The Lament for Jerusalem

Dear Friends,
A reading from St. Luke’s Gospel (
19:41-48):
As [Jesus] drew near, he saw the city and wept over it, saying, “If this day you only knew what makes for peace – but now it is hidden from your eyes. For the days are coming upon you when your enemies will raise a palisade against you; they will encircle you and hem you in on all sides. They will smash you to the ground and your children within you, and they will not leave one stone upon another within you because you did not recognize the time of your visitation.”
Then Jesus entered the temple area and proceeded to drive out those who were selling things, saying to them, “It is written,‘My house shall be a house of prayer, but you have made it a den of thieves.’” And every day he was teaching in the temple area. The chief priests, the scribes, and the leaders of the people, meanwhile, were seeking to put him to death, but they could find no way to accomplish their purpose because all the people were hanging on his words.

Yesterday we had freezing rain and today it is raining. The temperature now is 7 degrees above the freezing point. There will be hardly any snow left by this evening.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“I bless you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who live in close union with Me. We all have times of sadness in our lives. I suffered great sadness when I was riding on a colt and making My great entrance into Jerusalem. When I saw the holy city, I began to cry because I knew what would happen to this great city after I died on the cross. The temple would be destroyed and all the houses would be torn down. Jerusalem will become a ghost city and nobody will live there. This is because the people there did not welcome Me as their Savior. After that I entered the Temple and chased away all those who were selling inside. This house of God was the greatest house of prayer in all Israel and the people had made it a den of thieves.
“I call you My brothers and sisters to show great respect for your houses of prayer, your parish churches. You know that I live in your churches because the Eucharist is kept there. The church is not the place to talk and laugh but the place to pray and be recollected. In this way you will show your love for Me. I am your Savior who cares for you.”

The Entry into Jerusalem

The Entry into Jerusalem

Dear Friends,
A reading from St. Luke’s Gospel (
19:28-40):
After [Jesus] had said this, he proceeded on his journey up to Jerusalem. As he drew near to Bethphage and Bethany at the place called the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples. He said, “Go into the village opposite you, and as you enter it you will find a colt tethered on which no one has ever sat. Untie it and bring it here. And if anyone should ask you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ you will answer, ‘The Master has need of it.’” So those who had been sent went off and found everything just as he had told them. And as they were untying the colt, its owners said to them, “Why are you untying this colt?” They answered, “The Master has need of it.” So they brought it to Jesus, threw their cloaks over the colt, and helped Jesus to mount.
As he rode along, the people were spreading their cloaks on the road; and now as he was approaching the slope of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of his disciples began to praise God aloud with joy for all the mighty deeds they had seen. They proclaimed: “Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord. Peace in heaven and glory in the highest.”
Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples.” He said in reply, “I tell you, if they keep silent, the stones will cry out!”

It is getting warmer and I thank the Lord. We should have some rain today.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“I bless you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who believe in Me and have offered their lives to Me. You know that I am the Son of God, the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity. I have all power but I did not use My power at the end. Instead, I decided to give Myself completely to these people who wanted to kill Me. I accepted to suffer all the horrible treatment they gave Me and at the end to be crucified on the cross and finally to die for all of you. My death on the cross shows My love for each one of you. I want to save you all. So I call you today to accept Me as your Savior and to begin a new life in union with Me. You will be blessed and you will receive My peace, love and joy, which I give to all My friends. I love you all.”

Zacchaeus the Tax Collector

Zacchaeus the Tax Collector

Dear Friends,
A reading from St. Luke’s Gospel (
19:1-10):
[Jesus] came to Jericho and intended to pass through the town. Now a man there named Zacchaeus, who was a chief tax collector and also a wealthy man, was seeking to see who Jesus was; but he could not see him because of the crowd, for he was short in stature. So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore tree in order to see Jesus, who was about to pass that way. When he reached the place, Jesus looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, come down quickly, for today I must stay at your house.” And he came down quickly and received him with joy.
When they all saw this, they began to grumble, saying, “He has gone to stay at the house of a sinner.” But Zacchaeus stood there and said to the Lord, “Behold, half of my possessions, Lord, I shall give to the poor, and if I have extorted anything from anyone I shall repay it four times over.” And Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house because this man too is a descendant of Abraham. For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save what was lost.”

It is getting warmer here in Prince Edward Island and by Wednesday it should be 7 degrees over zero. Thank you Lord.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, The Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
I came into the world to save you all especially you My Brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living in the world. See what happened to Zacchaeus when I went to stay at his house one night. He was converted and he repented of all the wrong he had done. I accepted him as a follower of mine when I said that salvation had come to this house.
“I want the conversion of all the people of the world. I send out many graces to all the people hoping that they will open their hearts to receive these graces and their whole life will change. They will come to accept Me as their Savior and leave their dark ways behind. Come My brothers and sisters and listen to My words. Believe in Me and follow Me and you will be united with Me forever. I love you all.”
