Appearance to the Disciples

Dear Friends,
A reading from St. Luke’s Gospel (
24, 36 – 49):
While [the disciples] were still speaking about this, [Jesus] stood in their midst and said to them, “Peace be with you.” But they were startled and terrified and thought that they were seeing a ghost. Then he said to them, “Why are you troubled? And why do questions arise in your hearts? Look at my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Touch me and see, because a ghost does not have flesh and bones as you can see I have.” And as he said this, he showed them his hands and his feet. While they were still incredulous for joy and were amazed, he asked them, “Have you anything here to eat?” They gave him a piece of baked fish; he took it and ate it in front of them. He said to them, “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the law of Moses and in the prophets and psalms must be fulfilled.” Then he opened their minds to understand the scriptures. And he said to them, “Thus it is written that the Messiah would suffer and rise from the dead on the third day and that repentance, for the forgiveness of sins, would be preached in his name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things. And behold I am sending the promise of my Father upon you; but stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.”

This coming Friday, March 1, is the First Friday of the month of March and I will have a Healing Service at the chapel of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island at 7:30 p.m. with the rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“Come to Me My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living today and believe in My resurrection. It was on Easter Sunday in the evening that I appeared in Jerusalem to the Apostles and those gathered in the Upper Room. At the beginning they were filled with fear as they thought they were seeing a ghost. I showed them My hands and My feet and I told them to touch Me as I was not a ghost. It took time but at last they believe it was I raised from the dead. They were being filled with joy. I ate a piece of fish in their midst to show that I was truly the Jesus they knew.
“My dear friends I want you too to believe like the Apostles. They are your witnesses who believed with all their hearts that I was raised from the dead. I am alive today as I was on Easter Sunday and I will never die again. I am your Savior, your King and the Son of God who is working for you to bring you all with Me to heaven. Come My dear brothers and sisters and give yourselves totally to Me and I will take care of you. I bless you all.”

Jesus on the Road to Emmaus

Jesus on the Road to Emmaus

Dear Friends,
A reading from St. Luke’s Gospel (
24:25-35):
[Jesus] said to [the men on the road], “Oh, how foolish you are! How slow of heart to believe all that the prophets spoke! Was it not necessary that the Messiah should suffer these things and enter into his glory?” Then beginning with Moses and all the prophets, he interpreted to them what referred to him in all the scriptures. As they approached the village to which they were going, he gave the impression that he was going on farther. But they urged him, “Stay with us, for it is nearly evening and the day is almost over.” So he went in to stay with them.
And it happened that, while he was with them at table, he took bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to them. With that their eyes were opened and they recognized him, but he vanished from their sight. Then they said to each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us while he spoke to us on the way and opened the scriptures to us?” So they set out at once and returned to Jerusalem where they found gathered together the eleven and those with them who were saying, “The Lord has truly been raised and has appeared to Simon!” Then the two recounted what had taken place on the way and how he was made known to them in the breaking of the bread.

I thank the Lord that soon I will celebrate another birthday. The date is March 2nd. Please pray that the Lord gives me a special blessing on that day.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“Have faith in Me My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living in the world today. As the two men were on the way to Emmaus, I joined them but they did not recognize Me. As they did not believe in My resurrection, I explained to them what was written about Me in the scriptures. At the end when we were at table eating, I gave them the bread I had blessed and then their eyes were opened and they recognized Me. I then disappeared from their sight. Now they believed in Me with all their hearts and quickly they returned to Jerusalem to tell the Apostles and others what they had experienced.
“My dear friends, this true story is given to you to help you too to believe in My resurrection. I am now the Resurrected Jesus who will never suffer again and I will never die again. Come believe in Me with all your heart for indeed I am your Savior, the Son of God, who was sent by the Father to save you. You need to believe in Me if you want to be saved. Open your hearts and I will fill them with My love, peace and joy and give you all the graces you need. I love you all.”

The Coming of the Spirit

The Coming of the Spirit

Dear Friends,
A reading from
the Acts of the Apostles (1:13-14, 2:1-13):
When they entered the city they went to the upper room where they were staying, Peter and John and James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James son of Alphaeus, Simon the Zealot, and Judas son of James. All these devoted themselves with one accord to prayer, together with some women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers
[…]
When the time for Pentecost was fulfilled, they were all in one place together. And suddenly there came from the sky a noise like a strong driving wind, and it filled the entire house in which they were. Then there appeared to them tongues as of fire, which parted and came to rest on each one of them. And they were all filled with the holy Spirit and began to speak in different tongues, as the Spirit enabled them to proclaim.
Now there were devout Jews from every nation under heaven staying in Jerusalem. At this sound, they gathered in a large crowd, but they were confused because each one heard them speaking in his own language. They were astounded, and in amazement they asked, “Are not all these people who are speaking Galileans? Then how does each of us hear them in his own native language? We are Parthians, Medes, and Elamites, inhabitants of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the districts of Libya near Cyrene, as well as travelers from Rome, both Jews and converts to Judaism, Cretans and Arabs, yet we hear them speaking in our own tongues of the mighty acts of God.” They were all astounded and bewildered, and said to one another, “What does this mean?” But others said, scoffing, “They have had too much new wine.”

The snowstorm is over and today we will have sunshine. We will have a good few days of beautiful weather. Let us all pray to the Lord to bless Pope Benedict XVI who will leave the papacy on February 28th and let us pray to the Holy Spirit to enlighten the Cardinals in their choice of a new Pope.

Below you will find the message of Our Blessed Mother given to Father Melvin. She spoke to him these words,
“Be filled with the Holy Spirit My son Melvin and all My sons and daughters who call themselves Christians. It was the Father with His Son Jesus who sent the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and upon the women gathered in the upper room in Jerusalem. I was present in that place when the Holy Spirit descended on all those present in the room. The Sacrament of Confirmation derives from this great event of Pentecost. Every Christian must receive the Holy Spirit in order to have the strength, the courage and the graces needed to live the new life in Christ Jesus.
“My Son had to ascend to heaven before the Holy Spirit could come on the Apostles and on all those who believe in Jesus as their Savior. What a change happened to the Apostles once they received the Holy Spirit. Before His coming, they locked themselves in the upper room, as they were afraid of the Jews. After the coming of the Holy Spirit, they opened the doors and Peter went outside to preach to the people gathered there. He had no more fear. All the Apostles were truly enlightened to begin the Church founded by My Son Jesus. Be thankful that the Holy Spirit has come upon the world. I bless you all.”
