The Promise of the Spirit

Dear Friends,

Please read the passage below from the Acts of the Apostles (1:1-5):

In the first book, Theophilus, I dealt with all that Jesus did and taught until the day he was taken up, after giving instructions through the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom he had chosen. He presented himself alive to them by many proofs after he had suffered, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God. While meeting with them, he enjoined them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for “the promise of the Father about which you have heard me speak; for John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”

I returned from my pilgrimage on Saturday after spending 18 days in Europe. The pilgrimage started in Prague in the Czech Republic. We went to the church where the beautiful statue of the Infant Jesus of Prague is located. We prayed there asking Jesus for His help. The next day the 37 of us were in Poland. We first went to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Jasna Gora, where I celebrated Holy Mass with the group. The next day we were at Krakow at the Great Shrine of Divine Mercy. We spent the day visiting there and I celebrated Holy Mass at the chapel of the religious sisters where the remains of Saint Faustina are kept. We visited the great church that was blessed by the Blessed John Paul II. The next day we visited the church where Pope John Paul was baptized, made his first Holy Communion, was confirmed and was ordained a priest. We also visited a few more beautiful places. The following day, Divine Mercy Sunday, it was raining hard in Krakow in the morning so I celebrated Holy Mass at the monastery where we were staying, and at 3:00 p.m. we were at the shrine again for the chaplet of Divine Mercy. In the late afternoon we left Poland and went to sleep in the Czech Republic. In the morning we left for Austria where I celebrated Holy Mass at the church of the Mother of the Forest. Then we traveled through the Alps to Padua in Northern Italy. I will continue with our trip tomorrow.

I just want to remind you that there will be a Healing Service on the First Friday of May starting with the rosary at 7:00 p.m.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words.)

“I bless you, My brother and all My brothers and sisters scattered all over the world. Before My Ascension into heaven, I spoke to the Apostles about the coming of the Holy Spirit. I had to return to heaven before the Holy Spirit could come on the Apostles. God the Holy Spirit is a great gift, which the Father and I sent upon the Apostles on the day of Pentecost. The Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Blessed Trinity. He is the sanctifier whom you all need to become holy. Pray, My friends, that you may receive the Holy Spirit every day with an increase of all His gifts. If you are in the state of grace, He lives in you together with the Father and I. He will give you the strength you need to follow Me. Live in the power of the Holy Spirit and be at peace.”

The Appearance to the Disciples

Dear Friends,

Please read the passage below from the Gospel of St. John (20:19-31):

On the evening of that first day of the week, when the doors were locked, where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst and said to them, “Peace be with you.” When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. The disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord. Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.” And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the holy Spirit. Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained.” Thomas, called Didymus, one of the Twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. So the other disciples said to him, “We have seen the Lord.” But he said to them, “Unless I see the mark of the nails in his hands and put my finger into the nailmarks and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.” Now a week later his disciples were again inside and Thomas was with them. Jesus came, although the doors were locked, and stood in their midst and said, “Peace be with you.” Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here and see my hands, and bring your hand and put it into my side, and do not be unbelieving, but believe.” Thomas answered and said to him, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus said to him, “Have you come to believe because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed.” Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of his disciples that are not written in this book. But these are written that you may come to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that through this belief you may have life in his name.

I will leave tomorrow and so there will be no message until I return. I will be back April 28 in the morning. Please pray that this trip will go well.

(Below you will find the message from Our Lord and Redeemer given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,)

“I am fully alive and come to believe in Me, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living in every country of the world. Yes, I arose from the dead and I appeared to the Apostles. There was only one missing when I appeared to them the first time. The one missing was Thomas. After I showed them My hands and My side, they came to believe although some did doubt. Thomas, however, when he was told by the Apostles that they had seen Me, would not believe. He first wanted to place his hand in the wounds of the nail and into My side. When I came a second time Thomas was present and I called him to put his hand in the wounds of My hands and in My side and then he believed saying, ‘My Lord and My God.’

The first time I came, I gave them the power through the Holy Spirit to absolve sins or to refuse to absolve sins. You know that this power has been handed down through the Apostles to the Bishops and priests of today. I call you all to believe in My Resurrection as the Apostles did. I am truly the Savior of the world. I bless you all.”

The Resurrection of Jesus

Dear Friends,

Please read the passage below from the Gospel of St. Luke (24:1-12):

At daybreak on the first day of the week the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb; but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were puzzling over this, behold, two men in dazzling garments appeared to them. They were terrified and bowed their faces to the ground. They said to them, “Why do you seek the living one among the dead? He is not here, but he has been raised. Remember what he said to you while he was still in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be handed over to sinners and be crucified, and rise on the third day.” And they remembered his words. Then they returned from the tomb and announced all these things to the eleven and to all the others. The women were Mary Magdalene, Joanna, and Mary the mother of James; the others who accompanied them also told this to the apostles, but their story seemed like nonsense and they did not believe them. But Peter got up and ran to the tomb, bent down, and saw the burial cloths alone; then he went home amazed at what had happened.

I wish you all a very happy Easter filled with great joy at the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He is risen, never to die again. May He fill you with His gifts and give you all the graces you need. Ask Him to increase your faith, hope and love so you may act as He did. He is at work all the time to save us all.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Redeemer given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words.)

“May your hearts be filled with joy, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who rejoice today at My resurrection. As the Son of God it was impossible for Me to remain in the tomb for any length of time. I came back to life to show you that everything I told you is true and indeed I am your Savior. I am the first person to rise from the dead, except of course those like Lazarus whom I brought back to life. However, I came back to life with a resurrected body, never to suffer or die again.

The Resurrection is of very great importance for the people of the earth. If I had not risen, you would not have faith today. All I did during My life would be forgotten but I came back to life to put the finishing touch on everything I did and taught you. It took time to convince the Apostles that I was not a ghost but that the one before them was truly Me, as they had known Me when I lived with them. I stayed with them for forty days to strengthen their faith and to finish My teaching. At the end, their faith was strong and they went out throughout the world to teach the people about Me and to found My Church. I want you all to have the faith of the Apostles never doubting that indeed I am the Messiah sent by the Father for your salvation. My Mother was also a great witness showing the people Her great faith in Me. Believe in Me and follow Me and you will be saved. I love you all.”

Father Melvin

P.S. I wish you all a Happy and Joyful Easter.
