Paul is transferred to Caesarea

Dear Friends,

Please read the passage below from the Acts of the Apostles (23:23-35):

Then he (the commander) summoned two of the centurions and said, “Get two hundred soldiers ready to go to Caesarea by nine o’clock tonight, along with seventy horsemen and two hundred auxiliaries. Provide mounts for Paul to ride and give him safe conduct to Felix the governor.” Then he wrote a letter with this content: “Claudius Lysias to his excellency the governor Felix, greetings. This man, seized by the Jews and about to be murdered by them, I rescued after intervening with my troops when I learned that he was a Roman citizen. I wanted to learn the reason for their accusations against him so I brought him down to their Sanhedrin. I discovered that he was accused in matters of controversial questions of their law and not of any charge deserving death or imprisonment. Since it was brought to my attention that there will be a plot against the man, I am sending him to you at once, and have also notified his accusers to state their case against him before you.” So the soldiers, according to their orders, took Paul and escorted him by night to Antipatris. The next day they re turned to the compound, leaving the horsemen to complete the journey with him. When they arrived in Caesarea they delivered the letter to the governor and presented Paul to him. When he had read it and asked to what province he belonged, and learned that he was from Cilicia, he said, “I shall hear your case when your accusers arrive.” Then he ordered that he be held in custody in Herod’s praetorium.

The Pro-Life meeting was cancelled last evening at the parish church because there were confessions instead to prepare for Easter. No Catholic should ever think of having an abortion because it is the killing of a child in the womb of his mother. Let us pray every day for an end to abortion in the world.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words.)

“I call you to trust Me with all your heart, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living in every country of the world. St. Paul had great trust in Me and I made sure that he was taken away from Jerusalem so that nothing would happen to him. It is true that he was imprisoned for a long time but he could continue his work for Me. You know that at the end he was martyred in Rome where St. Peter was martyred too. All the Apostles except St. John were martyred for their faith and in so doing they made manifest their great faith and love for Me. Their example is a great lesson for all of you. They are telling you that it is true that I am the Savior of the world and the Son of God. I am at work today as I was at the time of the Apostles. I desire that you follow Me while you are in the world and when your time comes for you to leave this world, you will come to join the Father, the Holy Spirit and Me in the glory of heaven. My Mother will be there too to welcome you. Come and follow Me every day.”

They want to kill Paul

They want to kill Paul

Dear Friends,

Please read the passage below from the Acts of the Apostles (23:12-22):

When day came, the Jews made a plot and bound themselves by oath not to eat or drink until they had killed Paul. There were more than forty who formed this conspiracy. They went to the chief priests and elders and said, “We have bound ourselves by a solemn oath to taste nothing until we have killed Paul. You, together with the Sanhedrin, must now make an official request to the commander to have him bring him down to you, as though you meant to investigate his case more thoroughly. We on our part are prepared to kill him before he arrives.” The son of Paul’s sister, however, heard about the ambush; so he went and entered the compound and reported it to Paul. Paul then called one of the centurions and requested, “Take this young man to the commander; he has something to report to him.” So he took him and brought him to the commander and explained, “The prisoner Paul called me and asked that I bring this young man to you; he has something to say to you.” The commander took him by the hand, drew him aside, and asked him privately, “What is it you have to report to me?” He replied, “The Jews have conspired to ask you to bring Paul down to the Sanhedrin tomorrow, as though they meant to inquire about him more thoroughly, but do not believe them. More than forty of them are lying in wait for him; they have bound themselves by oath not to eat or drink until they have killed him. They are now ready and only wait for your consent.” As the commander dismissed the young man he directed him, “Tell no one that you gave me this information.”

I celebrated Holy Mass yesterday morning at the Little Shrine of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island and in the evening I went to the prayer meeting at our parish.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words.)

“Do not be afraid, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who believe in Me and follow Me. I am there to protect you. St. Paul suffered much at the end of his life as the Jews wanted to kill him. They had invented a way to kill him but I made sure that it would not work. He was spared by the soldiers.

Many of you who follow Me are attacked at times. Some are spreading all kinds of lies and nonsense about you, hoping to destroy your character. Do not worry about the tactics of the evil one; I am there to help you and you will see that what they do will not come to fruition. I want you all to remain with Me and spread My Word throughout the world. It is those who accept My Word and enter My Church who will be saved. It is a fact that some will suffer martyrdom like St. Paul but this act is the greatest that you could ever accomplish but it is not for everyone. I bless you all and the angels are there to help you including your Guardian Angels.”

Paul before the Sanhedrin

Paul before the Sanhedrin

Dear Friends,

Please read the following passage from the Acts of the Apostles (23:1-11):

Paul looked intently at the Sanhedrin and said, “My brothers, I have conducted myself with a perfectly clear conscience before God to this day.” The high priest Ananias ordered his attendants to strike his mouth. Then Paul said to him, “God will strike you, you whitewashed wall. Do you indeed sit in judgment upon me according to the law and yet in violation of the law order me to be struck?” The attendants said, “Would you revile God’s high priest?” Paul answered, “Brothers, I did not realize he was the high priest. For it is written, ‘You shall not curse a ruler of your people.’ Paul was aware that some were Sadducees and some Pharisees, so he called out before the Sanhedrin, “My brothers, I am a Pharisee, the son of Pharisees; I am on trial for hope in the resurrection of the dead.” When he said this, a dispute broke out between the Pharisees and Sadducees, and the group became divided. For the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection or angels or spirits, while the Pharisees acknowledge all three. A great uproar occurred, and some scribes belonging to the Pharisee party stood up and sharply argued, “We find nothing wrong with this man. Suppose a spirit or an angel has spoken to him?” The dispute was so serious that the commander, afraid that Paul would be torn to pieces by them, ordered his troops to go down and rescue him from their midst and take him into the compound. The following night the Lord stood by him and said, “Take courage. For just as you have borne witness to my cause in Jerusalem, so you must also bear witness in Rome.”

We had a very warm day yesterday and a lot of snow disappeared. It will be warm again today. Last evening I went to our parish church for one hour of Eucharistic Adoration.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Redeemer given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words.)

“I love you, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters scattered all over the world. Do not be afraid to be My witnesses wherever you live. See how St. Paul, My Apostle, was not afraid to witness to Me and about My resurrection. Indeed the Jews were divided because only the Pharisees believed in the resurrection of the dead. It is a fact that after three days in the tomb I came back to life with an incorrupt body. All the Apostles saw Me and others too. I ate with the Apostles, I spoke to them and I even cooked for them. I stayed with them for forty days after My resurrection to teach them and to prepare them to receive the Holy Spirit at Pentecost and to begin My Church. On the fortieth day after My resurrection I ascended into heaven in their midst. They saw me rising and going up to heaven where I took My place on the right of My Heavenly Father as your Savior and at the end I will return to earth to judge the living and the dead. Be faithful to Me every day of your life and I will come to take you to heaven one day. I bless you all.
