The Boy Jesus in the Temple

Dear Friends,
A reading from St. Luke’s Gospel (2:41-52):

Each year his parents went to Jerusalem for the feast of Passover, and when he was twelve years old, they went up according to festival custom. After they had completed its days, as they were returning, the boy Jesus remained behind in Jerusalem, but his parents did not know it. Thinking that he was in the caravan, they journeyed for a day and looked for him among their relatives and acquaintances, but not finding him, they returned to Jerusalem to look for him.
After three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions, and all who heard him were astounded at his understanding and his answers. When his parents saw him, they were astonished, and his mother said to him, “Son, why have you done this to us? Your father and I have been looking for you with great anxiety.”
And he said to them, “Why were you looking for me? Did you not know that I must be in my Father’s house?” But they did not understand what he said to them.
He went down with them and came to Nazareth, and was obedient to them; and his mother kept all these things in her heart. And Jesus advanced in wisdom and age and favor before God and man.

Today December 14th is the anniversary of Our Blessed Mother first apparition to me in the year 2000. She came while I was praying and She revealed to me that She was Our Lady of Prince Edward Island and every year on this day She comes to visit me. I expect Her visit today.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
Rejoice My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who have a close relationship with Me. You will understand why I stayed behind when My parents left Jerusalem to return to Nazareth. After a day they could not find me among our group so they returned to Jerusalem to look for Me. After three days they found Me in the temple with the teachers. My parents had to be reminded that I was not just another boy among many but I was the Son of God sent by My Father to be the Savior (the Messiah) of the world. My Mother, however, kept all what happened in Her heart and She contemplated all this. This was My first visit to the temple, not counting My first visit as a baby, and I went to the temple every year with My parents. The temple is where My Father is present in a very special way and I was very happy to be in this holy place. I bless you all.

The Presentation in the Temple

Dear Friends,
A reading from St. Luke’s Gospel (2:21-32):

When eight days were completed for his circumcision, he was named Jesus, the name given him by the angel before he was conceived in the womb.
When the days were completed for their purification according to the law of Moses, they took him up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord, just as it is written in the law of the Lord, “Every male that opens the womb shall be consecrated to the Lord,” and to offer the sacrifice of “a pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons,” in accordance with the dictate in the law of the Lord.
Now there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon. This man was righteous and devout, awaiting the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he should not see death before he had seen the Messiah of the Lord. He came in the Spirit into the temple; and when the parents brought in the child Jesus to perform the custom of the law in regard to him, he took him into his arms and blessed God, saying:
“Now, Master, you may let your servant go in peace, according to your word, for my eyes have seen your salvation, which you prepared in sight of all the peoples, a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and glory for your people Israel.”

I celebrated Holy Mass yesterday in honor of Our Lady of Guadalupe and I asked Her to pray for the conversion of all non-believers and to increase the faith of Bishops and priests of the Church. May She ask Jesus to bless all believers and to give them the graces they need.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“I bless you and consecrate you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who follow Me in the world. My parents took Me to the temple to consecrate Me to the Father according to the Law. At the temple there was a man present called Simeon who was a saintly man awaiting my arrival in the world. He took Me in his arms and blessed Me. He was happy that he had seen Me, the Messiah and the Savior of the world. What this man said is the truth and he was revealing Me to the people in the temple and he also touched My parents.
“Take to heart, My friends, at what Simeon said about Me. I came into this world to be your Savior. I was sent by My Heavenly Father to teach you and offer Myself to Him to atone for your sins and to win for you all the graces you need to reach heaven. I love you and I bless you.”

The Visit of the Shepherds

The Visit of the Shepherds

Dear Friends,
A reading from St. Luke’s Gospel (2:8-20):

Now there were shepherds in that region living in the fields and keeping the night watch over their flock. The angel of the Lord appeared to them and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were struck with great fear. The angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For today in the city of David a savior has been born for you who is Messiah and Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find an infant wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger.” And suddenly there was a multitude of the heavenly host with the angel, praising God and saying: “Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
When the angels went away from them to heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let us go, then, to Bethlehem to see this thing that has taken place, which the Lord has made known to us.” So they went in haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the infant lying in the manger. When they saw this, they made known the message that had been told them about this child. All who heard it were amazed by what had been told them by the shepherds. And Mary kept all these things, reflecting on them in her heart. Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, just as it had been told to them.

We had a mostly cloudy day yesterday but the sun came out in the evening and most of the snow is gone. Today is the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
Rejoice and rejoice again My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters spread throughout the world. I was born in Bethlehem and the angels went to the shepherds in the nearly fields to tell them about My birth and to invite them to come and see Me in the stable. They came in haste and found in the stable My Mother and My foster father together with Me as an infant lying in a manger. They were full of joy to see Me and they glorified My Father for all that had taken place.
My friends prepare yourselves for My great Feast of Christmas. I want you to contemplate the scene in the fields with the shepherds and the angels appearing to them. All this shows that My birth in the world was a great event made special by My Heavenly Father. I bless you all.
