Freedom from the Law

Dear Friends,
A reading from Saint Paul’s Letter to the Romans (7:1-12):

Are you unaware, brothers (for I am speaking to people who know the law), that the law has jurisdiction over one as long as one lives? Thus a married woman is bound by law to her living husband; but if her husband dies, she is released from the law in respect to her husband. Consequently, while her husband is alive she will be called an adulteress if she consorts with another man. But if her husband dies she is free from that law, and she is not an adulteress if she consorts with another man.
In the same way, my brothers, you also were put to death to the law through the body of Christ, so that you might belong to another, to the one who was raised from the dead in order that we might bear fruit for God. For when we were in the flesh, our sinful passions, awakened by the law, worked in our members to bear fruit for death. But now we are released from the law, dead to what held us captive, so that we may serve in the newness of the spirit and not under the obsolete letter.
What then can we say? That the law is sin? Of course not! Yet I did not know sin except through the law, and I did not know what it is to covet except that the law said, “You shall not covet.” But sin, finding an opportunity in the commandment, produced in me every kind of covetousness. Apart from the law sin is dead. I once lived outside the law, but when the commandment came, sin became alive; then I died, and the commandment that was for life turned out to be death for me. For sin, seizing an opportunity in the commandment, deceived me and through it put me to death. So then the law is holy, and the commandment is holy and righteous and good.

I wish to thank all those who sent me gifts of money for my 45thanniversary of my ordination. May the Lord bless you all.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“Be free from sin, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who live by the grace I am giving you every day. The Jewish people had what is called the Mosaic Law, which they had to follow, but when I came I called the Gentiles and they were told they did not have to follow the Mosaic Law. They just have to follow what I told them. It is true they have to follow the Ten Commandments and these will last until the end of the world. The Jews today are still following the Mosaic Law, but you who are Christians do not follow that law. You know My commandment: Love one another as I have loved you. Love is the most important part of the commandments. If you love God and love your neighbors, then you will indeed follow all the commandments. However, all the Christians have to be taught the Ten Commandments and they must follow them if they want to reach heaven one day. Come to Me and ask for the graces you need, and I will help you to follow the commandments and it will not be very difficult. I bless you all.”

Freedom from sin, Life in God

Dear Friends,
A reading from Saint Paul’s Letter to the Romans (6:1-14):

What then shall we say? Shall we persist in sin that grace may abound? Of course not! How can we who died to sin yet live in it? Or are you unaware that we who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were indeed buried with him through baptism into death, so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might live in newness of life.
For if we have grown into union with him through a death like his, we shall also be united with him in the resurrection. We know that our old self was crucified with him, so that our sinful body might be done away with, that we might no longer be in slavery to sin. For a dead person has been absolved from sin. If, then, we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him. We know that Christ, raised from the dead, dies no more; death no longer has power over him. As to his death, he died to sin once and for all; as to his life, he lives for God. Consequently, you too must think of yourselves as being dead to sin and living for God in Christ Jesus.
Therefore, sin must not reign over your mortal bodies so that you obey their desires. And do not present the parts of your bodies to sin as weapons for wickedness, but present yourselves to God as raised from the dead to life and the parts of your bodies to God as weapons for righteousness. For sin is not to have any power over you, since you are not under the law but under grace.

Again I thank the Lord for the beautiful day we had yesterday. It was sunny all day and the temperature climbed to nearly 25 degrees Celsius.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“Come live with Me, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who truly believe that I am the Messiah sent by the Father to save you all. If in the past you were a slave to sin, now through baptism you are free by the grace you received from this sacrament. Open your heart to accept all the graces of this sacrament, so that you can no longer live a life of sin but a life with your Savior. You know that sin kills and brings you into darkness. One who lives in sin can never have happiness and joy, but he or she will often be depressed and such a life will not have any meaning for any person. Why are there so many suicides today? The cause of this is that they are far from Me and they are lost. You need to pray for such people that they come out of this terrible hole and return to living with Me and I will give that person great meaning to his or her life. Do not allow sin to have any power over you, but live by the power of grace and ask every day for all the graces you need. I bless you all.”

Grace and Life through Christ

Grace and Life through Christ

Dear Friends,
A reading from Saint Paul’s Letter to the Romans (5:15-21):

The gift is not like the transgression. For if by that one person’s transgression the many died, how much more did the grace of God and the gracious gift of the one person Jesus Christ overflow for the many. And the gift is not like the result of the one person’s sinning. For after one sin there was the judgment that brought condemnation; but the gift, after many transgressions, brought acquittal. For if, by the transgression of one person, death came to reign through that one, how much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of justification come to reign in life through the one person Jesus Christ. In conclusion, just as through one transgression condemnation came upon all, so through one righteous act acquittal and life came to all. For just as through the disobedience of one person the many were made sinners, so through the obedience of one the many will be made righteous. The law entered in so that transgression might increase but, where sin increased, grace overflowed all the more, so that, as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through justification for eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Yesterday I celebrated my 45 anniversary of ordination. I thanked the Lord for all these years I worked for Him as a priest. In the evening I had a lovely meal with plenty of lobster. I thank the Lord for all of you who prayed for me.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“Be full of thanks for the grace you have received, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who inhabit the world today and believe in Me. It is through sin committed by Adam and Eve that death entered the world. Before the first sin, there was no death. So you see how horrible sin is that it would bring into the world the death of every person. Because of sin, heaven was closed to every person. That was why Our Heavenly Father sent Me to earth to teach you all about God, to found My Church, and to offer the Father the supreme sacrifice of My life on the cross. Through My supreme suffering and death, I was able to open heaven for you, to atone for all your sins and to win for you the graces you need to follow Me and come to heaven. Without the grace I won for you, you can never enter heaven. You are bent to evil and only the power of My grace can turn you around. So My dear friends remain close to Me, pray regularly and ask for My help and you will receive the powerful grace you need to avoid evil and to do good. Come, My love ones, and walk with Me and I will help you. I love you all.”
