Paul’s Travels

Dear Friends,
A reading from the Acts of the Apostles (20:1-12):

When the disturbance was over, Paul had the disciples summoned and, after encouraging them, he bade them farewell and set out on his journey to Macedonia. As he traveled throughout those regions, he provided many words of encouragement for them. Then he arrived in Greece, where he stayed for three months. But when a plot was made against him by the Jews as he was about to set sail for Syria, he decided to return by way of Macedonia. Sopater, the son of Pyrrhus, from Beroea, accompanied him, as did Aristarchus and Secundus from Thessalonica, Gaius from Derbe, Timothy, and Tychicus and Trophimus from Asia who went on ahead and waited for us at Troas. We sailed from Philippi after the feast of Unleavened Bread, and rejoined them five days later in Troas, where we spent a week.
On the first day of the week when we gathered to break bread, Paul spoke to them because he was going to leave on the next day, and he kept on speaking until midnight. There were many lamps in the upstairs room where we were gathered, and a young man named Eutychus who was sitting on the window sill was sinking into a deep sleep as Paul talked on and on. Once overcome by sleep, he fell down from the third story and when he was picked up, he was dead. Paul went down, threw himself upon him, and said as he embraced him, “Don’t be alarmed; there is life in him.” Then he returned upstairs, broke the bread, and ate; after a long conversation that lasted until daybreak, he departed. And they took the boy away alive and were immeasurably comforted.

I am back from Toronto where I met the lawyer and we spoke for about two hours and I signed some papers. My friend’s niece is involved in this, but the lawyer is optimistic that I should receive the money soon.

Below you will find the message of Our Dear Mother Mary given to Father Melvin. She spoke to him these words,
“I bless you My son Melvin and all My sons and daughters who believe in My Son Jesus and who follow Him every day. Saint Paul was one who had great faith in Jesus, My Son, and he loved Him very much. He loved to travel to many countries to teach the Christians about the Good News. Sometimes he would speak until midnight. There was a great miracle when a young man fell asleep and fell from the third story and was pronounced dead. Saint Paul though went down and prayed over him and he came back to life. This is another great miracle that Jesus performed in answer to Saint Paul’s prayers. My Son is performing many miracles even today. How many have been healed because you, Melvin, or another person, has prayed over a sick person. Jesus can heal a person in a second and you have seen this at times. Sometimes it may take longer but in the end the person is healed. Come accept My Son Jesus as your great Savior who works for you every day. I love you all.”

The Riot of the Silversmiths

The Riot of the Silversmiths

Dear Friends,
A reading from the Acts of the Apostles (19:23, 32-40):

About that time a serious disturbance broke out concerning the Way […] some
were shouting one thing, others something else; the assembly was in chaos, and most of the people had no idea why they had come together. Some of the crowd prompted Alexander, as the Jews pushed him forward, and Alexander signaled with his hand that he wished to explain something to the gathering. But when they recognized that he was a Jew, they all shouted in unison, for about two hours, “Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!”
Finally the town clerk restrained the crowd and said, “You Ephesians, what person is there who does not know that the city of the Ephesians is the guardian of the temple of the great Artemis and of her image that fell from the sky? Since these things are undeniable, you must calm yourselves and not do anything rash. The men you brought here are not temple robbers, nor have they insulted our goddess. If Demetrius and his fellow craftsmen have a complaint against anyone, courts are in session, and there are proconsuls. Let them bring charges against one another.  If you have anything further to investigate, let the matter be settled in the lawful assembly, for, as it is, we are in danger of being charged with rioting because of today’s conduct. There is no cause for it. We shall not be able to give a reason for this demonstration.” With these words he dismissed the assembly.

We had a beautiful evening yesterday with the brilliant sun and it was warm. It will now get warmer every day. It is horrible what happened in Paris, France, yesterday. A man went to the Church of Notre Dame and in front of the altar, he shot himself and so committed suicide. The church was full of people as they were praying for the end of abortion.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“Christians are not to start riots, but they are to be people of peace, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters, and in this way, the world will know that you follow Me. Pagans love to start riots against Christians as we see in the Acts of the Apostles. They wanted to attack Paul and his followers, but his friends were able to stop him from answering these rioters. In time it was the town clerk who put a stop to this noisy riot. Christians cannot favor a temple to a pagan goddess, but it is not our duty to destroy that building. Once the people come to follow Me, they will get rid of any place dedicated to pagan gods.
“My dear friends, be careful because some will try to start a riot and hoping to kill My followers. It is not for the Christians to oppose them, but the police and army should intervene. I call on My followers to pray during such horrible attacks on them. Pray that these riots may end and peace may return. I am there and I will help you to leave the place and to be saved. I love you all and I am always there with you to help you.”

Paul’s Plans

Paul’s Plans

Dear Friends,
A reading from the Acts of the Apostles (19:21-31):

When this was concluded, Paul made up his mind to travel through Macedonia and Achaia, and then to go on to Jerusalem, saying, “After I have been there, I must visit Rome also.” Then he sent to Macedonia two of his assistants, Timothy and Erastus, while he himself stayed for a while in the province of Asia.
About that time a serious disturbance broke out concerning the Way. There was a silversmith named Demetrius who made miniature silver shrines of Artemis and provided no little work for the craftsmen. He called a meeting of these and other workers in related crafts and said, “Men, you know well that our prosperity derives from this work. As you can now see and hear, not only in Ephesus but throughout most of the province of Asia this Paul has persuaded and misled a great number of people by saying that gods made by hands are not gods at all. The danger grows, not only that our business will be discredited, but also that the temple of the great goddess Artemis will be of no account, and that she whom the whole province of Asia and all the world worship will be stripped of her magnificence.”
When they heard this, they were filled with fury and began to shout, “Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!” The city was filled with confusion, and the people rushed with one accord into the theater, seizing Gaius and Aristarchus, the Macedonians, Paul’s traveling companions. Paul wanted to go before the crowd, but the disciples would not let him, and even some of the Asiarchs who were friends of his sent word to him advising him not to venture into the theater.

Yesterday we had some sunshine, but it was cloudy, especially in the late afternoon. We had rain during the night. I will be going on Thursday to Toronto for two or three days as I have to go and see the person who is in charge of the cheque, which is the gift of money for Our Lady of PEI.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“I bless you, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who have great faith in Me. In the time of Saint Paul, there were many pagan religions. Today there are many false religions too, such as New Age, the Jehovah Witnesses, the Mormons, and many Satanic cults. All of these do not honor Me, but the people of these cults follow the evil one. They teach falsehood and bring people into the darkness. I am the light and those who follow Me come into the light. Paul was not afraid to tell the people of his time that the Way, which is My Church, is the only true religion and all should enter into that Church. There is no salvation if you belong to these false religions or cults, because they do not come from Me. Come My friends and read what the saints have written from the time of Saint Paul until today, and they will show that My Church goes back to when I was on earth, that the Eucharist is truly My body and My blood and that My Church follows the seven sacraments instituted by Me. This is the Church where I am truly present and she has all the power to save you all. Come and be part of My Church, and you will be blessed. I love you all.”
