Christian Restraint

Dear Friends,
A reading from the First Letter of St. Peter (
4:1-11):
Therefore, since Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same attitude for whoever suffers in the flesh has broken with sin, so as not to spend what remains of one’s life in the flesh on human desires, but on the will of God. For the time that has passed is sufficient for doing what the Gentiles like to do: living in debauchery, evil desires, drunkenness, orgies, carousing, and wanton idolatry. They are surprised that you do not plunge into the same swamp of profligacy, and they vilify you; but they will give an account to him who stands ready to judge the living and the dead. For this is why the gospel was preached even to the dead that, though condemned in the flesh in human estimation, they might live in the spirit in the estimation of God.
The end of all things is at hand. Therefore, be serious and sober for prayers. Above all, let your love for one another be intense, because love covers a multitude of sins. Be hospitable to one another without complaining. As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace. Whoever preaches, let it be with the words of God; whoever serves, let it be with the strength that God supplies, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

I ask you all to continue to pray for my situation so that soon there will be a solution. I thank all those who sent donations and who are praying every day for the work of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“Do not let the secular world take hold of you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who have committed your life to Me. You only have to see how those who do not believe behave these days. They follow their evil desires by stealing money, taking drugs, committing suicide, drinking alcohol to excess, going to orgies, committing fornication and homosexual acts and believing all kinds of nonsense. You who are Christians are not to indulge in any of that for these are all very sinful. Instead be Christian men and women of prayer who love all your neighbors as brothers and sisters. Help one another in many ways. Follow Me who came to serve and not to be served. If you follow the way I showed you then indeed you will be with Me one day in heaven. I love you all.”

Christian Suffering

Dear Friends,
A reading from the First Letter of St. Peter (
3:13-22):
Now who is going to harm you if you are enthusiastic for what is good? But even if you should suffer because of righteousness, blessed are you. Do not be afraid or terrified with fear of them, but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts. Always be ready to give an explanation to anyone who asks you for a reason for your hope, but do it with gentleness and reverence, keeping your conscience clear, so that, when you are maligned, those who defame your good conduct in Christ may themselves be put to shame. For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that be the will of God, than for doing evil.
For Christ also suffered for sins once, the righteous for the sake of the unrighteous, that he might lead you to God. Put to death in the flesh, he was brought to life in the spirit. In it he also went to preach to the spirits in prison, who had once been disobedient while God patiently waited in the days of Noah during the building of the ark, in which a few persons, eight in all, were saved through water. This prefigured baptism, which saves you now. It is not a removal of dirt from the body but an appeal to God for a clear conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, with angels, authorities, and powers subject to him.

I am praying these days for the cardinals gathered in Rome for the election of a new pope. I am praying that the Holy Spirit inspires them to choose the one that God Himself wants. In a few weeks we will have a new successor of St. Peter.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“I want you to do good every day My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who are baptized and believe in Me with all your heart. Indeed there are plenty of Christians that are suffering at the hands of others even if they have not done any wrong. There are members of other religions or other denominations who hate you and are plotting at times how they can capture you and kill you. Do not worry about these people because if you suffer even though you have not done wrong, then you are imitating Me who was killed although I never committed sin and never taught false doctrine. Every year there are thousands of Christians who are martyred in the world for the only reason that they are following Me. I call upon you all to pray for these people who oppose you and never hate them. I prayed while on the cross for those who put Me to death. I bless you all.”

Christian Spouses

Christian Spouses

Dear Friends,
A reading from the First Letter of St. Peter (
3:1-12):
Likewise, you wives should be subordinate to your husbands so that, even if some disobey the word, they may be won over without a word by their wives’ conduct when they observe your reverent and chaste behavior. Your adornment should not be an external one: braiding the hair, wearing gold jewelry, or dressing in fine clothes, but rather the hidden character of the heart, expressed in the imperishable beauty of a gentle and calm disposition, which is precious in the sight of God. For this is also how the holy women who hoped in God once used to adorn themselves and were subordinate to their husbands; thus Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him “lord.” You are her children when you do what is good and fear no intimidation.
Likewise, you husbands should live with your wives in understanding, showing honor to the weaker female sex, since we are joint heirs of the gift of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered.
Finally, all of you, be of one mind, sympathetic, loving toward one another, compassionate, humble. Do not return evil for evil, or insult for insult; but, on the contrary, a blessing, because to this you were called, that you might inherit a blessing. For: “Whoever would love life and see good days must keep the tongue from evil and the lips from speaking deceit, must turn from evil and do good, seek peace and follow after it. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears turned to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against evildoers.”

————————————————-

Again I thank all those who phoned me yesterday and today to wish me a happy birthday. I also thank all those who sent me e-mail to greet me. May the Lord thank you all.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“I love you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living in every country of the world. Christian marriage is of very great importance to our Heavenly Father and to Me. It was the Father who established marriage right at the beginning of creation when He created Adam and Eve. So for the Father marriage is a life contract between a man and a woman. He instituted marriage so that children could be born and raised by a father and a mother. It is a fact that a child needs both parents to grow up normally. Same-sex marriage is an abomination to the Father and polygamy is not much better. Christians who wish to marry must understand that the only Christian marriage that is acceptable by the Father is between a man and a woman. They are to live together in love and enjoy their life together. If the Father gives them children then they should be very happy indeed. Children are gifts from the Father and they should be accepted in that way. They should never be seen as a burden but as the greatest gift that a couple could receive. May you live together and know that I am always there to help you. Do not forget to pray regularly. I bless you all.”
