The Birth of Jesus

Dear Friends,
A reading from St. Luke’s Gospel (2:1-7):

In those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that the whole world should be enrolled. This was the first enrollment, when Quirinus was governor of Syria. So all went to be enrolled, each to his own town. And Joseph too went up from Galilee from the town of Nazareth to Judea, to the city of David that is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David, to be enrolled with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child. While they were there, the time came for her to have her child, and she gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

Yesterday we had a major snowstorm. It started in the morning and by the afternoon no one could pass but in the evening the snow changed to rain and this morning most of the snow is gone. I was invited at my neighbors yesterday for a meal to celebrate their wedding anniversary. It was a great joy to be there with them. They have been very close friends of mine.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord born in Bethlehem given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
Rejoice with Me My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who believe in Me as your Savior. It is now time for you to contemplate My birth in Bethlehem in a stable. There was no place in the inn so Joseph and My Mother had to pass the night in the stable and there She gave birth to her firstborn Son. You know what happened on that famous night. The angels came and they sang‘Glory to God in the Highest and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.’ A huge star came down over the stable and lighted up the whole town of Bethlehem and all around saw this light. Angels also went to invite shepherds to come to the place where I was born. Those who witnessed all what happened at My birth could never forget that. I call on all of you to believe that indeed I, the Son of God, the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity, was born as a human being in a stable in Bethlehem and My Heavenly Father gave Me a very special welcome. May My Heavenly Father bless you all.

The Canticle of Zechariah

Dear Friends,
A reading from St. Luke’s Gospel (1:67-80):

Then Zechariah his father, filled with the Holy Spirit, prophesied, saying:
“Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, for he has visited and brought redemption to his people.
He has raised up a horn for our salvation within the house of David his servant,
even as he promised through the mouth of his holy prophets from of old:
salvation from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us,
to show mercy to our fathers and to be mindful of his holy covenant
and of the oath he swore to Abraham our father, and to grant us that,
rescued from the hand of enemies, without fear we might worship him
in holiness and righteousness before him all our days.
And you, child, will be called prophet of the Most High, for you will go before the Lord to prepare his ways,
to give his people knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins,
because of the tender mercy of our God by which the daybreak from on high will visit us
to shine on those who sit in darkness and death’s shadow, to guide our feet into the path of peace.”
The child grew and became strong in spirit, and he was in the desert until the day of his manifestation to Israel.

Again I would like to thank all those who sent me donations to help me buy heating oil for my house. I will need to buy some more in two weeks’ time. So if you can help me I would be very happy indeed. I do not want to leave the Little Shrine of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island for lack of heating oil.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“I bless you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living in every country of the world. We are approaching My great feast day, which is Christmas, the day I was born in Bethlehem. Before My birth the Father had chosen St. John the Baptist to go before Me and to point Me out to the people. St. John’s father was filled with the Holy Spirit at the circumcision of his child and sang a canticle. He blessed the Father who visited His people by sending a Savior to redeem us. All this was foretold by many prophets of the past and now we have another intervention of the Father. He sent John the Baptist into the world as a prophet and he is to prepare for My coming among the people. He is the one who helped Me begin My public life and the one who baptized Me. John called the people to repent of their sins in order to prepare for My coming. I was to come to guide the feet of all the people to the light and to peace. St. John the Baptist did a great work on my behalf. I love him and I love you all too.”

The Birth of John

Dear Friends,
A reading from
St. Luke’s Gospel (1:57-66) :
When the time arrived for Elizabeth to have her child she gave birth to a son. Her neighbors and relatives heard that the Lord had shown his great mercy toward her, and they rejoiced with her. When they came on the eighth day to circumcise the child, they were going to call him Zechariah after his father, but his mother said in reply, “No. He will be called John.” But they answered her, “There is no one among your relatives who has this name.”  So they made signs, asking his father what he wanted him to be called. He asked for a tablet and wrote, “John is his name,” and all were amazed. Immediately his mouth was opened, his tongue freed, and he spoke blessing God. Then fear came upon all their neighbors, and all these matters were discussed throughout the hill country of Judea. All who heard these things took them to heart, saying, “What, then, will this child be?” For surely the hand of the Lord was with him.

We had a great day yesterday for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Our Blessed Mother. We had a sunny day and it was not cold. I celebrated Holy Mass at the Little Shrine of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island and in the afternoon Our Blessed Mother gave me a message, which you will find in the Newsletter for Winter 2013. It will come out at the beginning of January 2013.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“Rejoice My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living in the world today, for the birth of the great St. John the Baptist. Elizabeth, his mother, gave birth to him and after eight days he was circumcised and was given a name. After some discussion he was named John. Then his father who had been mute for nine months began to speak. He told them that the name of the child is John. Various miracles happened at the conception of John the Baptist and at his birth. Indeed he had been chosen by Our Heavenly Father to be My precursor and to baptize Me. He pointed Me out at the Jordan to all those who were present. John did great work and I am very pleased with all he did. He is now with Me in heavenly glory. Be My friends, My brothers and sisters, and obey what I have told you and you, too, will be in heaven one day. I bless you all.”
