Temptations to Sin

Temptations to Sin

Dear Friends,
A reading from St. Luke’s Gospel (17:1-6):

[Jesus] said to his disciples, “Things that cause sin will inevitably occur, but woe to the person through whom they occur. It would be better for him if a millstone were put around his neck and he be thrown into the sea than for him to cause one of these little ones to sin. Be on your guard! If your brother sins, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. And if he wrongs you seven times in one day and returns to you seven times saying, ‘I am sorry,’ you should forgive him.”
And the apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.” The Lord replied, “If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you would say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.”

Again I thank all those who write to me and send donations to help me buy heating oil and pay my bills. I see that my tank is going empty so I will need more oil soon. I also thank those who put cash in their envelope so I can use this money as soon as I get it. Otherwise if you send a cheque it will take two weeks before I am able to use this money. May the Lord bless you all.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“Be always ready to forgive My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who desire to follow Me every day. You should be ready to forgive every time one who has offended you says that he is sorry for what he did. You should forgive with all your heart and never dwell on what this person has done. He is your brother or your sister and you are to love him or her.
“Pray too for an increase of faith. There are many whose faith is weak and others are full of doubts. Come to Me with an open heart and ask that your faith may become strong and you will never doubt any of the truths I gave you. I cannot speak anything else but the truth. If you have great faith in Me, then you will walk with Me every day and you will be filled with My love, peace and joy. Come and live in union with Me. Pray too for those who do not have faith that they may receive this great gift. I bless you all.”

The Parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus

The Parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus

Dear Friends,
A reading from St. Luke’s Gospel (16:19-31):
“There was a rich man who dressed in purple garments and fine linen and dined sumptuously each day. And lying at his door was a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores, who would gladly have eaten his fill of the scraps that fell from the rich man’s table. Dogs even used to come and lick his sores. When the poor man died, he was carried away by angels to the bosom of Abraham. The rich man also died and was buried, and from the netherworld, where he was in torment, he raised his eyes and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus at his side. And he cried out, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me. Send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am suffering torment in these flames.’ Abraham replied, ‘My child, remember that you received what was good during your lifetime while Lazarus likewise received what was bad; but now he is comforted here, whereas you are tormented. Moreover, between us and you a great chasm is established to prevent anyone from crossing who might wish to go from our side to yours or from your side to ours.’ He said, ‘Then I beg you, father, send him to my father’s house, for I have five brothers, so that he may warn them, lest they too come to this place of torment.’ But Abraham replied, ‘They have Moses and the prophets. Let them listen to them.’ He said, ‘Oh no, father Abraham, but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’ Then Abraham said, ‘If they will not listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded if someone should rise from the dead.'”

It is extremely cold here these days. It is nearly minus 20 degrees Celsius.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“Remain close to Me My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living in every country of the world. There are rich people in the world and they rely on their money and forget all about Me. They dress superbly and eat excellently but they do not care about the poor who are suffering from sickness and are starving. One day both the poor and the rich will die and the poor people will be taken to heaven while the rich who are full of pride will go down to hell. What is important My dear friends is that you follow Me while you are on earth. You are to love all your brothers and sisters and to help the poor and the sick. Be active Christians who pray regularly and go to church at least every Sunday. If you practice what I have told you, then indeed you will be with Me one day in heaven. You will enjoy everlasting happiness. Ask Me every day for the graces you need to follow Me. I bless you all.”

The Parable of the Lost Son (2)

Dear Friends,
A reading from St. Luke’s Gospel (15:25-32):

[Jesus said:]
“Now the older son had been out in the field and, on his way back, as he neared the house, he heard the sound of music and dancing. He called one of the servants and asked what this might mean. The servant said to him, ‘Your brother has returned and your father has slaughtered the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound.’ He became angry, and when he refused to enter the house, his father came out and pleaded with him. He said to his father in reply, ‘Look, all these years I served you and not once did I disobey your orders; yet you never gave me even a young goat to feast on with my friends. But when your son returns who swallowed up your property with prostitutes, for him you slaughter the fattened calf.’ He said to him, ‘My son, you are here with me always; everything I have is yours. But now we must celebrate and rejoice, because your brother was dead and has come to life again; he was lost and has been found.’

————————————————-

I thank you all, my friends, who have supported me during this winter. So far I have enough money to buy heating oil and I was able to pay most of my bills. I still have some to pay yet. I am praying for you all that the Lord keeps you in good health and that He fills you with His love, peace and joy.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“I call you all to love especially you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who meet people every day. You know that envy is a sin and destroys the love you have in your heart. This is what we see in the Parable of the Lost Son. The brother is angry and full of envy because of what his father has done. He has welcomed the other son with music and dancing and he has killed the fattened calf. The son who was always at home thinks that his father did not show much love to him. Never was he given even a young goat to feast with his friends. This is often what we see when a sinner returns to the Church and to Me. Those who knew this sinner may not be happy to see him at Church with them. They might object to see him going to Holy Communion and call him a sinner. Yet a man can repent of his sins and if he does I will forgive him and call him to return to church and to receive the sacraments. All Christians should be happy to see such a person converted. Pray My dear friends for the conversion of those who live far from Me. I bless you all.”
