God’s Indescribable Gift

Dear Friends,

A reading from St. Paul’s Second Letter to the Corinthians (2 Cor 9:1-15):

Now about the service to the holy ones, it is superfluous for me to write to you, for I know your eagerness, about which I boast of you to the Macedonians, that Achaia has been ready since last year; and your zeal has stirred up most of them. Nonetheless, I sent the brothers so that our boast about you might be ready, as I said, for fear that if any Macedonians come with me and find you not ready we might be put to shame (to say nothing of you) in this conviction. So I thought it necessary to encourage the brothers to go on ahead to you and arrange in advance for your promised gift, so that in this way it might be ready as a bountiful gift and not as an exaction.

Consider this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each must do as already determined, without sadness or compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. Moreover, God is able to make every grace abundant for you, so that in all things, always having all you need, you may have an abundance for every good work. As it is written: He scatters abroad, he gives to the poor; his righteousness endures forever.

The one who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed and increase the harvest of your righteousness. You are being enriched in every way for all generosity, which through us produces thanksgiving to God, for the administration of this public service is not only supplying the needs of the holy ones but is also overflowing in many acts of thanksgiving to God. Through the evidence of this service, you are glorifying God for your obedient confession of the gospel of Christ and the generosity of your contribution to them and to all others, while in prayer on your behalf they long for you, because of the surpassing grace of God upon you. Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Redeemer given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words.)

Open your hand to the poor My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters scattered in every country of the world. It is through your generosity that one can see your great faith in Me. When I was on earth I gave everything I had even My own life for you. I thank all those who offer themselves totally to Me and desire to do My will whatever that will be. There are many of My followers who collect money to help the poor wherever they live in the world. There are at times disasters like in Haiti where many people died and lost their homes and a lot of their property. So many people worked hard to help these people in their great suffering. This is what I expect from My followers. They are always on the lookout to help those in need. Remember when you help a poor person, it is the same as if you were helping Me. I thank you for all you do and you will receive great graces because of your generosity. I love you.

Generosity in Giving

Generosity in Giving

Dear Friends,

A reading from St. Paul’s Second Letter to the Corinthians (2 Cor 8:1-15):

We want you to know, brothers, of the grace of God that has been given to the churches of Macedonia, for in a severe test of affliction, the abundance of their joy and their profound poverty overflowed in a wealth of generosity on their part. For according to their means, I can testify, and beyond their means, spontaneously, they begged us insistently for the favor of taking part in the service to the holy ones, and this, not as we expected, but they gave themselves first to the Lord and to us through the will of God, so that we urged Titus that, as he had already begun, he should also complete for you this gracious act also. Now as you excel in every respect, in faith, discourse, knowledge, all earnestness, and in the love we have for you, may you excel in this gracious act also.

I say this not by way of command but to test the genuineness of your love by your concern for others. For you know the gracious act of our Lord Jesus Christ, that for your sake he became poor although he was rich, so that by his poverty you might become rich. And I am giving counsel in this matter, for it is appropriate for you who began not only to act but to act willingly last year: complete it now, so that your eager willingness may be matched by your completion of it out of what you have. For if the eagerness is there, it is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have; not that others should have relief while you are burdened, but that as a matter of equality your surplus at the present time should supply their needs, so that their surplus may also supply your needs, that there may be equality. As it is written: Whoever had much did not have more, and whoever had little did not have less.

People are coming to visit the little home of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island almost every day now. They love to pray here.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words.)

I bless you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who daily give themselves to help others. You are not turned in upon yourselves but you are turned toward others especially those who suffer in one way or another. Continue to pray for the sick and My brother Melvin place your healing hands on them for My healing power is passing through you. Pray for physical healing but also spiritual healing. There are many who need spiritual healing like this lady who visited you lately. She was all mixed up, as she did not attend the church I founded on the Apostles but another founded by human beings. Now her heart has been healed and she will return to My Church and I will bless you with much love and peace. If any of you are living in sin, you need to do something about this immediately. You need to change your life and follow My way, which the Church has the duty to teach you all. If you come and follow Me, you will be blessed indeed and you will have great peace in your heart and I will give you the graces you need every day. Remain always with Me.”

Paul’s Joy in Macedonia

Paul’s Joy in Macedonia

Dear Friends,

A reading from St. Paul’s Second Letter to the Corinthians (2 Cor 7:5-16):

For even when we came into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were afflicted in every way — external conflicts, internal fears. But God, who encourages the downcast, encouraged us by the arrival of Titus, and not only by his arrival but also by the encouragement with which he was encouraged in regard to you, as he told us of your yearning, your lament, your zeal for me, so that I rejoiced even more. For even if I saddened you by my letter, I do not regret it; and if I did regret it for I see that that letter saddened you, if only for a while, I rejoice now, not because you were saddened, but because you were saddened into repentance; for you were saddened in a godly way, so that you did not suffer loss in anything because of us. For godly sorrow produces a salutary repentance without regret, but worldly sorrow produces death. For behold what earnestness this godly sorrow has produced for you, as well as readiness for a defense, and indignation, and fear, and yearning, and zeal, and punishment. In every way you have shown yourselves to be innocent in the matter. So then even though I wrote to you, it was not on account of the one who did the wrong, or on account of the one who suffered the wrong, but in order that your concern for us might be made plain to you in the sight of God. For this reason we are encouraged.

And besides our encouragement, we rejoice even more because of the joy of Titus, since his spirit has been refreshed by all of you. For if I have boasted to him about you, I was not put to shame. No, just as everything we said to you was true, so our boasting before Titus proved to be the truth. And his heart goes out to you all the more, as he remembers the obedience of all of you, when you received him with fear and trembling. I rejoice because I have confidence in you in every respect.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Redeemer given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words.)

Be of good cheer My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living in every part of the world. I want you all to be filled with joy for you are My friends. This is one of the gifts I give My friends. If you are far from Me, you will feel empty and often depressed because My great gifts do not reach you. Your heart is filled with darkness and sin. Repent then of all your sins and I will chase that darkness away and the light of joy will enter your heart. I often filled St. Paul’s spirit with My peace and joy for he was one of My greatest friends. He did My will every day. He was not fill with pride but was a humble man whose only wish was to bring all the people to Me and to have the experience he had of Me. Today I am calling you all to take St. Paul to heart and to listen to him. Yes, there are trials while living on earth but do not let those bring you down. Come instead to Me and I will refresh you and fill you with My gifts. I have all power and I desire to help you if you remain with Me. I love you.”
