Is John the Baptist the Messiah?

Dear Friends,
A reading from St. Luke’s Gospel (3:15-20):

Now the people were filled with expectation, and all were asking in their hearts whether John might be the Messiah. John answered them all, saying, “I am baptizing you with water, but one mightier than I is coming. I am not worthy to loosen the thongs of his sandals. He will baptize you with the holy Spirit and fire. His winnowing fan is in his hand to clear his threshing floor and to gather the wheat into his barn, but the chaff he will burn with unquenchable fire.” Exhorting them in many other ways, he preached good news to the people. Now Herod the tetrarch, who had been censured by him because of Herodias, his brother’s wife, and because of all the evil deeds Herod had committed, added still another to these by also putting John in prison.

Our Lord wants me to begin the Families for Jesus in January 2013. I will start a meeting at Our Lady of Prince Edward Island’s chapel with the group that will come and we will begin by praying the rosary, then we will read a passage from the Bible and all will be free to share on these words. At the end we will voice our petitions to the Lord. We will meet every week.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord who is the Messiah given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
Rejoice My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living in every part of the world. My feast is fast approaching and next week you will celebrate it. You know that the one who prepared the people for My public life was St. John the Baptist. He baptized many people but at one time the people were asking if John was the Messiah. He was very clear by telling them that he was not the Messiah. I am the Messiah sent to earth by My Heavenly Father. I was to come with the baptism of the Holy Spirit and with fire. This happened at Pentecost when the Holy Spirit came upon the Apostles and all those present in the upper room. They saw the tongues of fire on their heads. John the Baptist prepared the people by asking them to repent of their sins and to wait for My arrival. Yes, I came to John the Baptist at the Jordan and he baptized Me and introduced Me to the people. You should take to heart the words of John and receive Me in your heart as your Savior. I bless you all.

The Preaching of John the Baptist (continued)

Dear Friends,
A reading from St. Luke’s Gospel (3:7-14):

[
John the Baptist] said to the crowds who came out to be baptized by him, “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? Produce good fruits as evidence of your repentance; and do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father,‘ for I tell you, God can raise up children to Abraham from these stones. Even now the ax lies at the root of the trees. Therefore every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.”
And the crowds asked him, “What then should we do?” He said to them in reply, “Whoever has two cloaks should share with the person who has none. And whoever has food should do likewise.” Even tax collectors came to be baptized and they said to him, “Teacher, what should we do?” He answered them, “Stop collecting more than what is prescribed.” Soldiers also asked him, “And what is it that we should do?” He told them, “Do not practice extortion, do not falsely accuse anyone, and be satisfied with your wages.”

We have arrived at the Third Sunday of Advent and next week we will celebrate the Feast of Christmas. There is only a short time now to prepare our souls for this great Feast. Let us repent of all our sins and listen to St. John the Baptist as he prepared the Jewish people for the coming of Our Savior Jesus Christ.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“Repent My dear brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters for the great day that is coming. St. John the Baptist told the people that came to him for baptism that they should help the poor; those who are collecting money should only collect what they were asked and soldiers should never accused others falsely. This is what each one of you should do to live as good Christians and to follow Me. Be happy and full of joy as you approach My great Feast of Christmas and do not be full of pride. Be humble My friends and you will receive many gifts from Me. I love you and remember that I came into the world for each of you to save you. I send My blessings upon you all.”

The Preaching of John the Baptist

Dear Friends,
A reading from St. Luke’s Gospel (3:1-6):

In the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, when Pontius Pilate was governor of Judea, and Herod was tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of the region of Ituraea and Trachonitis, and Lysanias was tetrarch of Abilene, during the high priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas, the word of God came to John the son of Zechariah in the desert. He went throughout the whole region of the Jordan, proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins, as it is written in the book of the words of the prophet Isaiah:
“A voice of one crying out in the desert: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord, make straight his paths. Every valley shall be filled and every mountain and hill shall be made low. The winding roads shall be made straight, and the rough ways made smooth, and all flesh shall see the salvation of God.'”

We were supposed to have a lot of snow yesterday but we got just a sprinkling and the sun came out in the afternoon. Yesterday was also the day of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island. She did not come to visit me during the day yesterday but She came in the evening about 7:30 p.m. You will read Her message in the Newsletter, which I will put out during the first week of January 2013.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
I fill you with My love My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who are preparing for My Birthday at Christmas. One great man who went before Me to announce My coming was St. John the Baptist. He traveled through many places in Judea telling the people to come to him for the baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of their sins. He told them that they needed to prepare for the coming of the Messiah, the Savior, as He was very near. Many people followed John the Baptist and went to the Jordan River to be baptized.
So, My brothers and sisters, I call you all like St. John the Baptist, to prepare yourselves for My great Feast. Repent of all your sins and offer yourselves completely to Me to follow all that I have taught you as you can find in the Gospels. I want you all My friends to be people of great faith and people of prayer. Come to Me and I will help you with many graces. I love you all.
