The Greatest Commandment
Dear friends,
A reading from St. Mark’s Gospel (12:28-34):
One of the scribes, when he came forward and heard them disputing and saw how well he had answered them, asked him, “Which is the first of all the commandments?” Jesus replied, “The first is this: ‘Hear, O Israel! The Lord our God is Lord alone! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” The scribe said to him, “Well said, teacher. You are right in saying, ‘He is One and there is no other than he.’ And ‘to love him with all your heart, with all your understanding, with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself’ is worth more than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.” And when Jesus saw that he answered with understanding, he said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.” And no one dared to ask him any more questions.

It was cold yesterday here in Prince Edward Island. It was only 2 degrees in the morning. However, we had sunshine most of the day and it got a bit warmer. I thank the Lord every day as I feel much better now after my stay in the hospital. When I have enough money to buy heating oil then I will be even happier. It is not nice to live in a frozen house.
Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words:
“I love you My son Melvin and all My sons and daughters living in every country of the world. I am so happy when you return My love and show your love through your actions. Those who pray every day show their love to Me and those who go to Holy Mass every Sunday show their love to Me in a beautiful way. Have courage My friends and do not worry about those who mock you but know that you are following Me, Your Lord and Savior. I gave a scribe one day the first commandments that he should follow. They are simply to love God and to love one’s neighbor. These two commandments go together for you cannot love God if you hate your neighbor. If your neighbor offends you in any way, forgive him and the Father will bless you. You will be filled with the Holy Spirit. Follow already on earth what you will do in heaven. I bless you and fill you with My love.”
