Paul’s Example and Teaching

Dear Friends,
A reading from Saint Paul’s Second Letter to Timothy (2 Tim 3:10-17):

You have followed my teaching, way of life, purpose, faith, patience, love, endurance, persecutions, and sufferings, such as happened to me in Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra, persecutions that I endured. Yet from all these things the Lord delivered me. In fact, all who want to live religiously in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. But wicked people and charlatans will go from bad to worse, deceivers and deceived. But you, remain faithful to what you have learned and believed, because you know from whom you learned it, and that from infancy you have known the sacred scriptures, which are capable of giving you wisdom for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for refutation, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that one who belongs to God may be competent, equipped for every good work.

Yesterday was the Great Feast of all Saints. I celebrated Holy Mass in their honor in the chapel of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island. I know that some of my brothers and sisters and relatives are among the saints. I asked them to pray for me.

Below you will find the message of Our Blessed Mother given to Father Melvin. She spoke to me these words:
“Follow the teachings of My Son Jesus, My son Melvin and all My sons and daughters who believe in Him with all your heart. One who worked extraordinary well for My Son was Saint Paul. He was never afraid to teach the true doctrine, even if he had to suffer because of it. He traveled to many countries and patiently gathered the people together to instruct them about Jesus, My Son, and to put across the true way of following Him. Many came to follow their Savior and they grew strong in the faith. All those who believe in My Son will have to suffer at times, even by his own people. Saint Paul told the people to read the scriptures because all scripture is inspired by God. This is the truth and all should accept this. It is not right to choose some teachings and to reject others. If it is in the Bible, you can be sure that it is authentic and you are to accept everything. I call you all to be men and women of prayers and remain close to My Son Jesus and to Me, your Mother. I love you all and I bless you.”

The Dangers of the Last Days

The Dangers of the Last Days

Dear Friends,
A reading from Saint Paul’s Second Letter to Timothy (3 Tim 3:1-9):

But understand this: there will be terrifying times in the last days. People will be self-centered and lovers of money, proud, haughty, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, irreligious, callous, implacable, slanderous, licentious, brutal, hating what is good, traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, as they make a pretense of religion but deny its power. Reject them. For some of these slip into homes and make captives of women weighed down by sins, led by various desires, always trying to learn but never able to reach a knowledge of the truth. Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so they also oppose the truth – people of depraved mind, unqualified in the faith. But they will not make further progress, for their foolishness will be plain to all, as it was with those two.

————————————————-

Today is the 1st of November, the Feast of all Saints. It will be warm today going up to at least 15 Degrees Celsius. Let us ask the saints to pray for us that all that we are waiting for may come in very soon.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“There will be terrifying times in the last days but do not be afraid, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who believe in Me and follow Me every day. Even today there are many people who do not believe and they are adulterous and hating what is good. Come and pray for all those people who do not believe and are abusive and slanderous. They only love money and they can steal what you have. Pray that they will regret their sins and turn back to the Lord. As today is the Feast of All Saints, please go to Holy Mass and pray to the saints that they will intercede for all those who have no faith. I love you and bless you.”

Warning against Useless Disputes

Warning against Useless Disputes

Dear Friends,
A reading from Saint Paul’s Second Letter to Timothy (2 Tim 2:14-26):

Remind people of these things and charge them before God to stop disputing about words. This serves no useful purpose since it harms those who listen. Be eager to present yourself as acceptable to God, a workman who causes no disgrace, imparting the word of truth without deviation. Avoid profane, idle talk, for such people will become more and more godless, and their teaching will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus, who have deviated from the truth by saying that the resurrection has already taken place and are upsetting the faith of some. Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands, bearing this inscription, “The Lord knows those who are his”; and, “Let everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord avoid evil.”
In a large household there are vessels not only of gold and silver but also of wood and clay, some for lofty and others for humble use. If anyone cleanses himself of these things, he will be a vessel for lofty use, dedicated, beneficial to the master of the house, ready for every good work. So turn from youthful desires and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord with purity of heart. Avoid foolish and ignorant debates, for you know that they breed quarrels. A slave of the Lord should not quarrel, but should be gentle with everyone, able to teach, tolerant, correcting opponents with kindness. It may be that God will grant them repentance that leads to knowledge of the truth, and that they may return to their senses out of the devil’s snare, where they are entrapped by him, for his will.

————————————————-

We had another beautiful sunny day yesterday, although every day now it is getting colder. We did not get any snow yet.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“I call you to impart the Word of God without deviation, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who are eager to listen to Me, your Savior. You are all to avoid evil and to cleanse yourself from all evil, and you will be a vessel for lofty use and ready to do every good work. Avoid all foolish and ignorant debates, for you know that they will cause quarrels. You should be gentle with everyone, to teach the truth and correcting opponents with kindness. It may be that God will grant them repentance. I want them all to return to their senses and come and follow Me. I will grant them the graces they need and the strength to believe in the truth.
“I love you all.”
