The Council of Jerusalem

Dear Friends,

A reading from St. Paul’s Letter to the Galatians (2:1-10):

Then after fourteen years I again went up to Jerusalem with Barnabas, taking Titus along also. I went up in accord with a revelation, and I presented to them the gospel that I preached to the Gentiles – but privately to those of repute – so that I might not be running, or have run, in vain. Moreover, not even Titus, who was with me, although he was a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised, but because of the false brothers secretly brought in, who slipped in to spy on our freedom that we have in Christ Jesus, that they might enslave us – to them we did not submit even for a moment, so that the truth of the gospel might remain intact for you. But from those who were reputed to be important (what they once were makes no difference to me; God shows no partiality) – those of repute made me add nothing. On the contrary, when they saw that I had been entrusted with the gospel to the uncircumcised, just as Peter to the circumcised, for the one who worked in Peter for an apostolate to the circumcised worked also in me for the Gentiles, and when they recognized the grace bestowed upon me, James and Kephas and John, who were reputed to be pillars, gave me and Barnabas their right hands in partnership, that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised. Only we were to be mindful of the poor, which is the very thing I was eager to do.

—————————————

I wish to thank all those who have helped me in different ways. I see that many people have entered their loved one in the Book of Remembrance and I continue to offer Masses and pray for them regularly. I also thank the Lord for the beautiful day we had yesterday and especially the warm sun yesterday afternoon.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words.)

I bless you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters scattered throughout the many countries of the world. The vast majority of people who believe in Me and follow Me are Gentiles and not Jews. You know I was born in Israel and My Mother Mary was also born in Israel and so was My foster father Joseph. We were all Jews for that nation had been chosen by Our Heavenly Father to prepare for the coming of the Savior of the world. The first ones to believe in Me while I was still living in Israel were the Apostles and others and all these too were Jews. However, the majority of the Jews rejected Me and had Me crucified on the cross. So I sent the Apostles especially St. Paul to go and preach to the Gentiles and a vast majority of them became My followers. I told St. Paul that the Gentiles did not have to become Jews in order to join My Church. So the Apostles held the Council of Jerusalem and decided that all the Jewish customs of the time did not have to be adopted by the Gentiles. That is why today you who are Gentiles are free from all the Jewish ways. You are called to follow Me and follow the Ten Commandments and that is enough. Those who follow My Church will be saved. I bless you and I am always ready to give you the graces you need.”

Loyalty to the Gospel

Loyalty to the Gospel

Dear Friends,

A reading from St. Paul’s Letter to the Galatians (1:6-17):

I am amazed that you are so quickly forsaking the one who called you by the grace of Christ for a different gospel (not that there is another). But there are some who are disturbing you and wish to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel other than the one that we preached to you, let that one be accursed! As we have said before, and now I say again, if anyone preaches to you a gospel other than the one that you received, let that one be accursed.

Am I now currying favor with human beings or God? Or am I seeking to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a slave of Christ.

Now I want you to know, brothers, that the gospel preached by me is not of human origin. For I did not receive it from a human being, nor was I taught it, but came through a revelation of Jesus Christ.

For you heard of my former way of life in Judaism, how I persecuted the church of God beyond measure and tried to destroy it, and progressed in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries among my race, since I was even more a zealot for my ancestral traditions. But when God, who from my mother’s womb had set me apart and called me through his grace, was pleased to reveal his Son to me, so that I might proclaim him to the Gentiles. I did not immediately consult flesh and blood, nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; rather, I went into Arabia and then returned to Damascus.

———————————–

I call you all to pray for the intentions of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island especially for her shrine and that I will be able to start the Brothers and Sisters of Jesus soon.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Redeemer Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words.)

I call you all to be loyal to Me especially you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living in every part of the world. When I was on earth I was loyal to My Heavenly Father every day of My life on earth. I came to do His will. You too should have the same reason wanting to follow My will every day.

There are some people these days that are teaching falsehood but saying that it comes from Me. Only My church can teach the true Gospel, which I brought into the world. There will only be the one Gospel and this is what you are to follow with all your heart. St. Paul in his earlier days was a persecutor of My Church. He wanted to destroy the Church I had founded on the Apostles. At the end I woke him up and he was converted. He came to believe in Me and he followed the true Gospel all the years after that until his death as a martyr in Rome. Do not listen to such people as those who belong to New Age or the church of the Latter Day Saints. There is no truth in what they teach. Follow Me in My Church and you will be blessed. I am your Brother who is calling you and who is ready to help you in this life and bring you home to heaven one day.”

Selfless Concern for the Church

Selfless Concern for the Church

Dear Friends,

A reading from St. Paul’s Second Letter to the Corinthians (2 Cor 12:11-21):

I have been foolish. You compelled me, for I ought to have been commended by you. For I am in no way inferior to these “superapostles,” even though I am nothing. The signs of an apostle were performed among you with all endurance, signs and wonders, and mighty deeds. In what way were you less privileged than the rest of the churches, except that on my part I did not burden you? Forgive me this wrong!

Now I am ready to come to you this third time. And I will not be a burden, for I want not what is yours, but you. Children ought not to save for their parents, but parents for their children. I will most gladly spend and be utterly spent for your sakes. If I love you more, am I to be loved less? But granted that I myself did not burden you, yet I was crafty and got the better of you by deceit. Did I take advantage of you through any of those I sent to you? I urged Titus to go and sent the brother with him. Did Titus take advantage of you? Did we not walk in the same spirit? And in the same steps?

Have you been thinking all along that we are defending ourselves before you? In the sight of God we are speaking in Christ, and all for building you up, beloved. For I fear that when I come I may find you not such as I wish, and that you may find me not as you wish; that there may be rivalry, jealousy, fury, selfishness, slander, gossip, conceit, and disorder. I fear that when I come again my God may humiliate me before you, and I may have to mourn over many of those who sinned earlier and have not repented of the impurity, immorality, and licentiousness they practiced.

———————————–

I am always in need of financial help to pay my bills and I have to pay some bills as soon as possible. If any can help me, I would be very thankful indeed.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Redeemer Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words.)

You are all called to love, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters scattered over the countries of the world. What is important is selfless love by which you love all those you meet as if each one was Me, your Savior. Tell them that you love them and show by your actions that indeed you love them. There is too much selfish love today. People love you for what they can get from you. This is not what a follower of mine should do. You should never take advantage of another person for your own ends. If you are in trouble, yes, they will come to help you and this is what every Christian should do. I have told you in the Gospel to help the poor, the sick, the children and the aged. Every person who suffers is identified with Me, Your Brother. So, if you help them, I am the one you are helping. I will bless you and you will receive special gifts from Me. St. Paul did not want to impose on the people he visited. He did not even ask the people for food. He worked hard to have the money to buy what he needed but he was always ready to help the poor and the sick. I bless you and I call you all My friends.”
