar. Everyone who makes himself a king opposes Caesar.”
When Pilate heard these words he brought Jesus out and seated him on the judge’s bench in the place called Stone Pavement, in Hebrew, Gabbatha. It was preparation day of the Passover, and it was about noon. And Pilate said to the Jews, “Behold, your king!” They cried out, “Take him away, take him away! Crucify him!” Pilate said to them, “Shall I crucify your king?” The chief priests answered, “We have no king but Caesar.” Then Pilate handed him over to them to be crucified.

I thank the Lord for the beautiful summer day we had on Tuesday with a full day of sunshine. I will went to adoration this evening at our Parish Church. We have adoration there at the parish every Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Redeemer given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I bless you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who have followed Me through all My sufferings during My Passion. It is true that Pontus Pilate tried to have Me released but the Jews objected strongly. They shouted these words, “Everyone who makes himself a king opposes Caesar, the Emperor of Rome.
Pilate called Me back to come outside where the Jews were and he said to them these words, “Behold, your king!” But the Jews did not accept me but instead they told him to take Me away and to crucify Me. Pilate told them shall I crucify your king but they said we have only one king and he is Caesar. At that Pontus Pilate handed Me over to the Jews so they could crucify Me.
My dear friends, you see that although Pontus Pilate did not find a reason to have Me killed, he just the same handed Me over to the Jews to crucify Me. I knew that I would die on the cross but for a very special reason. I wanted to save every person who believes in Me. Come then, My brothers and sisters, believe in Me your Savior with all your heart and cooperate with all the graces I give you so that you will climb the ladder of holiness and one day be with Me in heaven. I love you all.”

The Trial before Pilate (2)

The Trial before Pilate (2)

A reading from the Gospel of Saint John 19, 1 -12:

Then Pilate took Jesus and had him scourged. And the soldiers wove a crown out of thorns and placed it on his head, and clothed him in a purple cloak, and they came to him and said, “Hail, King of the Jews!” And they struck him repeatedly. Once more Pilate went out and said to them, “Look, I am bringing him out to you, so that you may know that I find no guilt in him.” So Jesus came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple cloak. And he said to them, “Behold, the man!” When the chief priests and the guards saw him they cried out, “Crucify him, crucify him!” Pilate said to them, “Take him yourselves and crucify him. I find no guilt in him.” The Jews answered, “We have a law, and according to that law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God.” Now when Pilate heard this statement, he became even more afraid, and went back into the praetorium and said to Jesus, “Where are you from?” Jesus did not answer him. So Pilate said to him, “Do you not speak to me? Do you not know that I have the power to release you and I have the power to crucify you?” Jesus answered him, “You would have no power over me if it had not been given to you from above. For this reason the one who handed me over to you has the greater sin.” Consequently, Pilate tried to release him; but the Jews cried out, “If you release him, you are not a Friend of Caesar. Everyone who makes himself a king opposes Caesar.”

We had a rainy morning Monday but the sun came out in the afternoon. It was windy for most of the day. We should have a beautiful sunny day for Tuesday. I am praying for all of you every day that the Lord may bless you and give you all good health.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“Come My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who love Me and see what the Jews and Pontus Pilate have done during My trial. Pilate sent Me away so that the soldiers could scourge Me. They tied Me to a post and started beating Me with ropes and sticks so that at the end I was covered in wounds and blood was flowing all over My body. At the end I was lying on the floor with no more strength to move. At the end they made a crown from thorns and placed it on My head and hammered it in. Again blood flowed from all the wounds of the thorns and I felt great pain in My head and all over My body. These soldiers mocked Me and struck Me on the head to cause Me more pain. At the end Pilate called Me out and when I came to him, he told the Jews “Behold, the man!” Yet he could say that he found no guilt in Me. The Jews though shouted to the top of their lungs these words: Crucify him, crucify him. I knew that at the end they would take Me and crucify Me on the cross. I was ready to die for you all. I love you all.”
