The Law did not nullify the Promise

Dear Friends,

A reading from St. Paul’s Letter to the Galatians (Cor 3:15-29):

Brothers, in human terms I say that no one can annul or amend even a human will once ratified. Now the promises were made to Abraham and to his descendant. It does not say, “And to descendants,” as referring to many, but as referring to one, “And to your descendant,” who is Christ. This is what I mean: the law, which came four hundred and thirty years afterward, does not annul a covenant previously ratified by God, so as to cancel the promise. For if the inheritance comes from the law, it is no longer from a promise; but God bestowed it on Abraham through a promise.

Why, then, the law? It was added for transgressions, until the descendant came to whom the promise had been made; it was promulgated by angels at the hand of a mediator. Now there is no mediator when only one party is involved, and God is one. Is the law then opposed to the promises of God? Of course not! For if a law had been given that could bring life, then righteousness would in reality come from the law. But scripture confined all things under the power of sin, that through faith in Jesus Christ the promise might be given to those who believe.

Before faith came, we were held in custody under law, confined for the faith that was to be revealed. Consequently, the law was our disciplinarian  for Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a disciplinarian. For through faith you are all children of God in Christ Jesus. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free person, there is not male and female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendant, heirs according to the promise.

I love you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living on the face of the earth. If you believe in Me then you are part of the promise given to Abraham concerning Me, His descendant. I had been promised from the time of the sin of Adam and Eve, through Abraham and the Prophets. Yes, the Jewish people were called to prepare for My coming. Yes, indeed, some did prepare themselves for My coming. The first to be prepared for Me was My Blessed Mother who said ‘yes’ to the angel when he came to call Her to be My Mother. The Apostles had been prepared and so were others at the time I lived in Israel. However, as many rejected Me, the Apostles were sent to the Gentiles in every country of the world and they received Me through them and believed in Me. All the Gentiles who believe in Me are part of the great promise of the past, which came from My Heavenly Father.

Faith is a wonderful gift and if you ask you will receive this gift. Open your heart then to believe in Me wholeheartedly and you will be blessed. I love you all.”

Announcement of the Birth of Jesus

Dear Friends,

A reading from the Gospel of St. Luke (1:26-38):

In the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town in Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the house of David, and the virgin’s name was Mary. And coming to her, he said, Hail, full of grace! The Lord is with you. But she was greatly troubled at what was said and pondered what sort of greeting this might be. Then the angel said to her, Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give him the throne of David his father, and he will rule over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end. But Mary said to the angel, How can this be, since I have no relations with a man? And the angel said to her in reply, the Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God. And behold, Elizabeth, your relative, has also conceived a son in her old age, and this is the sixth month for her who was called barren; for nothing will be impossible for God. Mary said,Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word. Then the angel departed from her.

I wish to thank all those who send donations during the last days. This will be very helpful indeed to pay the bills in running the Little Shrine of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island. May the Lord bless you all.

(Below you will find the message of Our Blessed Mother given to Father Melvin. Our Lady spoke to him these words.)

I bless you My priest-son Melvin and all My sons and daughters living in every continent of the world. It was Our Heavenly Father who chose Me as the Mother of His Son Jesus. He sent the Archangel Gabriel to announce to Me that I would give birth to Jesus, the Son of God. It would be through the Holy Spirit and by the power of God the Father that I would conceive the child Jesus. The Archangel also told me that my cousin, Elizabeth, had also conceived a son in her old age. At the end I gave My complete ‘yes’ to God to become the Mother of the Messiah, the Savior.

I call you all to believe in My Son Jesus who is the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity. I was chosen so that He could be born with a human nature and live on earth like every human being. It is important to remind ourselves that Jesus also has a divine nature, as He is the Son of God. Accept Him as your Savior and give yourselves totally to Him so He can accomplish in you everything that is necessary. He gave Himself totally for you by His death on the cross, so now offer yourselves completely to Him through love. He wants your salvation so come and cooperate with Him. I bless you My children.

Justification by Faith

Justification by Faith

Dear Friends,

A reading from St. Paul’s letter to the Galatians (3:1-14):

O Galatians! Who has bewitched you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified? I want to learn only this from you: did you receive the Spirit from works of the law, or from faith in what you heard? After beginning with the Spirit, are you now ending with the flesh? Did you experience so many things in vain? – if indeed it was in vain. Does, then, the one who supplies the Spirit to you and works mighty deeds among you do so from works of the law or from faith in what you heard? Thus Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.

Realize then that it is those who have faith who are children of Abraham. Scripture, which saw in advance that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, foretold the good news to Abraham, saying, Through you shall all the nations be blessed. Consequently, those who have faith are blessed along with Abraham who had faith. For all who depend on works of the law are under a curse; for it is written, Cursed be everyone who does not persevere in doing all the things written in the book of the law. And that no one is justified before God by the law is clear, for the one who is righteous by faith will live. But the law does not depend on faith; rather, the one who does these things will live by them. Christ ransomed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written,Cursed be everyone who hangs on a tree, that the blessing of Abraham might be extended to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”

Many people are arriving from the Province of Quebec and it is a joy to see them.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Redeemer given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words.)

I call you My Brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters to have faith in Me. Faith in Me is what will save you. The works of the law, which is what the Jews did, will never save you. If you believe in Me and do all that I told you such as going to church regularly, following the commandments, repent of your sins, loving your Creator, your Savior and the Holy Spirit and loving all your brothers and sisters, I can tell you that one day you will be with Me in paradise.

What is faith? Faith is a gift from God and He is ready to grant this gift to all those who are ready to receive it. It is a very special grace, which the Father wishes to give to every person living in the world. He wants every person to believe in Him as the Creator of heaven and earth and of every thing in the world. Every human being comes from the Father. You have to believe that He is there working ceaselessly so that you will reach your destiny. You are to believe in Me, His Son, who came on earth to save you all. You are also called to believe in the third Person of the Holy Trinity, the Holy Spirit. He is at work in every person who believes and He wants to bring you to holiness. Believe with all your heart and you will be the friend of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. I bless you all.

Father Melvin
