Apostolic Witness

Dear Friends,

Apostolic Witness

A reading from the second Letter of Saint Peter 1, 12 – 21:

I will always remind you of these things, even though you already know them and are established in the truth you have. It think it right, as long as I am in this “tent,” to stir you up by a reminder, since I know that I will soon have to put it aside, as indeed our Lord Jesus Christ has shown me. I shall also make every effort to enable you always to remember these things after my departure.
We did not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we had been eyewitnesses of his majesty. For he received honor and glory from God the Father when that unique declaration came to him from the majestic glory, “This is my Son, my beloved, with whom I am well pleased.” We ourselves heard this voice come from heaven while we were with him on the holy mountain. Moreover, we possess the prophetic message that is altogether reliable. You will do well to be attentive to it, as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. Know this first of all, that there is no prophecy of scripture that is a matter of personal interpretation, for no prophecy ever came through human will; but rather human beings moved by the Holy Spirit spoke under the influence of God.

Yesterday Sunday we had a great winter storm with plenty of snow and wind. It snowed the whole day and some feet of snow fell. Yes, winter is here for sure.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“Know My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters that My great witnesses are the Apostles. They were with Me for three years and they heard and saw all I did. They saw the healings I performed and the miracle of the multiplication of bread and fish and many others. They also heard the words of Our Heavenly Father speaking to them about Me. At the end they saw Me risen from the dead and I stayed with them for forty days after My Resurrection. They were also present when I ascended into heaven on Mount Olivet. So what they wrote is complete truth. They are also all martyrs except Saint John.
If you follow what they wrote in the Bible, you will indeed be following Me, your Savior. It is upon Saint Peter that I established My Church, which is to remain on earth until My second return. My Church is headed by the successor of Saint Peter, who is the Bishop of Rome. Follow My Church and you will follow Me. I bless you all.”

Father Melvin

P.S. I know that you had your share of snow too. May the Lord bless you all.

Exhortation to Christian Virtue

December 15, 2013

Dear Friends,

Exhortation to Christian Virtue

A reading from the second Letter of Saint Peter 1, 1 – 11:

Simon Peter, a slave and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who have received a faith of equal value to our through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ: may grace and peace be yours in abundance through knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.
His divine power has bestowed on us everything that makes for life and devotion, through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and power. Through these, he has bestowed on us the precious and very great promises, so that through them you may come to share in the divine nature, after escaping from the corruption that is in the world because of evil desire. For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, virtue with knowledge, knowledge with self-control, self-control with endurance, endurance with devotion, devotion with mutual affection, mutual affection with love. If these are yours and increase in abundance, they will keep you from being idle or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Anyone who lacks them is blind and shortsighted, forgetful of the cleansing of his past sins. Therefore, brothers and sisters, be all the more eager to make your call and election firm, for, in doing so, you will never stumble. For in this way, entry into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be richly provided for you.

Yesterday Saturday Our Blessed Mother, Our Lady of Prince Edward Island, the Mother of Life, came to visit me. She always comes on December 14th and brings me a message. The message will appear in the Newsletter, which will come out in a few weeks.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“Open your hearts to receive all that I wish to give you, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who truly believe that I am the Savior of the world. With faith you need to add virtue such as self-control, endurance, devotion, mutual affection and love. You all need to be filled with hope, faith and love, these theological virtues that will help you to follow the way that leads to the eternal kingdom of God. If you lack these, then you will surely get lost and follow the evil one instead of your Savior. Ask Me every day to increase these great virtues in you. There are other virtues too but dwell on these to start with. Without faith, hope and love you cannot be a Christian and you cannot be saved. I died for your salvation and I am working even today for your salvation. I love you all.”

Father Melvin

P.S. Our Blessed Mother loves you all.

Advice to Presbyters and to the Community

December 14, 2013

Dear Friends,

Advice to Presbyters and to the Community

A reading from the first Letter of Saint Peter 5,1 – 11:

So I exhort the presbyters among you, as a fellow presbyter and witness in the sufferings of Christ and one who has a share in the glory to be revealed. Tend the flock of God in your midst, overseeing not by constraint but willingly, as God would have it, not for shameful profit but eagerly. Do not lord it over those assigned to you, but be example to the flock. And when the chief Shepherd is revealed, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.
Likewise, you younger members, be subject to the presbyters. And all of you, clothe yourselves with humility in your dealings with one another, for:
“God opposes the proud but bestows favor on the humble.”
So humble yourselves under the mighty had of God, that he may exalt you in due time. Cast all your worries upon him because he cares for you.
Be sober and vigilant. Your opponent the devil is prowling around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, steadfast in faith, knowing that your fellow believers throughout the world undergo the same suffering. The God of all grace who called you to his eternal glory through Christ Jesus with him, self restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you after you have suffered a little. To him be dominion forever. Amen.

Today is December 14th, the day Our Blessed Mother came to visit me the first time. She will come again today and bring me a message for all of you. May Our Heavenly Mother bless you all.

Below you will find the message of Our Blessed Mother given to Father Melvin. She spoke to him these words,

“I bless you all My son Melvin and all My sons and daughters who are the joy of My heart. I call you to pray for your priests every day. They need the grace and the strength from My Son Jesus to be able to do the work that He gave them to do. They are the ones to lead you to My Son and to show you the way you should go. The priest is the one in charge of the parish community and all the members should accept the priest as their shepherd and leader. Be humble My dear children and you will be blessed.
Remember the evil one is never very far and is always trying to get you. Do not side with the devil but resist him at all times and call upon My Son Jesus for His help. He defeated the evil one and with His help you will defeat him too. You might have to suffer at times but do not worry about that for you know that My Son Jesus has suffered much for your salvation. I suffered together with Him for the sake of you, My children. I love you all and I want you all with Me in heaven one day. Pray every day.”

Father Melvin

P.S. May Our Heavenly Mother bless you all.
