The Woman and the Dragon

A great sign appeared in the sky, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. She was with child and wailed aloud in pain as she labored to give birth. Then another sign appeared in the sky; it was a huge red dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, and on its heads were seven diadems. Its tail swept away a third of the stars in the sky and hurled them down to the earth. Then the dragon stood before the woman about to give birth, to devour her child when she gave birth. She gave birth to a son, a male child, destined to rule all the nations with an iron rod. Her child was caught up to God and his throne. The woman herself fled into the desert where she had a place prepared by God, that there she might be taken care of for twelve hundred and sixty days. Then war broke out in heaven; Michael and his angels battled against the dragon. The dragon and its angels fought back, but they did not prevail and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. The huge dragon, the ancient serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, who deceived the whole world, was thrown down to earth, and its angels were thrown down with it. (Passage from the Book of Revelation 12:1-9)

Dear Friends,

I celebrated the Healing Mass last evening at the Little Shrine of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island and a good crowd was present. I prayed with all the people present and I also put the names on the altar of all those who e-mailed me or phone me and asked for prayers. The Lord was working in a wonderful way. I will celebrate Holy Mass this morning at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady’s Little Shrine in honor of Saint Andre of Montreal.

(Below you will find the message of Our Blessed Mother given to Father Melvin. Our Lady spoke to him these words:)

“I bless you, My son Melvin and all My sons and daughters, who accept Me as your Mother. I want you never to doubt that the Devil, Satan, exists. He was an angel in heaven but because of his pride he rebelled against God and finally he was thrown down to the earth by the Archangel Michael and his angels. You must always be on the alert against the evil one. He will try in different ways to get you to turn against God and to commit sin. His only purpose for what he is doing is to bring you with him to hell. Pray regularly to St. Michael the Archangel that he may protect you. Follow My Son, Jesus, every day by praying and asking for His help. He is always there to help you. You must go to church regularly and receive Him with a heart full of love and you need to repent of all your sins. Jesus is the great example for you and I too, with the grace of God, was able to resist Satan and avoid sin. Only My Son has the power to help you every day for indeed He is the Son of God and your Savior. He suffered and died for you so you could be saved. Avoid every temptation that comes from the evil one or from others who are in league with him. I am praying for you that you will work daily with the graces you receive to follow the way of holiness. I love you all.”

John at the Jordan River

John at the Jordan River

The crowds asked him (John the Baptist), “What then should we do?” He said to them in reply, “Whoever has two cloaks should share with the person who has none. And whoever has food should do likewise.” Even tax collectors came to be baptized and they said to him, “Teacher, what should we do?” He answered them, “Stop collecting more than what is prescribed.” Soldiers also asked him, “And what is it that we should do?” He told them, “Do not practice extortion, do not falsely accuse anyone, and be satisfied with your wages.” Now the people were filled with expectation, and all were asking in their hearts whether John might be the Messiah. John answered them all, saying, “I am baptizing you with water, but one mightier than I is coming. I am not worthy to loosen the thongs of his sandals. He will baptize you with the holy Spirit and fire. His winnowing fan is in his hand to clear his threshing floor and to gather the wheat into his barn, but the chaff he will burn with unquenchable fire.” Exhorting them in many other ways, he preached good news to the people. Now Herod the tetrarch, who had been censured by him because of Herodias, his brother’s wife, and because of all the evil deeds Herod had committed, added still another to these by also putting John in prison. (Passage from the Gospel of St. Luke 3:10-20)

Dear Friends,

I will celebrate a Healing Mass this evening at 7:30 p.m. at the Little Shrine of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island and we will start with the rosary at 7:00 p.m. All are welcome to participate and please pray that the weather will be fine.

I wish to thank all those who sent me Christmas Cards and Sympathy Cards for my brother Hector. I also thank all those who send a donation for the upkeep of the Little Shrine for it is expensive in the winter.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words:)

“I place My healing hands on you, especially on you, My brother Melvin, and on all My brothers and sisters who live in every continent of the world. All are in need of healing, for you all have problems whether minor or major. You know that I am the worlds healer and I have appointed some of My dear friends to pray for you for healings.

One who healed the hearts of many people was St. John the Baptist. He was called to baptize all those who repented of their sins. This is indeed very important and that is why I established the Sacrament of Penance for all those who wish to follow Me. I work through the priests to remove your sins and to give you the graces, I won for you, so you can do better in the future. I call you all to go to a priest for confession at least once a month. If you do this and pray regularly, you will be able to overcome your sinful ways and climb the mountain with My help. I want you all to be holy. I bless you all.”

The Preaching of John the Baptist

The Preaching of John the Baptist

The word of God came to John the son of Zechariah in the desert. He went throughout the whole region of the Jordan, proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins, as it is written in the book of the words of the prophet Isaiah:

“A voice of one crying out in the desert: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord, make straight his paths. Every valley shall be filled and every mountain and hill shall be made low. The winding roads shall be made straight, and the rough ways made smooth, and all flesh shall see the salvation of God.'”

He said to the crowds who came out to be baptized by him, “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? Produce good fruits as evidence of your repentance; and do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father,’ for I tell you, God can raise up children to Abraham from these stones. Even now the ax lies at the root of the trees. Therefore every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.” (Gospel of St. Luc 3:2b-9)

Dear Friends,

I went to the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road, last evening for the prayer meeting. A good crowd was present and there were fervent prayers offered up to the Lord for many people. We prayed especially for great trust and confidence in the Lord that we might have great peace in following the Lord.

Today at 9:00 a.m., at the Little Shrine of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island, I will celebrate Holy Mass in French for the French-speaking people living around here. We have a little bit of snow this morning but very little indeed.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words:)

“I pour great graces on you, My brother Melvin, and upon all My brothers and sisters living in the world. Have trust in Me for I am the Son of God who has all power and who knows all things. It was St. John the Baptist who introduced Me to the people at the beginning of My public life. He called the people to repent of their sins by being baptized in the Jordan River and many, many people came to be baptized. Indeed St. John the Baptist worked in the name of the Prophet Isaiah, who wrote many pages about Me, the Messiah who was to come into the world. I came when the time was ripe and it did not take Me long to choose the 12 Apostles who were to live with Me for My three years of public life. At the end I founded My Church on them with St. Peter at the head. They are all saints except Judas who betrayed Me. Ask the Apostles to pray for the church I founded on them and to pray for the Pope, the Bishops and the priests. They all need graces to carry out their work in My name. Pray also for unity in My Church that all will follow My teachings and the teachings of the Apostles and their successors. I bless you all.”
