The Appearance to the Seven Disciples

A reading from the Gospel of Saint John 21, 1 – 14:

After this, Jesus revealed himself again to his disciples at the Sea of Tiberias. He revealed himself in this way. Together were Simon Peter, Thomas called Didymus, Nathanael from Cana in Galilee, Zebedee’s sons, and two others of his disciples. Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing.” They said to him, “We also will come with you.” So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing. When it was already dawn, Jesus was standing on the shore, but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus. Jesus said to them, “Children, have you caught anything to eat?” They answered him, “No.” So he said to them, “Cast the net over the right side of the boat and you will find something.” So they cast it, and were not able to pull it in because of the number of fish. So the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord.” When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he tucked in his garment, for he was lightly clad, and jumped into the sea. The other disciples came in the boat, for they were not far from shore, only about a hundred yards, dragging the net with the fish. When they climbed out on shore, the saw a charcoal fire with fish on it and bread. Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish you just caught.” So Simon Peter went over and dragged the net ashore full of one hundred fifty-three large fish. Even though there were so many, the net was not torn. Jesus said to them, “Come, have breakfast.” And none of the disciples dared to ask him, “Who are you?” because they realized it was the Lord. Jesus came over and took the bread and gave it to them, and in like manner the fish. This was now the third time Jesus was revealed to his disciples after being raised from the dead.

The big day in Rome is fast approaching. Many people will gather in Saint Peter’s courtyard for the canonization of Pope John XXIII and Pope John Paul II. I am so happy that these two great popes will be official saints of the Church. Let us ask them the graces we need, the strength we need to do God’s will and to have strong faith like them to be close to Jesus every day.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“Come My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters and read about My great appearance at the sea of Galilee. The Apostles had gone fishing the whole night and caught nothing. When they came to shore they found me there but at first they did not recognize Me. When I asked them to bring some fish to shore, they responded that they did not catch any. It was then that I told them to throw the net on the right side of the boat and in no time the net was filled with fish. At this miracle the Apostle John recognized Me and he told Peter that I was the one on the shore. Of course Saint Peter who acted quickly dressed himself and jumped into the water to hurry up to get to Me. The other came to the shore hauling the net while in the boat. With some of that fish they caught at the end, I cooked them breakfast and they all ate and were satisfied. I enjoyed to show My love for My Apostles and that is why I prepared the breakfast for them.
All of you who read this story in the Bible will be strengthened even more that I came again at the seashore to visit the Apostles. Remember I am never far from you although you do not see Me. I live in your heart if you follow Me. I bless you all and I give you all the graces you need.”

The Apostle Thomas

The Apostle Thomas

A reading of the Gospel of St. John 20, 24 – 29:

Thomas, called Didymus, one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. So the other disciples said to him, “We have seen the Lord.” But he said to them, “Unless I see the mark of the nails in his hands and put my finder into the nailmarks and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.” Now a week later his disciples were again inside and Thomas was with them. Jesus came, although the doors were locked, and stood in their midst and said, “Peace be with you.” Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here and see my hands, and bring your hand and put it into my side, and do not be unbelieving, but believe.” Thomas answered and said to him, “My Lord and my God.” Jesus said to him, “Have you come to believe because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed.”

I receive many phone calls every day. So many of them phone to ask for prayers. As I am writing this one man phoned me from Montreal, Canada, to ask me to pray for him because of his diabetes which is giving him a lot of trouble. So I prayed with him. Many people have been healed after I prayed with them. Jesus, many years ago, healed my eyes. I used to wear glasses and I wore them for 20 years but one day while in prayer in church, I was completely healed and I threw my glasses away and never wore them again. Thank you Lord.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“Even My Apostles had a great difficulty believing that I was resurrected from the dead. So I call you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters to believe with all your heart that I am truly risen from the dead after My death on the cross.
My Apostle Thomas was not present when I appeared to the other Apostles in Jerusalem and when he was told that I had appeared to them, Thomas refused to accept what the Apostles were saying. He said that he would not believe in My resurrection unless he puts his hands in the marks of the nails in my hands and in my wound on the side. When I came a week later Thomas was present and I called him to place his hand in My wounds in my hands and in My side and he did so. Then he fell on his knees and said, “My Lord and My God.” Now he truly believed that I was risen from the dead. He later worked very well and died as a martyr. He is a saint in heaven.
His experience should help any one of you who has doubts about this great miracle. Thomas did not believe at the beginning but when he saw Me and the wounds, then he believed. You too if you have any doubts read slowly this story of Saint Thomas and come and believe like him. I bless you all.”

The Appearance on the Road to Emmaus

The Appearance on the Road to Emmaus

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Luke 24, 13 – 35:

Now that very day two of them (disciples) were going to a village seven miles from Jerusalem called Emmaus, and they were conversing about all the things that had occurred. And it happened that while they were conversing and debating, Jesus himself drew near and walked with them, but they eyes were prevented from recognizing him. He asked them, “What are you discussing as you walk along?” They stopped, looking downcast. One of them, named Cleopas, said to him in reply, “Are you the only visitor to Jerusalem who does not know of the things that have taken place there in these days?” And he replied to them, “What sort of things?” They said to him, “The things that happened to Jesus the Nazarene, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people, how our chief priests and rulers both handed him over to a sentence of death and crucified him. But we were hoping that he would be the one to redeem Israel; and besides all this, it is now the third day since this took place. Some women from our group, however, have astounded us: they were at the tomb early in the morning and did not find his body; they came back and reported that they had indeed seen a vision of angels who announced that he was alive. Then some of those with us went to the tomb and found things just as the women had described, but him they did not see.”
And he said to them, “Oh, how foolish you are! How slow of heart to believe all that the prophets spoke! Was it not necessary that the Messiah should suffer these things, and enter into his glory?” Then beginning with Moses and all the prophets, he interpreted to them what referred to him in all the scriptures. As they approached the village to which they were going, he gave the impression that he was going on farther. But they urged him, “Stay with us, for it is nearly evening and the day is almost over.” So he went in to stay with them. And it happened that, while he was with them at table, he took bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to them. With that their eyes were opened and they recognized him, but he vanished from their sight. Then they said to each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us while he spoke to us on the way and opened the scriptures to us?”
So they set out at once and returned to Jerusalem where they found gathered together the eleven and those with them who were saying, “The Lord has truly been raised and has appeared to Simon!” Then the two recounted what had taken place on the way and how he was made known to them in the breaking of the bread.

We had a beautiful day on Monday and it should be nice too on Tuesday. Many are preparing for the Feast of Divine Mercy which will be celebrated on April 27th which is next Sunday. On that day two great Popes will be canonized. They are Pope John XX111 and Pope John Paul II. Pope John Paul II died on the Sunday of Divine Mercy and he will be canonized on the same day.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words, “Remain close to Me My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who have great faith and love Me with all your hearts. I appeared to two men on Easter Monday as they were on the way to Emmaus. I walked with them but they did not recognize Me. They were talking about My Passion, My death on the cross and My resurrection from the dead. Yet what I felt about them is that they had lost faith in Me. They said these words, ‘We had hoped’ which means that they no longer accepted that I was the Messiah who had come to atone for all their sins. I spoke to them about what is written in the Bible about Me and at the end I was sitting at table with them when I took bread, broke it and blessed it and gave it to them to eat. At that moment they recognized Me and I disappeared.
I wanted all My disciples to believe in Me now that I was risen from the dead. These two men were filled with faith and they rushed back to Jerusalem to tell the Apostles that they had seen Me and what I had told them.
You, My friends, have just celebrated Easter, the great Feast of My resurrection, and by taking part in this feast your faith in Me has increased. Remain always united to Me and pray every day and we will be great friends. I love you all.”
