The Presentation in the Temple

Dear Friends,

When the days were completed for their purification according to the law of Moses, they took the child Jesus up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord, just as it is written in the law of the Lord, “Every male that opens the womb shall be consecrated to the Lord,” and to offer the sacrifice of “a pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons,” in accordance with the dictate in the law of the Lord. Now there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon. This man was righteous and devout, awaiting the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he should not see death before he had seen the Messiah of the Lord. He came in the Spirit into the temple; and when the parents brought in the child Jesus to perform the custom of the law in regard to him, he took him into his arms and blessed God, saying: “Now, Master, you may let your servant go in peace, according to your word, for my eyes have seen your salvation, which you prepared in sight of all the peoples, a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and glory for your people Israel.” The child’s father and mother were amazed at what was said about him; and Simeon blessed them and said to Mary his mother, “Behold, this child is destined for the fall and rise of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be contradicted and you yourself a sword will pierce so that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.” (Passage from the Gospel of St. Luke 2:22-35)

This evening, the First Friday of November, I will have a Healing Mass at the Little Shrine of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island (The Mother of Life) and it will begin at 7:30 p.m. with the rosary starting at 7:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

Below you will find the message of Our Blessed Mother given to Father Melvin. She spoke to him these words,

“I bless you, My son Melvin and all My sons and daughters living all over the world. I am the Mother of Life as I brought Jesus, the Life, into the world. I am also the Mother of Life because I want every child who is conceived to be born. Every conceived child has the right to life. Therefore, I want you all to end abortion in the world.

Joseph and I brought the Child Jesus to the Temple when He was only a few weeks old and we offered Him to the Father. The holy man Simeon was present in the Temple and he took the Child in his arms and uttered a prophecy. As he spoke he turned to me and said that a sword would pierce My soul. This happened when I was standing at the cross of My Son when he was dying in horrible suffering. My pain was extreme as I beheld My Son covered with blood and dying. I united Myself with Him in sacrifice for your salvation. It was during the suffering and death of My Son that He paid for all your sins and opened heaven to you. Believe in Jesus, My Son, and follow Him and you will be in heaven with us one day. I love you all.”

Herod’s Desire to Kill Jesus

Herod’s Desire to Kill Jesus

Dear Friends,

At that time some Pharisees came to him and said, “Go away, leave this area because Herod wants to kill you.” He replied, “Go and tell that fox, ‘Behold, I cast out demons and I perform healings today and tomorrow, and on the third day I accomplish my purpose. Yet I must continue on my way today, tomorrow, and the following day, for it is impossible that a prophet should die outside of Jerusalem.’ (Jesus’ Lament over Jerusalem) “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how many times I yearned to gather your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, but you were unwilling! Behold, your house will be abandoned. But I tell you, you will not see me until the time comes when you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.'” (Passage from the Gospel of St. Luke 13:31-35)

I celebrated Holy Mass yesterday morning in the Little Shrine of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island at 9:30 a.m. and I prayed for the souls in Purgatory. I talked to those present about those who are suffering in Purgatory and how important it is for us to pray for these souls and to have Masses offered for them. Last evening I went to the prayer meeting here at our Parish Church. There were many people present and many prayed for the souls in Purgatory.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and God given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I thank you for your love, My dear brother Melvin, and all My brothers and sisters living in every country of the world. When I was living in Israel during My public life, even the King of the Jews wanted to kill Me as it is written in the Bible. You know that the Chief priests and many of the Jewish leaders also wanted to kill Me and at My trial before Pilate they urged the people to shout together,Crucify Him! Crucify Him! Can you believe that these Jewish leaders wanted to kill the Son of God, the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity, who had come into the world to save them all. Indeed, as you know, they succeeded to have Me crucify on the cross but I used this horrible death to offer Myself in sacrifice to the Father for your salvation. This was the reason I had come into the world to pay the price for all your sins and to open heaven to you all. You know that I wept over Jerusalem because the people of this great city did not welcome Me and did not believe in Me. Instead they rejected Me, beat Me severely, crowned Me with thorns, gave Me a big cross to carry and they knew that I did not have any strength and so I fell three times on the way to Calvary. At the end I was nailed to the Cross and died in great suffering with blood oozing out from all My wounds. I love you.”

Expiation for the Dead

Expiation for the Dead

Dear Friends,

Judas (the commander) rallied his army and went to the city of Adullam. As the week was ending, they purified themselves according to custom and kept the Sabbath there. On the following day, since the task had now become urgent, Judas and his men went to gather up the bodies of the slain and bury them with their kinsmen in their ancestral tombs. But under the tunic of each of the dead they found amulets sacred to the idols of Jamnia, which the law forbids the Jews to wear. So it was clear to all that this was why these men had been slain. They all therefore praised the ways of the Lord, the just judge who brings to light the things that are hidden. Turning to supplication, they prayed that the sinful deed might be fully blotted out. The noble Judas warned the soldiers to keep themselves free from sin, for they had seen with their own eyes what had happened because of the sin of those who had fallen. He then took up a collection among all his soldiers, amounting to two thousand silver drachmas, which he sent to Jerusalem to provide for an expiatory sacrifice. In doing this he acted in a very excellent and noble way, inasmuch as he had the resurrection of the dead in view; for if he were not expecting the fallen to rise again, it would have been useless and foolish to pray for them in death. But if he did this with a view to the splendid reward that awaits those who had gone to rest in godliness, it was a holy and pious thought. Thus he made atonement for the dead that they might be freed from this sin. (Passage from the 2 Book of Maccabees 12:38-46)

I was at Eucharistic Adoration last evening at the Immaculate Conception Church from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. It was a very beautiful hour spent with Jesus who fills us with His peace and love. Today I will celebrate Holy Mass at the Little Shrine of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island at 9:30 a.m. and we will commemorate all the faithful departed. We will pray for the souls in Purgatory.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I bless you, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters, as the Church commemorates the faithful departed. The Jews would have sacrifices offered for the dead in order to make atonement for the dead so they might be freed from their sins. I call you, all My followers, to pray for the souls in Purgatory that they may be released from this place of suffering and enter heaven as soon as possible. It is in Purgatory that all those who are imperfect have to be purified and enter into glory. There are seven levels in Purgatory and one goes to the level that corresponds with his or her sins. All these rely on the prayers of the faithful on earth so that they might get out of there quickly and enter heaven. I call you, all My brothers and sisters on earth, to follow faithfully the commandments of God and all My teachings. Avoid all sins including venial sins and repent of all your sins. If you die in holiness you will not go to Purgatory but you will go straight to heaven. Be people of prayer and open your hearts every day to all the graces I have for you. I love you all.”
