Jesus Appears on the Road

Dear Friends,
A reading from Saint Luke’s Gospel (24:22-35):
Some women from our group, however, have astounded us: they were at the tomb of [Jesus] early in the morning and did not find his body; they came back and reported that they had indeed seen a vision of angels who announced that he was alive. Then some of those with us went to the tomb and found things just as the women had described, but him they did not see.” And [Jesus] said to them, “Oh, how foolish you are! How slow of heart to believe all that the prophets spoke! Was it not necessary that the Messiah should suffer these things and enter into his glory?”
Then beginning with Moses and all the prophets, he interpreted to them what referred to him in all the scriptures. As they approached the village to which they were going, he gave the impression that he was going on farther. But they urged him, “Stay with us, for it is nearly evening and the day is almost over.” So he went in to stay with them. And it happened that, while he was with them at table, he took bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to them. With that their eyes were opened and they recognized him, but he vanished from their sight.
Then they said to each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us while he spoke to us on the way and opened the scriptures to us?” So they set out at once and returned to Jerusalem where they found gathered together the eleven and those with them who were saying, “The Lord has truly been raised and has appeared to Simon!” Then the two recounted what had taken place on the way and how he was made known to them in the breaking of the bread.

This is a fantastic story when Jesus joined these two on the way to Emmaus. He is teaching us that He is risen from the dead. Let us believe in him.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,         “Join these two from Emmaus with joy My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who have been filled with joy at the great Feast of Easter. I appeared to these two disciples of mine to show them that I was truly risen from the dead, because at that time it was very difficult for them to believe that I was resurrected from the dead. No one had ever risen from the dead but as they finally recognized Me then their joy was complete. They returned to Jerusalem to tell the Apostles all they had experienced on the way to Emmaus. By this I wish to show you that indeed I am risen from the dead never to die again. I am now at the right hand of the Father where I am your Savior and I am doing all to help each one of you to be united with Me and to come to heaven one day. I bless you all.”

Jesus Appears on the Road

Dear Friends,
A reading from Saint Luke’s Gospel (24:13-21):
Now that very day two of them were going to a village seven miles from Jerusalem called Emmaus, and they were conversing about all the things that had occurred. And it happened that while they were conversing and debating, Jesus himself drew near and walked with them, but their eyes were prevented from recognizing him. He asked them, “What are you discussing as you walk along?” They stopped, looking downcast. One of them, named Cleopas, said to him in reply, “Are you the only visitor to Jerusalem who does not know of the things that have taken place there in these days?” And he replied to them, “What sort of things?” They said to him, “The things that happened to Jesus the Nazarene, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people, how our chief priests and rulers both handed him over to a sentence of death and crucified him. But we were hoping that he would be the one to redeem Israel; and besides all this, it is now the third day since this took place.

We had a beautiful sunny day yesterday for the Feast of Easter. A lot of the snow melted, as it was nearly 10 degrees Celsius. I had a wonderful evening meal at my friends with their children. The day was filled with joy for me.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“Continue in My joy My dear brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who celebrated My Easter Feast yesterday. There was great joy also in heaven with all the angels and saints. My dear Mother also blesses all of you.
“Pray My dear friends that those who do not believe in Me may receive the gift of faith and may come to join you with great faith and open their hearts to receive all the gifts that I have for them. Still today there are some who mock Me and say all kinds of falsehood against Me. Those follow the evil one and if they do not change they will not be saved. Pray also for your great Pope Francis who is a man after My own heart. Pray that he can head the Church for many years. Pray too for the priests that their faith be strong and they follow the commandments of My Father and be a good example to all the believers. I love you all.”

The Resurrection of Jesus

The Resurrection of Jesus

Dear Friends,
A reading from Saint Luke’s Gospel (24:1-12):
At daybreak on the first day of the week [the women] took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb; but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were puzzling over this, behold, two men in dazzling garments appeared to them. They were terrified and bowed their faces to the ground. They said to them, “Why do you seek the living one among the dead? He is not here, but he has been raised. Remember what he said to you while he was still in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be handed over to sinners and be crucified, and rise on the third day.” And they remembered his words. Then they returned from the tomb and announced all these things to the eleven and to all the others. The women were Mary Magdalene, Joanna, and Mary the mother of James; the others who accompanied them also told this to the apostles, but their story seemed like nonsense and they did not believe them. But Peter got up and ran to the tomb, bent down, and saw the burial cloths alone; then he went home amazed at what had happened.

I wish you all a very Joyful Easter, the greatest feast of the year. The joy comes from the fact that Our Lord Jesus Christ who died on the cross, came back to life after three days. We know that He stayed on earth for forty days to strengthen the faith of the Apostles and the others. Let us praise the Lord for this great marvel of the resurrection and let us believe totally in Him.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“Rejoice, rejoice My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living in every part of the world. Come and believe with all your heart that I am risen from the dead and in complete health. I am risen with a glorified body never to die again. I will never suffer again but I will be there always to help you and to call you to follow Me. I am the first to rise from the dead but all of you who follow Me with rise too at the end of times and I will bring you with Me to the glory of heaven. Open your hearts to Me so I can fill them completely with My joy, My peace and My love. I want you all to celebrate this great feast of Mine today and not only today but everyday of your life. I love you all.”
