The Canticle of Mary

Dear Friends,
A reading from St. Luke’s Gospel (1:46-56):

Mary said: “My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,
my spirit rejoices in God my savior.
                    For he has looked upon his handmaid’s lowliness;
behold, for now on will all ages call me blessed.
The Mighty One has done great things for me,
                    and holy is his name.

His mercy is from age to age to those who fear him.

He has shown might with his arms,

dispensed the arrogant of mind and heart.

He has thrown down the rulers from their thrones

but lifted up the lowly.

The hungry he has filled with good things;

the rich he has sent away empty.

He has helped Israel his servant, remembering his mercy,

according to his promise to our fathers,
to Abraham and to his descendants forever.”

It was cloudy all day yesterday and we had some rain. It is supposed to be sunny today.

Below you will find the message of Our Blessed Mother given to Father Melvin. She spoke to him these words,
“I bless you, My son Melvin and all My sons and daughters who love to recite My canticle which I sang when I came to visit My cousin Elizabeth. At the time I was pregnant with Jesus, the Savior of the world. It was the Holy Spirit who inspired Me to sing this canticle. I proclaimed the greatness of God for He loves to help the humble people. The Church founded by My Son Jesus always calls Me blessed and that was what the Holy Spirit had inspired Me. Our Heavenly Father selected Me to be the Mother of Jesus and this was the greatest honor that any woman could receive. I thank Him every day for this great mercy He showed Me. The Father does not like the arrogant and the proud rulers, but He lifts up the poor and lowly. He gives food to those who are hungry but not to the rich. He helped the people of Israel because of Abraham and the other holy people. I am a descendant of Abraham and so I have been blessed by the Father.
“My dear children, follow what the Father and My Son Jesus have taught you and you too will be blessed. I am praying for all of you.”

The Great Virtue of Love

The Great Virtue of Love

Dear Friends,
A reading from Saint Paul’s First Letter to the Corinthians (1 Cor 13:1-13):

If I speak in human and angelic tongues but do not have love, I am a resounding gong or a clashing cymbal. And if I have the gift of prophecy and comprehend all mysteries and all knowledge; if I have all faith so as to move mountains but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give away everything I own, and if I hand my body over so that I may boast but do not have love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, love is not pompous, it is not inflated, it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury, it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never fails. If there are prophecies, they will be brought to nothing; if tongues, they will cease; if knowledge, it will be brought to nothing. For we know partially and we prophesy partially, but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away. When I was a child, I used to talk as a child, think as a child, reason as a child; when I became a man, I put aside childish things. At present we see indistinctly, as in a mirror, but then face to face. At present I know partially; then I shall know fully, as I am fully known.
So faith, hope, love remain, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Yesterday morning it was sunny but the sky clouded over in the afternoon and we had some rain during the night. We had beautiful days though during the last week.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“I call you to love with all your heart, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who believe in Me and follow Me every day. Love is the greatest gift you can have. Our Heavenly Father created the world and all human beings out of love. I came into the world out of love to save you by My sacrifice on the cross. I forgive every person who repents of his or her sins and I fill them with My grace. Indeed if you love, you will forgive all those who hurt you in any way. Do not carry hate in your heart, My friends, but give all this to Me so that I may give you the grace and strength to change this hate to love. If you have love, you will never fail to help those in need. Come and open your heart to Me and I will fill it with My love, so that you can love all your brothers and sisters as I love them. I bless you all.”

One Body, Many Parts

One Body, Many Parts

Dear Friends,
A reading from Saint Paul’s First Letter to the Corinthians (1 Cor 12:12-31a):

As a body is one though it has many parts, and all the parts of the body, though many, are one body, so also Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, slaves or free persons, and we were all given to drink of one Spirit.
Now the body is not a single part, but many. If a foot should say, “Because I am not a hand I do not belong to the body,” it does not for this reason belong any less to the body. Or if an ear should say, “Because I am not an eye I do not belong to the body,” it does not for this reason belong any less to the body. If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole body were hearing, where would the sense of smell be? But as it is, God placed the parts, each one of them, in the body as he intended. If they were all one part, where would the body be? But as it is, there are many parts, yet one body.
The eye cannot say to the hand, “I do not need you,” nor again the head to the feet, “I do not need you.” Indeed, the parts of the body that seem to be weaker are all the more necessary, and those parts of the body that we consider less honorable we surround with greater honor, and our less presentable parts are treated with greater propriety, whereas our more presentable parts do not need this. But God has so constructed the body as to give greater honor to a part that is without it, so that there may be no division in the body, but that the parts may have the same concern for one another. If one part suffers, all the parts suffer with it; if one part is honored, all the parts share its joy.
Now you are Christ’s body, and individually parts of it. Some people God has designated in the church to be, first, apostles; second, prophets; third, teachers; then, mighty deeds; then, gifts of healing, assistance, administration, and varieties of tongues. Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work mighty deeds? Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret? Strive eagerly for the greatest spiritual gifts.

————————————————-

A few days ago we celebrated the Feast of the Transfiguration when Jesus showed three of the Apostles His glory as God. He was approaching the end of His life and He was to be crucified on the cross. However, before that He showed them that He was the Son of God to strengthen their faith.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“Never forget that you were created by God, My dear brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living on earth at this time. The human body is a marvel and only God could create it. Even today the doctors do not comprehend everything about the body, although they have studied it for years. Every part of the body has a very special thing to do, and you know how terrible it would be if you did not have eyes to see, ears to hear, a mouth to speak, a nose to smell, hands to work and feet to walk. Yes, God the Father has made a marvel by creating you, and you should thank Him every day for creating you. You are made of body and spirit and this is very special. Your spirit is still more marvelous than your body, and the spirit is what makes you human and remember you were created in the image of God the Father.
“When I came on earth I took a body and a spirit like yours, for I am truly divine and at the same time human. So now your humanity is part of the Holy Trinity as I live in heaven with My divinity and humanity. The Father has given you such a great gift because He loves you and He wants to be your friend. Strive every day to be close to the Father and to Me in the Holy Spirit. Work hard every day for the greatest spiritual gifts.”
