Loyalty to the Gospel

Loyalty to the Gospel

Dear Friends,
A reading from Saint Paul’s Letter to the Galatians (1:1-10):

Paul, an apostle not from human beings nor through a human being but through Jesus Christ and God the Father who raised him from the dead, and all the brothers who are with me, to the churches of Galatia: grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins that he might rescue us from the present evil age in accord with the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
I am amazed that you are so quickly forsaking the one who called you by the grace of Christ for a different gospel (not that there is another). But there are some who are disturbing you and wish to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel other than the one that we preached to you, let that one be accursed! As we have said before, and now I say again, if anyone preaches to you a gospel other than the one that you received, let that one be accursed! Am I now currying favor with human beings or God? Or am I seeking to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a slave of Christ.

It was Labor Day yesterday in Canada and everything was closed, as it was a general holiday. Today everything will be opened again.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“With Saint Paul I give you grace and peace, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who follow the Gospel I brought to you. There are so many people today who believe all kinds of false teachings. There are those who follow Buddha, others follow Mohammed, others follow leaders who have started their own sects, such as the Jehovah Witnesses or the Church of the Latter Day Saints known as the Mormons, and there are many others besides.
“I came into the world to bring one Gospel to you and I want every person to follow My Gospel. Anything that is changed is false and should never be accepted as coming from Me. I gave My Gospel to the Apostles and their leader was Saint Peter, appointed by Me to head My Church. It is in My Church that you will find the true Gospel and My Church has the right interpretation of My Words. Many Protestants refuse to read the Gospel of Saint John Chapter 6 about the Bread of Life. I said this about the Eucharist: ‘I am the bread of Life. I am the living bread that came down from heaven, whoever eats this bread with live forever, and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.’  Again I said,‘Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you. For My flesh is true food and my blood is true drink.’ Follow these words and go to receive Me in the Eucharist and you will be blessed indeed. I love you all.”

Selfless Concern for the Church

Selfless Concern for the Church

Dear Friends,
A reading from Saint Paul’s Second Letter to the Corinthians (2 Cor 12:11-21):

I have been foolish. You compelled me, for I ought to have been commended by you. For I am in no way inferior to these “superapostles,” even though I am nothing. The signs of an apostle were performed among you with all endurance, signs and wonders, and mighty deeds. In what way were you less privileged than the rest of the churches, except that on my part I did not burden you? Forgive me this wrong!
Now I am ready to come to you this third time. And I will not be a burden, for I want not what is yours, but you. Children ought not to save for their parents, but parents for their children. I will most gladly spend and be utterly spent for your sakes. If I love you more, am I to be loved less? But granted that I myself did not burden you, yet I was crafty and got the better of you by deceit. Did I take advantage of you through any of those I sent to you? I urged Titus to go and sent the brother with him. Did Titus take advantage of you? Did we not walk in the same spirit? And in the same steps?
Have you been thinking all along that we are defending ourselves before you? In the sight of God we are speaking in Christ, and all for building you up, beloved. For I fear that when I come I may find you not such as I wish, and that you may find me not as you wish; that there may be rivalry, jealousy, fury, selfishness, slander, gossip, conceit, and disorder. I fear that when I come again my God may humiliate me before you, and I may have to mourn over many of those who sinned earlier and have not repented of the impurity, immorality, and licentiousness they practiced.

We started the new month of September yesterday and it was cloudy most of the day. We had a few hours of sun in the morning. When the sun is hidden it is cooler, especially in the evening. I thank the Lord though for the nice weather.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“I bless you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who walk in My steps. Some though are not following the way I showed them. There are some who are full of jealousy, selfishness and they slander others and gossip and live in disorder. No, My friends, I want you to follow the Christian way by loving each other and by being humble. There are others who commit impurity and immorality. You know that these are sins and they offend Me. You must repent of all these sins and stop doing such things in the future. Follow Me and ask for My help, and you will receive the graces and strength you need to avoid the temptations of the evil one and follow the way that leads to holiness. I love you and I will help you if you open your hearts to me.”

Accusation of Weakness

Accusation of Weakness

Dear Friends,
A reading from Saint Paul’s Second Letter to the Corinthians (2 Cor 10:1-11):

Now I myself, Paul, urge you through the gentleness and clemency of Christ, I who am humble when face to face with you, but brave toward you when absent, I beg you that, when present, I may not have to be brave with that confidence with which I intend to act boldly against some who consider us as acting according to the flesh. For, although we are in the flesh, we do not battle according to the flesh, for the weapons of our battle are not of flesh but are enormously powerful, capable of destroying fortresses. We destroy arguments and every pretension raising itself against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive in obedience to Christ, and we are ready to punish every disobedience, once your obedience is complete.
Look at what confronts you. Whoever is confident of belonging to Christ should consider that as he belongs to Christ, so do we. And even if I should boast a little too much of our authority, which the Lord gave for building you up and not for tearing you down, I shall not be put to shame. May I not seem as one frightening you through letters. For someone will say, “His letters are severe and forceful, but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible.” Such a person must understand that what we are in word through letters when absent, that we also are in action when present.

Yesterday I celebrated Holy Mass in the chapel of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island in honor of Our Lady, as it was Saturday. I love to celebrate Holy Mass in Her honor. She gave us a beautiful sunny and warm day.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“I call you to open your hearts to Me, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who have given their lives to Me. Sometimes we have to be bold with people who offend their Lord and God. You know that I got angry when I chased the sellers out of the temple in Jerusalem. I chased them all out and I shouted at them that they were making a den out of the Temple of God. When you see people doing something wrong like driving a car under the influence of alcohol or drugs, you must tell them not to drive a car in such a state. If the person does not want to listen, you must call the police because they could kill people. If you see someone stealing, you must tell him or her to stop and return what he or she has stolen. Again if they do not want to listen to you, then you have to call the police. Saint Paul was not afraid to tell the people of his time to stop doing what was wrong and to do only what was good. It is the same for you all even today. Come then and walk with Me, and I will strengthen you to do good. I love you and I bless you.”
