Faith is Victory over the World

A reading from the First Letter of Saint John 5, 1 – 12:

Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is begotten by God, and everyone who loves the Father loves the one begotten by him. In this way we know that we love the children of God when we love God and obey his commandments. For the love of God is this, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome, for whoever is begotten by God conquers the world. And the victory that conquers the world is our faith. Who indeed is the victor over the world but the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
This is the one who came through water and blood, Jesus Christ, not by water alone, but by water and blood. The Spirit is the one that testifies, and the Spirit is truth. So there are three that testify, the Spirit, the water, and the blood, and the three are of one accord. If we accept human testimony, the testimony of God is surely greater. Now the testimony of God is this: that he has testified on behalf of his Son. Whoever believes in the Son of God has this testimony within himself. Whoever does not believe God has made him a liar by not believing the testimony God has given about his Son. And this is the testimony: God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever possesses the Son has life; whoever does not possess the Son of God does not have life.

Today, Sunday, is the Feast of the Holy Family. So we honor Jesus, Mary and Joseph, the most perfect family ever to live in this world. All families must strive to imitate the Holy Family and to pray that God will give each one the graces needed to live like them.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I call you all to have faith in Me especially you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who read this message of mine. Faith is of the greatest importance for every human being living in the world. Without faith you are far from Me and you live with the evil one and in darkness. Without faith you do not have hope and your life does not have any meaning. However, if you have faith, then you see that life has a purpose and that you are called to a great future in this world and after you leave this world.
By faith I mean believing in Me, your Lord and Savior. I am the One who gave you the purpose for life in the world and how it is important that you follow Me and be My friend. I want you to study what I have taught you for you know your stay on earth is only for a short while because it is a test to see if you truly follow the right way and act according to your faith. If you pass the test then you will be welcomed in heaven to live in eternal bliss for ever. Come give Me your hand and let us walk together in love and hope to the promised land. I love you and I am calling you every day.”

God’s Love and Christian Life

God’s Love and Christian Life

A reading from the First Letter of Saint John 4, 7 – 27:

Beloved, let us love one another, because love is of God; everyone who loves is begotten by God and knows God. Whoever is without love does not know God, for God is love. In this way the love of God was revealed to us: God sent his only Son into the world so that we might have life through him. In this is love: not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as expiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also must love one another. No one has ever seen God. Yet, if we love one another, God remains in us, and his love is brought to perfection in us.
This is how we know that we remain in him and he in us, that he has given us of his Spirit. Moreover, we have seen and testify that the Father sent his Son as Savior of the world. Whoever acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God remains in him and he in God. We have come to know and to believe in the love God has for us.
God is love, and whoever remains in love remains in God and God in him. In this is love brought to perfection among us, that we have confidence on the day of judgment because as he is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear because fear has to do with punishment, and so one who fears is not yet perfect in love. We love because he first loved us. If anyone says, “I love God,” but hates his brother, he is a liar; for whoever does not love a brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. This is the commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.

I thank all those who have sent me a donation during the last month. This has been a great help for me. It is expensive during winter to buy heating oil, to pay to clean the yard and here we pay more for electricity during the winter as it is dark longer. Thank you for all your help.

Below you will find the message of Our Blessed Mother given to Father Melvin. Our Lady spoke to him these words,

“I love you My son Melvin and all My sons and daughters who have a great love for Me. My Son Jesus loves you all with all His heart and He suffered much for each one of you. I suffered together with Him starting with His birth in a stable in Bethlehem until His death on the Cross. If you are a follower of His then you are to love one another as He loves you. No Christian should hate a brother or sister even if that person hates him or her. You are to forgive everyone who hates you and does all kinds of things against you. You are to love yourself, love all the members of your family and love all your neighbors. In loving them you will pray for them that they may receive all the graces and gifts they need to live in close union with Jesus, My Son, and with Me. Remember that I love you and that I am praying for you every day. I earnestly pray that you will all be with Me in heaven one day.”

Testing the Spirits

Dear Jules,

Testing the Spirits

A reading from the First Letter of St. John 4, 1 – 6:

Beloved, do not trust every spirit but test the spirits to see whether they belong to God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you can know the Spirit of God: every spirit that acknowledges Jesus Christ come in the flesh belongs to God, and every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus does not belong to God. This is the spirit of the antichrist that, as you heard, is to come, but in fact is already in the world. You belong to God, children, and you have conquered them, for the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. They belong to the world; accordingly, their teaching belongs to the world, and the world listens to them. We belong to God, and anyone who knows God listens to us, while anyone who does not belong to God refuses to hear us. This is how we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of deceit.

We had sunshine yesterday in the morning but it clouded over in the afternoon and in the evening it started to snow. It snows almost every day. We will have snow for a few days now. However, it seems we will only have a small amount every day. I am praying that the sun comes out in the near future for a few days.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I call you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters to test the spirits and make sure you discern which ones belong to the Father and those who do not belong to Him. Any spirit who acknowledges Me and accepts that I was born on earth and came to live among you is a good spirit and you should accept him as genuine. If he does not accept Me then you know that he comes from the devil.
If you follow Me and remain close to Me then the Holy Spirit lives in you and He will guide you. If you hear something that does not bring you peace, know that it is not from the good Spirit. The good Spirit will give you a message to help you in your spiritual life. Melvin, My brother, you were called at the age of 12 to become a priest. You heard a voice and definitely it was from a good Spirit. You followed that voice and became a priest. Indeed you were called by Me to the priesthood and you listened to this call. You have received many messages from the Good Spirit in your life and you have followed them. Continue to follow these true messages. At times I send a Spirit to bring you a word from Me and you always listen to these words. I want you all, My friends, to discern the spirits and to follow the ones that come from Me. I bless you all.”
