The Appearance to the Disciples in Jerusalem

The Appearance to the Disciples in Jerusalem

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Luke 24, 36 – 49:

While the disciples were still speaking about this, Jesus stood in their midst and said to them, “Peace be with you.” But they were startled and terrified and thought they were seeing a ghost. Then he said to them, “Why are you troubled? And why do questions arise in your hearts? Look at my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Touch me and see, because a ghost does not have flesh and bones as you can see I have.” And as he said this, he showed them his hands and his feet. While they were still incredulous for joy and were amazed, he asked them, “Have you anything here to eat?” They gave him a piece of baked fish; he took it and ate it in front of them.
He said to them, “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the law of Moses and in the prophets and psalms must be fulfilled.” Then he opened their minds to understand the scriptures. And he said to them, “Thus it is written that the Messiah would suffer and rise from the dead on the third day and that repentance for the forgiveness of sins, would be preached in his name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things. And behold I am sending the promise of my Father upon you; but stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.”

I was filled with joy on this Easter Day as I was celebrating Holy Mass for the Great Feast. I thank the Lord that I was able to see again the Day of His Resurrection. It is on this day that He truly made known to us that He was the Son of God. I prayed that all the people on the face of the earth will come to believe in Him and follow Him every day.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words, “I fill you all with joy My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who have a great love for Me. You see from the Bible how My Apostles could not believe that it was I who had appeared to them. They thought it was a ghost. I had to show them My hands and My feet so that they would see the marks of the nails that pierced Me as they nailed Me to the cross. I had to ask them to give me some food to eat and they gave me some fish and I ate it before them. Slowly they began to believe that I was the one who had appeared before them. Once they believed in Me and during the forty days I stayed with them, then their faith grew strong and they accepted Me as the Messiah, the Son of God, who came into the world to atone for the sins of all the people and to open heaven for them all.
Come My dear friends and believe that I am the resurrected One who died and was buried for three days but on the third day I came back to life. I am the first person to ever rise from the dead with a spiritual body that can never die. You too My brothers and sisters will rise like Me if you follow Me on earth until the end of your days. I bless you all.”

The Resurrection of Jesus

The Resurrection of Jesus

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Matthew 28, 1 – 10:

After the Sabbath, as the first day of the week was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb. And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, approached, rolled back the stone, and sat upon it. His appearance was like lightning and his clothing was white as snow. The guards were shaken with fear of him and became like dead men. Then the angel said to the women in reply, “Do not be afraid! I know that you are seeking Jesus the crucified. He is not here; for he has been raised just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples, ‘He has been raised from the dead, and he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him.’ Behold, I have told you.” Then they went away quickly from the tomb, fearful yet overjoyed, and ran to announce this to his disciples. And behold, Jesus met them on their way and greeted them. They approached, embraced his feet, and did him homage. Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see me.”

Holy Saturday is the day of great expectation. It was the day that the disciples and Our Blessed Mother were waiting for the great event that Jesus had announced to them. He had told them that three days after His death, He would rise from the dead. It would be the great day of His Resurrection. The Apostles were all gathered in the Upper Room praying.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words, “Rejoice, rejoice My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters for the great day of My Resurrection has arrived. It was early on Sunday morning that the angels came and removed the stone from my tomb and at the same time I came back to life. I had now a resurrected body and so I could not suffer anymore nor feel hungry or thirsty or die again. I am now completely resurrected from the dead and I will live forever. I can appear to people at any place and at any time and that is what I did. The first one who saw Me risen from the dead was My Mother. I went to see Her as soon as I was raised from the dead. My visit brought Her great joy and I embrace Her and blessed Her. I also appeared to two men on the way to Emmaus. They did not recognized Me at first but they did after some time. What joy filled them too and they returned to Jerusalem to tell the Apostles. I also appeared to the Apostles and it took some time for them to accept that I was truly resurrected. When they finally knew that I was the one, great joy filled their hearts too.
My dear friends I want you to be filled with joy today the day of My Resurrection. Come to Me and see that I am truly risen from the dead. I am your Savior and also your Friend and your Brother. I bless you all.”

The Burial of Jesus

The Burial of Jesus

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Luke 23, 50 – 56:

Now there was a virtuous and righteous man named Joseph who though he was a member of the council, had not consented to their plan of action. He came from the Jewish town of Arimathea and was awaiting the kingdom of God. He went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. After he had taken the body down he wrapped it in a linen cloth and laid him in a rock-hewn tomb in which no one had yet been buried. It was the day of preparation, and the Sabbath was about to begin. The women who had come from Galilee with him followed behind and when they had seen the tomb and the way in which his body was laid in it, they returned and prepared spices and perfumed oils. Then they rested on the Sabbath according to the commandment.

I was at our Parish Church at 3:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon for the Good Friday service. There were many people present. The singing was good and the readings were very well done. I prayed for the whole world that all may accept Jesus as Our Savior and be redeemed by Him.

Below you will find the message of Our Blessed Mother given to Father Melvin. She spoke to him these words, “I bless you My son Melvin and all My sons and daughters who love My Son Jesus with all your heart and who have kept the Lenten season in a very special way. I was there on Good Friday at the tomb where they buried My dear Son Jesus after they brought Him down from the cross. Indeed My heart was pierced to see how much He suffered and how horrible it was to nail Him to the cross. He spoke to Me while nailed to the cross and He gave you all as My children. Never forget that I am Your Mother who loves you with all My heart and who prays for you every day.
What great sorry was in My heart when they buried My Son after all the wonderful things He had done on earth. However, I knew that His suffering and death was meant for the redemption of all the people of the world. That was His great sacrifice for the salvation of all the people. Come and believe in Him as Your Lord and Savior who is the Son of God. Follow Him and you will be with Him and with Me in heaven one day. I love you and I bless you all.”
