The Lament for Jerusalem

As Jesus drew near, he saw the city (Jerusalem) and wept over it, saying, “If this day you only knew what makes for peace – but now it is hidden from your eyes. For the days are coming upon you when your enemies will raise a palisade against you; they will encircle you and hem you in on all sides. They will smash you to the ground and your children within you, and they will not leave one stone upon another within you because you did not recognize the time of your visitation.” Then Jesus entered the temple area and proceeded to drive out those who were selling things, saying to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be a house of prayer, but you have made it a den of thieves.'” And every day he was teaching in the temple area. The chief priests, the scribes, and the leaders of the people, meanwhile, were seeking to put him to death, but they could find no way to accomplish their purpose because all the people were hanging on his words. (

Passage from the Gospel of St. Luke 19:41-48)

Dear Friends,

I did not leave for Ontario yesterday because the people I was going to see phoned to ask to delay until Monday or Tuesday next week. So I hope to leave by Monday if the weather is good. Good news: a man with cancer came to the healing Mass sometime ago and I know many people prayed for him. Two days ago he went for an operation and when the surgeon opened him up, the tumor had shrunk and hardly anything of it was left. Let us praise the Lord for this great miracle.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus gave him this message:)

“”I call you all to be My close friends, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living all over the world. You see that the people of Jerusalem did not welcome Me but instead they arrested Me and crucified Me. Well, the Father decided that Jerusalem would be completely destroyed. This happened about 40 years after My death on the cross. Remember, God is just and all people will be judged when they die.

I also chased from the temple those who were selling there. The temple is a house of prayer. So, you too, My brothers and sisters, have great respect for the churches for they all are the place where I reside. I bless you all.””

The Entry into Jerusalem

The Entry into Jerusalem

After Jesus had said this, he proceeded on his journey up to Jerusalem. As he drew near to Bethphage and Bethany at the place called the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples. He said, “Go into the village opposite you, and as you enter it you will find a colt tethered on which no one has ever sat. Untie it and bring it here. And if anyone should ask you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ you will answer, ‘The Master has need of it.'” So those who had been sent went off and found everything just as he had told them. And as they were untying the colt, its owners said to them, “Why are you untying this colt?” They answered, “The Master has need of it.” So they brought it to Jesus, threw their cloaks over the colt, and helped Jesus to mount. As he rode along, the people were spreading their cloaks on the road; and now as he was approaching the slope of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of his disciples began to praise God aloud with joy for all the mighty deeds they had seen. They proclaimed: “Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord. Peace in heaven and glory in the highest.” Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples.” He said in reply, “I tell you, if they keep silent, the stones will cry out!” (Passage from the Gospel of St. Luke 19:28-40)

Dear Friends,

I will celebrate Holy Mass this morning in the Little Shrine of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island at 9:30 a.m.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Redeemer given to Father Melvin. Jesus gave him this message:)

Come and join the people of Jerusalem, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living in every country of the world, and give glory to your Savior who is entering the Holy City of Jerusalem. It was only right that the people glorified Me as I am the Son of God. Yes, the city was full of joy as I entered the city from the Mount of Olives. I wish to remind you that this triumphant entry into Jerusalem was only a week before My suffering and death on the cross. How fickle the people were!

You, My friends, believe in Me and you know that I am your Savior, so do not be afraid to welcome Me in your hearts, in your homes and in your gatherings. I am there to help you and to guide you. Do you shout in joy one day and the next day reject Me by doing all kinds of evil deeds? I want you to be My friends today and every day. In this way you will put Me first in your life and I will live in you. Your heart will be filled with My love, with My peace and My joy. I bless you all.””

P.S. I will leave early on Thursday morning for Ontario and I will return during the weekend.

Zacchaeus, the Tax Collector

Zacchaeus, the Tax Collector

Jesus came to Jericho and intended to pass through the town. Now a man there named Zacchaeus, who was a chief tax collector and also a wealthy man, was seeking to see who Jesus was; but he could not see him because of the crowd, for he was short in stature. So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore tree in order to see Jesus, who was about to pass that way. When he reached the place, Jesus looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, come down quickly, for today I must stay at your house.” And he came down quickly and received him with joy. When they all saw this, they began to grumble, saying, “He has gone to stay at the house of a sinner.” But Zacchaeus stood there and said to the Lord, “Behold, half of my possessions, Lord, I shall give to the poor, and if I have extorted anything from anyone I shall repay it four times over.” And Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house because this man too is a descendant of Abraham. For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save what was lost.” (Passage from the Gospel of St. Luke 19:1-10)

Dear Friends,

I was at the Manor yesterday afternoon and a big group came to Holy Mass. I also visited those who were bedridden and gave them Holy Communion. Today I will go to our parish church and spend time in adoration before the Blessed Sacrament exposed on the altar.

(Below you will find the words of Our Lord and Redeemer given to Father Melvin. Jesus gave him these words:)

“I love you, My brother Melvin, and all My brothers and sisters who read My messages every day. The words I address to you every day is to help you come to know Me and to be closely united with Me. Zacchaeus was a man far from Me who was not just with the people he was dealing with. But you know that I came into the world to save you and I decided to bring salvation to Zacchaeus. I went to stay at his house for one night. With this gesture of mine, Zacchaeus was converted and repented of all his sins. After that he followed Me.

I am calling you all to imitate Zacchaeus by repenting of your sins and forgiving those who have hurt you in any way. By doing this you will reflect Me to the others and bring them too to follow Me. I bless you all.””
