The Beatitudes

When he saw the crowds, he went up the mountain, and after he had sat down, his disciples came to him. He began to teach them, saying:

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are they who mourn, for they will be comforted.

Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the land.

Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied.

Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.

Blessed are the clean of heart, for they will see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.

Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness,

for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you and utter every kind of evil against you (falsely) because of me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven. Thus they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
(Passage from the Gospel of St. Matthew 5:1-12)

Dear Friends,

Today is the first day of the New Year. I wish you all a very Happy and Blessed New Year and may the Lord give you His peace, His love and His joy. May you open your heart to receive all the wonderful graces that the Lord has for you.

I will have a Healing Mass in the Little Shrine of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island on the First Friday of January at 7:30 p.m. This will be on January 6 and we will begin with the rosary at7:00 p.m.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words:)

“I bless you, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters scattered all over the world, as you begin the New Year today. I gave the Beatitudes to the Apostles while I was on earth. These show you the way to reach the Kingdom of God. You are all called to enter the Kingdom and to remain in the Kingdom all the days of your life on earth. I call you especially to be humble by avoiding all pride. A humble person is very near My heart. At times it happens that you lose a member of your family or a close friend; be close to Me and I will comfort you. Work, My friends, for righteousness so that justice may come into the world. I want you all to have a merciful heart and I will be merciful to you. Have a clean heart without thoughts of revenge, hatred, or sexual desires, then you will live with Me in heaven. My dear friends, work for peace every day and not division and you will be My follower and if you suffer because of Me, then be sure that one day you will be part of the Kingdom forever. Do not worry what other people are saying against you, just come and follow Me. I love you all.”

The Canticle of Mary

The Canticle of Mary

Mary said:
“My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord;
My spirit rejoices in God my savior.
For he has looked upon his handmaid’s lowliness;
Behold, from now on will all ages call me blessed.
The Mighty One has done great things for me,
And holy is his name.
His mercy is from age to age
To those who fear him.
He has shown might with his arm,
Dispersed the arrogant of mind and heart.
He has thrown down the rulers from their thrones
But lifted up the lowly.
The hungry he has filled with good things;
The rich he has sent away empty.
He has helped Israel his servant,
Remembering his mercy,
According to his promise to our fathers,
To Abraham and to his descendants forever.”
(Luke 1:46-55)

Dear Friends,

Today is the last day of the year 2011. We will have an hour of prayer this evening at the Little Shrine of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island. We will thank the Lord for the year that is coming to an end and we will pray for the Lords blessing for the New Year. We will especially pray that the graces that the Lord promised may be given to all the people everywhere so they may come to have an increase of faith, hope and love. Join us in spirit if you cannot be here. I wish you all a Very Happy and Grace-filled Year.

(Below you will find the Message of Our Blessed Mother given to Father Melvin. She spoke to him these words:)

“My blessings to you, My son Melvin, and to all My sons and daughters who read My messages. Today is the last day of the year 2011 and I call you all to give thanks for all the graces and gifts that you received from God during the year. I invite you to join Me to pray My canticle today and tomorrow. I sang this canticle the day I arrived at My cousin Elizabeth who spoke to Me in prophecy. Indeed God the Father had chosen Me to bring about the birth of His Son, Jesus, into the world. My Son, Jesus, was the greatest gift that you could receive. He is the Son of God, the One appointed to come into this world to save you. He is your only Savior, who gave His life for you to atone for your sins. Pray with great love this prayer for it is fitting to offer it today and also tomorrow. I love you all, My dear children, and I am praying for you always that you follow My Son, Jesus, by avoiding sin, praying every day and practicing all the virtues. May you all be blessed today and forever.”

P.S. I wish you all a Happy and Blessed New Year.

The Flight to Egypt and the Return from Egypt

The Flight to Egypt and the Return from Egypt

Dear Friends,

When the Magi had departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, “Rise, take the child and his mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I tell you. Herod is going to search for the child to destroy him.” Joseph rose and took the child and his mother by night and departed for Egypt. He stayed there until the death of Herod, that what the Lord had said through the prophet might be fulfilled, “Out of Egypt I called my son.” …  When Herod had died, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt and said, “Rise, take the child and his mother and go to the land of Israel, for those who sought the child’s life are dead.” He rose, took the child and his mother, and went to the land of Israel. But when he heard that Archelaus was ruling over Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go back there. And because he had been warned in a dream, he departed for the region of Galilee. He went and dwelt in a town called Nazareth, so that what had been spoken through the prophets might be fulfilled, “He shall be called a Nazorean.” (Passage from the Gospel of St. Matthew 2:13-15,19-23)

I was at church yesterday afternoon for a period of Christmas songs and to pray in thanksgiving for all that Jesus has done. After the concert we all went to the Parish Hall and had a meal together followed by a movie. On Saturday I will celebrate Holy Mass in the morning at 9:30 a.m. and in the evening I will have a one hour of prayer and adoration to thank the Lord for the year that is over and to ask for the Lords help and His blessing for the New Year 2012.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words:)

“I love you, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living in every part of the world. Already when I was just a small child, King Herod wanted to kill Me and that is why the Father sent an angel to tell Joseph to flee with Me and My Mother to Egypt. We were there for some years. After King Herod died, the angel returned to Joseph in a dream and told him to return to Israel with us. He did so and because the son of King Herod was now on the throne, we went to live in Nazareth. This is where I grew up. I wish to remind you that we all have our crosses to bear. When I was on earth I had My cross from the moment I was born until I died. Each one of you has a cross to carry. This cross is all the problems you are faced with in your life. For some it is sickness, others it is persecution by their enemies, others its trouble in their family; or it is lies by some people who want to destroy your reputation. Every one has something heavy to carry so what you have to do is to offer me this cross and I will help you and lighten your burden, and every day come and follow Me with your cross. I love you and I will give you the strength to carry that cross and one day it will be gone. I bless you all.”
