Live by the Spirit

Dear Friends,

A reading from St. Paul’s letter to the Galatians (5:16 – 6:5):

I say, then: live by the Spirit and you will certainly not gratify the desire of the flesh. For the flesh has desires against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; these are opposed to each other, so that you may not do what you want. But if you are guided by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are obvious: immorality, impurity, licentiousness, idolatry, sorcery, hatreds, rivalry, jealousy, outbursts of fury, acts of selfishness, dissensions, factions, occasions of envy, drinking bouts, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God. In contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified their flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also follow the Spirit. Let us not be conceited, provoking one another, envious of one another.

Brothers, even if a person is caught in some transgression, you who are spiritual should correct that one in a gentle spirit, looking to yourself, so that you also may not be tempted. Bear one another’s burdens, and so you will fulfill the law of Christ. For if anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he is deluding himself. Each one must examine his own work, and then he will have reason to boast with regard to himself alone, and not with regard to someone else; for each will bear his own load.

I was at adoration at our parish last evening from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. We were only two for that hour. It rained hard yesterday so the farmers should be happy.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words.)

I fill you with My love, peace and joy My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living in the world. I call you all to open your hearts to Me every day so I can fill it with all the gifts and graces I have for you. May you be filled with the Holy Spirit that He may bring you all the wonderful gifts He has for you. You all need His gifts so come to Me and open your heart and you will be filled with the Holy Spirit every day and He will come with His fruit. He will help you to grow in holiness and to refuse to follow the works of the flesh. Those who follow the evil of the flesh will never gain eternal life. It is those who follow the ways of the Holy Spirit who will be saved. However, if you see someone doing evil, you should gentle speak to that person to change his or her ways. Show that person the ways of the Spirit and if he or she listens to you, then you have won another person for Me. Often it is by speaking personally to a person that he or she will finally follow the right way. Do not worry if he or she rejects what you say but what you have to do is to pray for that person. Indeed, it is very important to pray for those people. I bless you all and I fill you with My love.”

The Importance of Faith

The Importance of Faith

Dear Friends,

A reading from St. Paul’s Letter to the Galatians (5:1-15):

For freedom Christ set us free; so stand firm and do not submit again to the yoke of slavery. It is I, Paul, who am telling you that if you have yourselves circumcised, Christ will be of no benefit to you. Once again I declare to every man who has himself circumcised that he is bound to observe the entire law. You are separated from Christ, you who are trying to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace. For through the Spirit, by faith, we await the hope of righteousness. For in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love. You were running well; who hindered you from following the truth? That enticement does not come from the one who called you. A little yeast leavens the whole batch of dough. I am confident of you in the Lord that you will not take a different view, and that the one who is troubling you will bear the condemnation, whoever he may be. As for me, brothers, if I am still preaching circumcision, why am I still being persecuted? In that case, the stumbling block of the cross has been abolished. Would that those who are upsetting you might also castrate themselves!

For you were called for freedom, brothers. But do not use this freedom as an opportunity for the flesh; rather, serve one another through love. For the whole law is fulfilled in one statement, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” But if you go on biting and devouring one another, beware that you are not consumed by one another.

I have people coming to the Chapel of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island almost every day. They come to pray and to ask for healing prayers.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Redeemer given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words.)

I call you My friend My brother Melvin and you are My friends too My brothers and sisters living in every country of the world. There is no greater freedom than the freedom of the sons and daughters of God. I have brought you out of darkness by My suffering and death on the cross. You are filled with the Holy Spirit, the Third Person of the Holy Trinity. With all these gifts you will be united with Me in peace and love. Do not be afraid to witness to your faith in Me and to speak about all I have done for you. You know that I protect you every day if you call on Me and I will also give you the strength to avoid sin and to do good. Once you have found Me, do not look elsewhere for I am your only Savior. I am the only one who can lead you along the right path and if you follow it you will be with Me in heaven one day. Pray for all those who do not pray or do not believe. If they remain without faith until death, they will not be saved. So pray for them that they may receive the gift of faith and believe in Me with all their heart. I love you, My brothers and sisters, and I am calling you every day to come and follow Me.”

God’s Free Children in Christ

God’s Free Children in Christ

Dear Friends,

A reading from St. Paul’s Letter to the Galatians (4:1-15a):

I mean that as long as the heir is not of age, he is no different from a slave, although he is the owner of everything, but he is under the supervision of guardians and administrators until the date set by his father. In the same way we also, when we were not of age, were enslaved to the elemental powers of the world. But when the fullness of time had come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to ransom those under the law, so that we might receive adoption. As proof that you are children, God sent the spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” So you are no longer a slave but a child, and if a child then also an heir, through God.

At a time when you did not know God, you became slaves to things that by nature are not gods; but now that you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how can you turn back again to the weak and destitute elemental powers? Do you want to be slaves to them all over again? You are observing days, months, seasons, and years. I am afraid on your account that perhaps I have labored for you in vain.

I implore you, brothers, be as I am, because I have also become as you are. You did me no wrong; you know that it was because of a physical illness that I originally preached the gospel to you, and you did not show disdain or contempt because of the trial caused you by my physical condition, but rather you received me as an angel of God, as Christ Jesus. Where now is that blessedness of yours?

——————————

I finished the French retreat yesterday at noon. It went very well and a good group attended. I thank the Lord for all the graces these people received.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Redeemer given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words.)

If you are an active member of My Church then you are blessed indeed My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living in every country of the world. I am the only one who can take you out of slavery to the evil one and bring you to the freedom of the children of God. How many are enslaved to alcohol, to drugs, to sex, to worldly pleasure and to the sects of the evil one in this world! Many are caught in these things and they cannot leave these things. However, if you come to Me, you will be free indeed. You will live with Me and be free from any slavery that exists in the world today. Your freedom will show itself by the love, peace and joy that will reign in your heart. You will be happy to live in union with Me and when you face problems you will come to ask Me to help you and I will be there for you. I have all power and I will use My power to bring you close to Me and to live on My spiritual plain. Remember that I love you and I am always there to help you. I bless you all.”
