Sovereign Role of Christ

Dear Friends,

A reading from St. Paul’s Letter to the Colossians (2:9-23):

For in him (Jesus) dwells the whole fullness of the deity bodily, and you share in this fullness in him, who is the head of every principality and power. In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not administered by hand, by stripping off the carnal body, with the circumcision of Christ. You were buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead. And even when you were dead in transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, he brought you to life along with him, having forgiven us all our transgressions; obliterating the bond against us, with its legal claims, which was opposed to us, he also removed it from our midst, nailing it to the cross; despoiling the principalities and the powers, he made a public spectacle of them, leading them away in triumph by it.

Let no one, then, pass judgment on you in matters of food and drink or with regard to a festival or new moon or sabbath. These are shadows of things to come; the reality belongs to Christ. Let no one disqualify you, delighting in self-abasement and worship of angels, taking his stand on visions, inflated without reason by his fleshly mind, and not holding closely to the head, from whom the whole body, supported and held together by its ligaments and bonds, achieves the growth that comes from God.

If you died with Christ to the elemental powers of the world, why do you submit to regulations as if you were still living in the world? “Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!” These are all things destined to perish with use; they accord with human precepts and teachings. While they have a semblance of wisdom in rigor of devotion and self-abasement and severity to the body, they are of no value against gratification of the flesh. .

I hope to see many people on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. on the Feast of the Assumption of Our Blessed Mother. We will pray the rosary and at 3:00 p.m. the Divine Mercy chaplet.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Redeemer given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words:

I call you all to separate yourselves from the world especially you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who gave your lives to Me. There are so many things in the world today that is in opposition to what the Father wants and many worldly things lead to sin. There are all these horrible movies which no Christian should watch, especially those that promote sexual pleasure, that promote abortion, that teach that homosexuality is good, that living with a partner without marriage is ok, that adultery is not evil and that the main reason for life is to make as much money as possible. So many of these things make a person self-centered and completely opposed to what I taught. All have to forget about themselves and work to help their neighbor especially the poor and those who suffer. The mentality of the world is secular and society plays God. They think they can decide everything even what goes directly against the commandments of God. Do not follow such a mentality but come and follow Me. I bless you all.”

The Canticle of Mary

Dear Friends,

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Luke (1.46-55):

Mary said:
My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord;
my spirit rejoices in God my savior.
For he has looked upon his handmaid’s lowliness;
behold, from now on will all ages call me blessed.
The Mighty One has done great things for me,
and holy is his name.
His mercy is from age to age to those who fear him.
He has thrown down the rulers from their thrones
but lifted up the lowly.
The hungry he has filled with good things;
and the rich he has sent away empty.
He has helped Israel his servant,
remembering his mercy,
according to his promise to our fathers,
to Abraham and to his descendants forever.

Next Wednesday is the Feast of the Assumption of Our Blessed Mother and I invite on that day to the chapel all those who can come to pray the rosary and I will give a talk. It will start at 2:00 p.m.

Below you will find the message of Our Blessed Mother given to Father Melvin. She spoke to him these words:

I bless you My son Melvin and all My sons and daughters living in every country of the world. I am your Mother who loves you and who calls you to believe in My Son Jesus and to pray regularly. When I visited My cousin Elizabeth who was carrying the holy John the Baptist in her womb, many prophetic words were uttered. After that I said My canticle proclaiming the greatest of God. My only desire in the world was to do God’s will. When I was asked to be the Mother of Jesus, I accepted with all My heart. I rejoiced indeed that I was chosen to give birth to the Savior of the world. I predicted that all would call be blessed and this is true. In Jesus’ Church, I am called Blessed by all the believers and I am happy with this title. The greatest gift you received is Jesus, your Savior. Do all that He has told you and continues to tell you. I love you all.”

Thanksgiving

Dear Friends,

A reading from St. Paul’s Letter to the Colossians (1.3-14):

We always give thanks to God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, for we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and the love that you have for all the holy ones because of the hope reserved for you in heaven. Of this you have already heard through the word of truth, the gospel, that has come to you. Just as in the whole world it is bearing fruit and growing, so also among you, from the day you heard it and came to know the grace of God in truth, as you learned it from Epaphras, our beloved fellow slave, who is a trustworthy minister of Christ on you behalf and who also told us of your love in the Spirit.

Therefore, from the day we heard this, we do not cease praying for you and asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding to live in a manner worthy of the Lord, so as to be fully pleasing, in every good work bearing fruit and growing in the knowledge of God, strengthened with every power, in accord with his glorious might, for all endurance and patience, with joy giving thanks to the Father, who has made you fit to share in the inheritance of the holy ones in light. He delivered us from the power of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

It is nice and sunny these days in Prince Edward Island and it is warm enough in the afternoon. It gets cool at night and it is great for sleeping. We should have some rain today and it is true that we did not have rain for a long time. The farmers are worried about their potatoes. I am praying that we will have enough rain so that the potatoes can grow nicely.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Redeemer given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words:

I give thanks to My Heavenly Father for you My brother Melvin and for all My brothers and sisters who follow Me every day. Your faith in Me is what brings Me great joy. Come to prayer every day and your faith will grow every day and you will be blessed.

I call you all to pray for those who do not believe. They live in darkness and are led by the evil one. There is very little love in their hearts and they do not have any peace. They are often confused, greatly stressed and suffering from depression. Their life is meaningless to them. They are looking in the wrong places for what they need. Some go for alcohol, others for drugs, others for sports and others for sex but these cannot satisfy their heart. You know the Father created you with a special emptiness in your heart and that emptiness can only be filled by Me. If you do not believe then it is time for you to come to Me and be filled with My light, My love, My joy and My peace. I am the only One who can give you these wonderful gifts that you crave for. I am waiting for you. I love you all.”
