Testing the Spirits

Dear Friends,
A reading from
the First Letter of Saint John (4:1-12):
Beloved, do not trust every spirit but test the spirits to see whether they belong to God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you can know the Spirit of God: every spirit that acknowledges Jesus Christ come in the flesh be longs to God, and every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus does not belong to God. This is the spirit of the antichrist that, as you heard, is to come, but in fact is already in the world. You belong to God, children, and you have conquered them, for the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. They belong to the world; accordingly, their teaching belongs to the world, and the world listens to them. We belong to God, and anyone who knows God listens to us, while anyone who does not belong to God refuses to hear us. This is how we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of deceit.
Beloved, let us love one another, because love is of God; everyone who loves is begotten by God and knows God. Whoever is without love does not know God, for God is love. In this way the love of God was revealed to us: God sent his only Son into the world so that we might have life through him. In this is love: not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as expiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also must love one another. No one has ever seen God. Yet, if we love one another, God remains in us, and his love is brought to perfection in us.

We had a snowstorm yesterday and it ended in the afternoon. As it was windy the snow is piled up here and there. They will come and clear the roads this evening.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“Remain close to Me My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who live in the world. You know that there are good spirits and bad spirits. If a spirit comes to you, it is important to test that spirit to find out if he comes from God or not. If the spirit believes in Me as the Savior of the world who suffered and died on the cross and came back to life, then you know the spirit is a good one. It is important right from the beginning to put the question to him if he believes in Me. If he does not believe in Me, then you know that he is not a good spirit and you must chase him away in My name. For example there are some people today who say they are prophets and they have come out to say that the new pope is a false pope. Pope Francis is not a false pope, and the one who said this is a false prophet. Do not believe such a person. I am very pleased with the New Pope and I have blessed him. He is My Pope and I want you all to listen to him. I bless you all.”

Love for One Another

Love for One Another

Dear Friends,
A reading from the First Letter of St. John (
3:11-24):
For this is the message you have heard from the beginning: we should love one another, unlike Cain who belonged to the evil one and slaughtered his brother. Why did he slaughter him? Because his own works were evil, and those of his brother righteous. Do not be amazed, then, brothers, if the world hates you. We know that we have passed from death to life because we love our brothers. Whoever does not love remains in death. Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life remaining in him. The way we came to know love was that he laid down his life for us; so we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. If someone who has worldly means sees a brother in need and refuses him compassion, how can the love of God remain in him? Children, let us love not in word or speech but in deed and truth.
Now this is how we shall know that we belong to the truth and reassure our hearts before him in whatever our hearts condemn, for God is greater than our hearts and knows everything. Beloved, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence in God and receive from him whatever we ask, because we keep his commandments and do what pleases him. And his commandment is this: we should believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another just as he commanded us. Those who keep his commandments remain in him, and he in them, and the way we know that he remains in us is from the Spirit that he gave us.

Our New Pope Francis was inaugurated yesterday in Rome in the presence of a huge crowd of people and many heads of state. Let us thank God for this great gift of a new pope and let us pray for him every day.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“Love one another My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who believe in Me, your Savior. If you do not love every one of your brothers and sisters, then you do not love Me. Anyone who harbors hatred in his or her heart is very far from Me and cannot be saved. If you do find that you hate someone, then it is time to get rid of this hatred. You can get rid of it in this way. You ask Me for forgiveness for this hatred and you repeat about twenty or more times a day that you love this person. After ten to fifteen days all the hatred will be gone and you will love that person. All the darkness of hatred will disappear from your heart and My light will enter there. You know that if you hate a person then you cannot really pray, but when the light enters your heart then you will be able to pray without any difficulty. Remain close to Me. I love you all and I bless you.”

Joseph’s Problem

Joseph’s Problem

Dear Friends,
A reading from the
 Gospel of Saint Matthew (1:19-25):
Joseph her husband, since he was a righteous man, yet unwilling to expose her to shame, decided to divorce her quietly. Such was his intention when, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary your wife into your home. For it is through the Holy Spirit that this child has been conceived in her. She will bear a son and you are to name him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet:
“Behold, the virgin shall be with child and bear a son, and they shall name him Emmanuel,” which means “God is with us.”
When Joseph awoke, he did as the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took his wife into his home. He had no relations with her until she bore a son, and he named him Jesus.

Today is the Feast of St. Joseph, the Patron Saint of the Church and the Patron Saint of Canada. It is also today that Pope Francis will be inaugurated as Bishop of Rome. Let us pray for our pope.

Below you will the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“I bless you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who are part of My Church. I had a holy foster father in the name of Joseph and I love him very much. He took very good care of Me as I grew up. My Mother was very happy to live with Joseph, her husband, and they had an ideal marriage. Joseph was a carpenter and he taught Me the trade too.
“He was very upset when he found My Mother pregnant and he never had any relation with Her. However, My Father sent an angel to tell him that I was conceived through the power of the Holy Spirit and so he should not see any difficulty to take his wife to his home. How important it was that we had Joseph with us to travel to Egypt and he took very good care of us. He worked there so we could live comfortably. We truly needed him to return to Israel, this long trip from Egypt to Nazareth. He was our great guide. There in Nazareth he took good care of My Mother and I, and I am always very grateful to him. He died in the arms of My Mother and I was there too. He is now with us in heaven in glory. Pray to him for the help you need. He will intercede for you and for all that you need. I love you all.”
