Exhortation to Spiritual Renewal

Dear Friends,
A reading from the Book of Hebrews (5:11-14 and 6:1-8):

About this we have much to say, and it is difficult to explain, for you have become sluggish in hearing. Although you should be teachers by this time, you need to have someone teach you again the basic elements of the utterances of God. You need milk, and not solid food. Everyone who lives on milk lacks experience of the word of righteousness, for he is a child. But solid food is for the mature, for those whose faculties are trained by practice to discern good and evil.
Therefore, let us leave behind the basic teaching about Christ and advance to maturity, without laying the foundation all over again: repentance from dead works and faith in God, instruction about baptisms and laying on of hands, resurrection of the dead and eternal judgment. And we shall do this, if only God permits.
For it is impossible in the case of those who have once been enlightened and tasted the heavenly gift and shared in the holy Spirit and tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, and then have fallen away, to bring them to repentance again, since they are recrucifying the Son of God for themselves and holding him up to contempt.
Ground that has absorbed the rain falling upon it repeatedly and brings forth crops useful to those for whom it is cultivated receives a blessing from God. But if it produces thorns and thistles, it is rejected; it will soon be cursed and finally burned.

Let us continue our prayers for the people of the Philippines who have suffered terribly because of the horrible storm that struck their country. I pray that they will be able to get food to eat and good water to drink.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“You all need spiritual renewal, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who have been following Me for some time. Some people can follow Me with enthusiasm, but after a time they slow down and live mostly by routine. This is not good. You need to be renewed and this comes about by taking part in a retreat, by joining a prayer group and attending it every week and by praying your rosary every day. You know that if you have faith, I am there in your heart and I want you to be filled with joy and strength as you walk with Me every day. You need to come back to full life and you will be blessed. Perhaps you have sinned and that is why you act so sluggishly. Go and repent of all your sins and you will feel lighter and full of energy. Ask Me for My help and I will give it to you. I love you all.”

Jesus High Priest

Jesus High Priest

Dear Friends,
A reading from the Book of Hebrews (5:1-10):

Every high priest is taken from among men and made their representative before God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins. He is able to deal patiently with the ignorant and erring, for he himself is beset by weakness and so, for this reason, must make sin offerings for himself as well as for the people. No one takes this honor upon himself but only when called by God, just as Aaron was.
In the same way, it was not Christ who glorified himself in becoming high priest, but rather the one who said to him: “You are my son; this day I have begotten you”; just as he says in another place: “You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.”
In the days when he was in the flesh, he offered prayers and supplications with loud cries and tears to the one who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence. Son though he was, he learned obedience from what he suffered; and when he was made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him, declared by God high priest according to the order of Melchizedek.

Yesterday was a rainy day but the rain stopped in the evening. We should have a sunny day today. Let us continue to pray for the people of the Philippines who have suffered terribly a few days ago because of the wild typhoon that hit their country. Many have been killed.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“I ask you, My dear brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters, to accept Me as the High Priest appointed by the Father for the people of the world. I am your representative before the Father and I offered Myself in oblation for your salvation. When I was on earth I offered every day prayers and supplication for all of you. As a human being I learned obedience to My Father by what I suffered and once I was perfect I became the source of eternal salvation for you all who obey Me. Being both human and divine, I was the perfect one to atone for all your sins. Come now, My friends, and give yourselves totally to Me and I will lead to the promised land, to heaven. I bless you all.”

The Sabbath Rest

The Sabbath Rest

Dear Friends,
A reading from the Book of Hebrews (4:1-16):

Therefore, let us be on our guard while the promise of entering into his rest remains, that none of you seem to have failed. For in fact we have received the good news just as they did. But the word that they heard did not profit them, for they were not united in faith with those who listened. For we who believed enter into that rest, just as he has said:
“As I swore in my wrath, ‘They shall not enter into my rest,'” and yet his works were accomplished at the foundation of the world. For he has spoken somewhere about the seventh day in this manner, “And God rested on the seventh day from all his works”; and again, in the previously mentioned place, “They shall not enter into my rest.” Therefore, since it remains that some will enter into it, and those who formerly received the good news did not enter because of disobedience, he once more set a day, “today,” when long afterwards he spoke through David, as already quoted: “Oh, that today you would hear his voice: ‘Harden not your hearts.'”
Now if Joshua had given them rest, he would not have spoken afterwards of another day. Therefore, a sabbath rest still remains for the people of God. And whoever enters into God’s rest, rests from his own works as God did from his. Therefore, let us strive to enter into that rest, so that no one may fall after the same example of disobedience.
Indeed, the word of God is living and effective, sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating even between soul and spirit, joints and marrow, and able to discern reflections and thoughts of the heart. No creature is concealed from him, but everything is naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must render an account.
Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast to our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has similarly been tested in every way, yet without sin. So let us confidently approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and to find grace for timely help.

Yesterday we had a National Holiday as the 11th November is the date that the First World War stopped. So I prayed for all those who lost their lives during the horrible conflicts of WW1 and WW2. I prayed that there will never be another war in the world.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“You are called My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters to believe that everything in the world was created by God. The Father worked for six days and on the seventh day He rested. That is why the Jewish people kept the Sabbath Day, the seventh day, holy. They did not work on that day and they went to their synagogues on the last day of the week.
“With the Christians, this was changed. The great day of My Resurrection was on Sunday, the first day of the week. My Resurrection was of great importance to all who believed in Me. With My Resurrection I showed them through this great miracle that I was truly the Redeemer, the Savior of the world. Through this miracle they recognized that I was the Son of God. Therefore, the Apostles began gathering to pray on Sunday, the first day of the week. It became the day of the Lord. So since the beginning of the Church, My followers have always kept Sunday holy. They do not work on that day and they go to Church to Holy Mass on that day. I have accepted that Sunday is the holy day of the New Creation, which I brought about by My Resurrection and by the coming of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit came upon the Apostles in the Upper Room also on Sunday, and that day was the beginning of My Church. So all who accept Me as their Savior will meet together in church on the first day of the week. Continue these gatherings every week and you will be blessed.”
