Exhortation to Christian Virtue

Dear Friends,
A reading from the Second Letter of St. Peter (
1.1-11):
I Symeon Peter, a slave and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who have received a faith of equal value to ours through the righteousness of our God and savior Jesus Christ: may grace and peace be yours in abundance through knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.
His divine power has bestowed on us everything that makes for life and devotion, through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and power. Through these, he has bestowed on us the precious and very great promises, so that through them you may come to share in the divinenature, after escaping from the corruption that is in the world because of evil desire. For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, virtue with knowledge, knowledge with self-control, self-control with endurance, endurance with devotion, devotion with mutual affection, mutual affection with love. If these are yours and increase in abundance, they will keep you from being idle or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Anyone who lacks them is blind and shortsighted, forgetful of the cleansing of his past sins. Therefore, brothers, be all the more eager to make your calland election firm, for, in doing so, you will never stumble. For, in this way, entry into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ will be richly provided for you.

I thank the Lord for the beautiful sunny day we had yesterday. A lot of snow melted and there is water around the house and on the roads everywhere. I thank the Lord for this nice day.

Below you will find the message of Our Dear Mother Mary given to Father Melvin. She spoke to him these words,
“As I bless you I call you to imitate My Son Jesus you My son Melvin and all My sons and daughters who have personally given your lives to Jesus. Follow Jesus like the great Saint Peter. When he received the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, he began his great work as the first Apostle of His Lord and Savior. He worked hard in many countries until he gave up his life on the cross in Rome. His letters, which you find in the Bible, are powerful teachings for you all. Read them and meditate on them for your benefit. He calls you all to be virtuous and every day to work to build up these virtues. If you are not virtuous, then you are living in sin and far from My Son Jesus. Indeed you must supplement your faith with virtues and in doing this you will grow in holiness. I want you all My sons and daughters to be holy and to live only for the Lord. I bless you all.”

Advice to Presbyters and the Community

Dear Friends,
A reading from the First Letter of St. Peter (
5:1-11):
So I exhort the presbyters among you, as a fellow presbyter and witness to the sufferings of Christ and one who has a share in the glory to be revealed. Tend the flock of God in your midst, overseeing not by constraint but willingly, as God would have it, not for shameful profit but eagerly. Do not lord it over those assigned to you, but be examples to the flock. And when the chief Shepherd is revealed, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.
Likewise, you younger members, be subject to the presbyters. And all of you, clothe yourselves with humility in your dealings with one another, for: “God opposes the proud but bestows favor on the humble.”
So humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time. Cast all your worries upon him because he cares for you. Be sober and vigilant. Your opponent the devil is prowling around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, steadfast in faith, knowing that your fellow believers throughout the world undergo the same sufferings. The God of all grace who called you to his eternal glory through Christ Jesus will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you after you have suffered a little. To him be dominion forever. Amen.

————————————————-

I pray every day for the new Pope of Rome who will be elected within a week or two. I ask you all to join with the church and pray daily that the cardinals may elect a holy pope according to the desire of Our Lord and Savior Jesus.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“I call you to pray for priests My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who are active members of My Church. I want holy priests who pray regularly and celebrate Holy Mass every day. I want them to love the Christian people and to tend them as a good shepherd. They must never take advantage of any person and use them for their own corrupt reasons. They must bring everyone to Me, their Savior who died for them. The priests must teach them to repent of their sins and to follow the Ten Commandments.
“All Christian people must be filled with humility. They must listen to their priests and follow them on the way to the Promised Land. Every one of you has to be vigilant because the devil is prowling around like a lion. The evil one would like to devour the priests and the laity too. Resist Satan with faith and call upon the grace of God to strengthen and establish you after you have suffered. The Father is supreme and all must obey Him. I bless you all.”

Advice to the Persecuted

Dear Friends,
A reading from the First Letter of St. Peter (
4:12-19):
Beloved, do not be surprised that a trial by fire is occurring among you, as if something strange were happening to you. But rejoice to the extent that you share in the sufferings of Christ, so that when his glory is revealed you may also rejoice exultantly. If you are insulted for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. But let no one among you be made to suffer as a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, or as an intriguer. But whoever is made to suffer as a Christian should not be ashamed but glorify God because of the name. For it is time for the judgment to begin with the household of God; if it begins with us, how will it end for those who fail to obey the gospel of God?
“And if the righteous one is barely saved, where will the godless and the sinner appear?” As a result, those who suffer in accord with God’s will hand their souls over to a faithful creator as they do good.

————————————————-

Yesterday the sun came out just a little bit and not for long. It was cloudy for the rest of the day. The sun should shine for much longer today. Let us continue to pray for the cardinals that they will select the pope that the Lord wants. I hope we will have a new pope next week.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“Be ready to suffer together with Me My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who call themselves Catholics and Christians. Do not be afraid of those who make fun of you because you believe in Me. Know that many refused to believe in Me when I was on earth. They rejected Me and even said that I healed people with the power of the devil, what nonsense. Today in this secular world of yours, there are many who would like to destroy your Christian religion. Look what happened in Russia and China and in many communist countries, but they were not able to destroy the faith in those countries. They also tried to destroy the church in Mexico in the 1920s but they never succeeded and today the faith there is very strong. Sometimes it is good to have your faith tested so that it can grow more and more. Follow Me and do not worry about what the people are saying or doing. Remember that I love you and I will strengthen you.”
