Paul’s Address in the Synagogue

Dear Friends,
A reading from the Acts of the Apostles (13:13-25):

From Paphos, Paul and his companions set sail and arrived at Perga in Pamphylia. But John left them and returned to Jerusalem. They continued on from Perga and reached Antioch in Pisidia. On the sabbath they entered into the synagogue and took their seats. After the reading of the law and the prophets, the synagogue officials sent word to them, “My brothers, if one of you has a word of exhortation for the people, please speak.”
So Paul got up, motioned with his hand, and said, “Fellow Israelites and you others who are God-fearing, listen. The God of this people Israel chose our ancestors and exalted the people during their sojourn in the land of Egypt. With uplifted arm he led them out of it and for about forty years he put up with them in the desert. When he had destroyed seven nations in the land of Canaan, he gave them their land as an inheritance at the end of about 450 years. After these things he provided judges up to Samuel the prophet. Then they asked for a king. God gave them Saul, son of Kish, a man from the tribe of Benjamin, for 40 years. Then he removed him and raised up David as their king; of him he testified, ‘I have found David, son of Jesse, a man after my own heart; he will carry out my every wish.’ From this man’s descendants God, according to his promise, has brought to Israel a savior, Jesus. John heralded his coming by proclaiming a baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel; and as John was completing his course, he would say, ‘What do you suppose that I am? I am not he. Behold, one is coming after me; I am not worthy to unfasten the sandals of his feet.’

I thank the Lord for another beautiful sunny day we had yesterday. It should be nice and sunny again today. I will have a Healing Service this evening at the little chapel of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island starting at 7:00 p.m. with the rosary.

Below you will find the message of Our Savior, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“Open your hearts to believe, My brother Melvin and you all My brothers and sisters who have great faith in Me. St. Paul loved to preach about Me in the Jewish synagogues. He was not afraid to show them that I am a descendant of King David and St. John the Baptist prepared the Jewish people by preaching and baptizing them in the Jordan River. Although he spoke highly of Me, many of the Jews refused to believe in Me and often caused much suffering to My great Apostle Saint Paul.
“I would like you all to read the writings of Saint Paul and see his great faith in Me. He was very intelligent and was never afraid to speak about Me to anyone. Remember that I died for you because I love you and that I want you all with Me in heaven one day. Come to adore Me in church before the monstrance where I am truly present in the host. I bless you all.”

The Holy Spirit selected St. Paul and Barnabas

Dear Friends,
A reading from the Acts of the Apostles (13:1-12):

Now there were in the church at Antioch prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Symeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen who was a close friend of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” Then, completing their fasting and prayer, they laid hands on them and sent them off.
So they, sent forth by the Holy Spirit, went down to Seleucia and from there sailed to Cyprus. When they arrived in Salamis, they proclaimed the word of God in the Jewish synagogues. They had John also as their assistant. When they had traveled through the whole island as far as Paphos, they met a magician named Bar-Jesus who was a Jewish false prophet. He was with the proconsul Sergius Paulus, a man of intelligence, who had summoned Barnabas and Saul and wanted to hear the word of God. But Elymas the magician (for that is what his name means) opposed them in an attempt to turn the proconsul away from the faith. But Saul, also known as Paul, filled with the holy Spirit, looked intently at him and said, “You son of the devil, you enemy of all that is right, full of every sort of deceit and fraud. Will you not stop twisting the straight paths of the Lord? Even now the hand of the Lord is upon you. You will be blind, and unable to see the sun for a time.” Immediately a dark mist fell upon him, and he went about seeking people to lead him by the hand. When the proconsul saw what had happened, he came to believe, for he was astonished by the teaching about the Lord.

A few yellow flowers have appeared around my house the past few days. Yes, spring is here for sure.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“Open your heart to the Holy Spirit, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who believe in Me as their Lord and Savior. Look at what St. Paul did to this magician who was against the things of God. He told him he would go blind and immediately he could not see. Because of this the proconsul was converted and became to believe. Yes, I have done many miracles in my time and I still continue to perform them. These always bring many people to follow Me.
“You will remember, My brother Melvin, the man who came to visit you one day, who did not believe and never went to church. He was not feeling well and he asked you to pray with him. You did with great faith and as soon as you had finished the man began to cry. You prayed with him in the afternoon and he cried the rest of the day until he fell asleep that night. The next day he was a completely new man. He came to see you around 7:00 a.m. to tell you that he was no longer the same man. He had great faith in Me and he told you that he would go to church every Sunday and even during the week. Once he was home he would phone you every week to tell you what had happened. His wife could not believe what she saw. He now goes to church every day and receives Holy Communion regularly. They pray the rosary together every evening. What a great conversion and a great healing he received. I bless you all.”

The Flight to Egypt, in Africa

The Flight to Egypt, in Africa

Dear Friends,
A reading from St. Matthew’s Gospel (2:13-18):

When [the magi] had departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, “Rise, take the child and his mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I tell you. Herod is going to search for the child to destroy him.” Joseph rose and took the child and his mother by night and departed for Egypt. He stayed there until the death of Herod, that what the Lord had said through the prophet might be fulfilled, “Out of Egypt I called my son.”
When Herod realized that he had been deceived by the magi, he became furious. He ordered the massacre of all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity two years old and under, in accordance with the time he had ascertained from the magi. Then was fulfilled what had been said through Jeremiah the prophet: “A voice was heard in Ramah, sobbing and loud lamentation; Rachel weeping for her children, and she would not be consoled, since they were no more.”

Today is the Feast of Our Lady of Africa. Let us pray to her today for her help and let us pray the rosary too.
I received a letter from the USA yesterday and here are some of the words this lady wrote, “In December, I wrote to you to ask for healing prayers for a cure for cancer. I was unable to continue with treatment due to allergic reactions to the drugs. With the grace of God, I am getting stronger each day and after battling ovarian cancer for two years, my tests are negative. This is a miracle that has bewildered my doctor and many others. From the bottom of my heart I thank you.”

Below you will find the message of Our Blessed Mother given to Father Melvin. Our Lady spoke to him these words,
“I love you My son Melvin and all My sons and daughters who have great faith in Jesus, My Son, and who have a devotion to Me. You know that I have appeared in Africa in a country called Rwanda, because I love the Africans with all My heart.
“Only a short time after My Son Jesus was born in Bethlehem, My husband Joseph was visited by an angel in a dream who told him to rise and go to Egypt. That same night Joseph and the child Jesus and I left for this African country. We were there for about seven years and I prayed when I was there for the African people. I know today over 180 million Africans have a great love for Me and they love to pray the rosary. These belong to the Church of My Son He founded on Saint Peter and the Apostles. My Son Jesus has spread many graces to all of them because of their great faith and their great trust in Him. Do not forget to pray for these people that they all become believers in My Son and join His Church. I bless you all and I am praying for you too.”
