The Parable of the Good Samaritan

Dear Friends,
A reading from St. Luke’s Gospel (10:29-37):

But because
[the scholar of the law] wished to justify himself, he said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?” Jesus replied, “A man fell victim to robbers as he went down from Jerusalem to Jericho. They stripped and beat him and went off leaving him half-dead. A priest happened to be going down that road, but when he saw him, he passed by on the opposite side. Likewise a Levite came to the place, and when he saw him, he passed by on the opposite side.
“But a Samaritan traveler who came upon him was moved with compassion at the sight. He approached the victim, poured oil and wine over his wounds and bandaged them. Then he lifted him up on his own animal, took him to an inn and cared for him. The next day he took out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper with the instruction, ‘Take care of him. If you spend more than what I have given you, I shall repay you on my way back.’ Which of these three, in your opinion, was neighbor to the robbers’ victim?” He answered, “The one who treated him with mercy.” Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.”

We had a beautiful sunny day yesterday and it was mild. A lot of snow melted around the house and on the roads. I thank the Lord for this great day and I hope we will have many more.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“Love one another My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who believe in Me and follow Me. I taught this scholar of the law what it means to be a neighbor. When a person is injured, sick or depressed, you need to be there to help that person. Do not do like the priest and the Levite who passed by on the other side of the road when this man was lying there half dead. You have to help all those in need. Do all that you can to treat that poor person.
“Remember that when you help one person who is in need, you are helping Me. If you refuse to help that person, then you refuse to help Me. All My followers need to be kind and ready to care for each one of his or her neighbor. People will come and help you when one day you are in need. I bless you all.”

Return of the Seventy-two

Dear Friends,
A reading from St. Luke’s Gospel (
10:17- 22):
The seventy-two returned rejoicing, and said, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us because of your name.” Jesus said, “I have observed Satan fall like lightning from the sky. Behold, I have given you the power ‘to tread upon serpents’ and scorpions and upon the full force of the enemy and nothing will harm you. Nevertheless, do not rejoice because the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”
At that very moment he rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said, “I give you praise, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to the childlike. Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will. All things have been handed over to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him.”

Almost every day people write to me from different countries of the world to enter the members of their families, their relatives or their friends in the Book of Remembrance. I am praying every day for these people inscribed by praying a rosary for them, by offering Holy Masses for them three times a week for a whole year. All you need to pay is $15.00 for each person. The easiest way to send the money is via PayPal, which you will find on the website of ourladyofpei.com.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“All My workers are blessed especially you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living in every country of the world. See how the seventy-two disciples were happy after they had worked for Me. They were so pleased that they had power over Satan and the evil spirits. However, if you work for Me, rejoice that one day you will be with Me in heaven.
“It was My heavenly Father you sent me into the world to make Him known. All those who believe in Me will come to know the Father and the great love He has for each one of you. He is the Creator who made everything in the world for you, My brothers and sisters, because He cares for you and He wants that you acknowledge Him and worship Him. So come and love Your Heavenly Father and He will bless you in a very special way. I love you all.”

The Mission of the Seventy-two

Dear Friends,
A reading from St. Luke’s Gospel (
10:1-12):
After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others whom he sent ahead of him in pairs to every town and place he intended to visit. He said to them,
“The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest. Go on your way; behold, I am sending you like lambs among wolves. Carry no money bag, no sack, no sandals; and greet no one along the way. Into whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace to this household.’If a peaceful person lives there, your peace will rest on him; but if not, it will return to you. Stay in the same house and eat and drink what is offered to you, for the laborer deserves his payment. Do not move about from one house to another. Whatever town you enter and they welcome you, eat what is set before you, cure the sick in it and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God is at hand for you.’ Whatever town you enter and they do not receive you, go out into the streets and say, ‘The dust of your town that clings to our feet, even that we shake off against you.’ Yet know this: the kingdom of God is at hand. I tell you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom on that day than for that town.”

Again I wish to thank all those who have sent donations to Our Lady of Prince Edward Island. Please continue to pray that what Our Lady promised will come soon.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“I continue to call you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters scattered all over the earth. I want you all to offer yourselves to Me as My disciples. You will be sent to various towns and villages and even to other countries of the world to bring My message to them. I will give you great power to heal the sick and to drive away the evil spirits who have taken hold of many people who do not know about Me. You are the ones who are to make Me known to these people and to show them the way they should follow. Wherever you go I will be with you to guide you and to lead you.
“You need to be helped by My Church and you are to belong to some organization. It is the Church who will teach you all that you should know. Do not be afraid to suffer at times or to be rejected by some of the people. However, there will always be some who will accept you and believe My teachings that you will bring to them. Do not hate anyone but pardon all those who oppose you or reject you. This is what they did to me when I was on earth. I want every person in the world to come and know Me. I bless you all.”
