The Coming Persecution

Dear friends,
A reading from St. Mark’s Gospel (13:9-13):
[Jesus said:] “Watch out for yourselves. They will hand you over to the courts. You will be beaten in synagogues. You will be arraigned before governors and kings because of me, as a witness before them. But the gospel must first be preached to all nations. When they lead you away and hand you over, do not worry beforehand about what you are to say. But say whatever will be given to you at that hour. For it will not be you who are speaking but the holy Spirit. Brother will hand over brother to death, and the father his child; children will rise up against parents and have them put to death. You will be hated by all because of my name. But the one who perseveres to the end will be saved.”

           We had a quiet day yesterday, as it was a holiday because Remembrance Day was on Sunday. So we had another day to pray for peace in the world and an end to war. It does not mean that there are no problems in the world. Yes there are plenty and many countries are facing financial problems such as Greece and Spain. The USA is going more and more into debt and I don’t know if they will ever come out of it.
I thank all those who have written to me to tell me that they will send me a donation to help with my financial problems. Thank you very much.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words:
“I hope My words will bring you to your knees My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters spread out in all the countries of the world. I want you on your knees to pray, not to be afraid. Yes persecutions are coming and in fact they are here already. Many people in the world today are suffering because of their faith. They are beaten, some are killed and others have their homes destroyed. All kinds of hateful speech are directed against them. It will get worst as time goes on. Do not be afraid about what people can do to you, but remain in union with Me and you will be saved. Even in America and Europe today there is persecution of believers. The Governments are trying to force them to do things, which is against their conscience. I bless all those who stand up for Me and are not afraid to suffer. I bless you all.”

The Destruction of the Temple Foretold

Dear friends,
A reading from St. Mark’s Gospel (13:1-8):

          As he [Jesus] was making his way out of the temple area one of his disciples said to him, “Look, teacher, what stones and what buildings!” Jesus said to him, “Do you see these great buildings? There will not be one stone left upon another that will not be thrown down.”
As he was sitting on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple area, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked him privately, “Tell us, when will this happen, and what sign will there be when all these things are about to come to an end?” Jesus began to say to them, “See that no one deceives you. Many will come in my name saying, ‘I am he,’ and they will deceive many. When you hear of wars and reports of wars do not be alarmed; such things must happen, but it will not yet be the end. Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes from place to place and there will be famines. These are the beginnings of the labor pains.”

          Yesterday was Remembrance Day where we referred to the end of the two World Wars and prayed for all the people who were killed during these horrible times. Let us pray again that there will never be another world war but instead peace may reign among the nations of the world.

          Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“I call you to attention My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living everywhere on the face of the earth. I wish to remind you that the end of the world is coming and each one of you must prepare for it. As the Temple in Jerusalem was destroyed in the year 70, so the world will be destroyed in the future. There will be wars in the future as nation will rise against nation but the end will not have arrived yet. There will be earthquakes and hurricanes and these will point to the day that the end of the world will arrive. At the end I will return to earth to judge the living and the dead. In fact all the dead will come back to life with body and soul and they will all gather in Jerusalem for the last judgment. All of you will be there. So prepare yourselves so that you will be on My right and not on My left. Those on My right I will bring them with me to heaven, but those on My left will be condemned to hell. Follow Me every day by doing good and avoiding evil and indeed you will be on My right. On that day you will be happy as I bring you home to the glory of heaven. I bless you all.“
