The Parable of the Wedding Feast

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Matthew 22, 1 – 14:

Jesus again in reply spoke to them in parables, saying, “The kingdom of heaven may be likened to a king who gave a wedding feast for his son. He dispatched his servants to summon the invited guests to the feast, but they refused to come. A second time he sent other servants, saying, ‘Tell those invited : “Behold, I have prepared my banquet, my calves and fattened cattle are killed, and everything is ready; come to the feast.” Some ignored the invitation and went away, one to his farm, another to his business. The rest laid hold of his servants, mistreated them, and killed them. The king was enraged and sent his troops, destroyed those murderers, and burned their city. Then he said to his servants, ‘The feast is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy to come. Go out, therefore, into the main roads and invite to the feast whomever you find.’ The servants went out into the streets and gather all they found, bad and good alike, and the hall was filled with guests. But when the king came in to meet the guests he saw a man there not dressed in a wedding garment. He said to him, ‘My friend, how is it that you came in here without a wedding garment?’ But he was reduced to silence. Then the king said to his attendants, ‘Bind his hands and feet, and cast him into the darkness outside, where there will be wailing and grounding of teeth.’ “Many are invited, but few are chosen.”

So now my brother-in-law Leo and my aunt Josephine are buried. The parish priest was there last evening for the ceremony of burial and many people attended. I prayed to the Lord that He takes them both to heaven with Him.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I love you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who have great faith in Me. You accept Me as your one and only Savior who can help you while you are in the world and who will bring you home to heaven one day. In the parable I gave to the Jews concerning the wedding feast, I gave the Jewish people a teaching about My rejection and how the others welcomed Me. I told that that it was the wedding feast of the king’s son. I am the King’s Son as I am the Son of the Father. It was the Jewish people who were invited to attend the feast but they refused to come. They even killed those who were sent to them like the prophets.
Then the people on the streets were invited to the feast. These are all of you, the Christians of today. You were all invited and you filled the hall. This means that many of you responded positively and came to My Feast, which is My Holy Mass in My Churches throughout the world. So many of My Churches are full and they are filled with great love for Me.
You My friends, I call you to remain with Me always. Pray that your faith may not weakened but instead that your faith may grow day after day. You know that it is necessary to believe in Me if you wish to be saved. Without faith you cannot reach heaven. I love you and I want you all with Me.”

Father Melvin

P.S. Here we had a beautiful day today, Wednesday, and the temperature came up to 17 degrees Celsius, which is about 65 degrees F. We will have another beautiful day on Thursday. May the Lord bless you all.

The Parable of the Tenants

The Parable of the Tenants

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Matthew 21, 33 – 46:

Jesus said, “Hear another parable. There was a landowner who planted a vineyard, put a hedge around it, dug a wine press in it, and built a tower. Then he leased it to tenants and went on a journey. When vintage time drew near, he sent his servants to the tenants to obtain the produce. But the tenants seized the servants and one they beat, another they killed, and a third they stoned. Again he sent other servants, more numerous than the first ones, but they treated them in the same way. Finally, he sent his son to them, thinking, ‘They will respect my son.’ But when the tenants saw the son, they said to one another, ‘This is the heir, Come, let us kill him and acquire his inheritance.’ They seized him, threw him out of the vineyard, and killed him. What will the owner of the vineyard do to those tenants when he comes? They answered him, “He will put those wretched men to a wretched death and lease his vineyard to other tenants who will give him the produce at the proper times.” Jesus said to them, “Did you never read in the scriptures: ‘The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone, by the Lord has this been done, and it is wonderful in our eyes’?
Therefore, I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people that will produce its fruit. The one who falls on this stone will be dashed to pierces, and it will crush anyone on whom it falls.” When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables, they knew that he was speaking about them. And although they were attempting to arrest him, they feared the crowds, for the regarded him as a prophet.

Yesterday Tuesday was the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima. I went to Fatima three times in my life and I love the place. I would be very happy to go back for another visit. Let us thank Our Blessed Mother for Her messages and let us take them to heart.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“I bless you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who take to heart all what I have told you through the scriptures. In the parable of the tenants, I explain something very important to the Jews. The vineyard here means Israel. The owner of the vineyard, (Israel) is God the Father. The tenants that He sent into His vineyard are the Jews. The Father sent prophets to teach the Jews but they did not accept the prophets and often they killed them. At the end the Father sent Me, His Son, to come to Israel to receive the goodness of the Jews but instead they seized Me, beat Me and nailed Me to the cross and killed Me. Because they rejected the Father’s Son, whom I am, the Jews will be thrown out of Israel and another people will take over the land.
It is true that the Jews rejected Me but the Gentiles received Me and believed in Me. Many of them are My followers and many belong to My Church and one day I will come and bring them to heaven. Continue to follow Me, My friends, and I will bless you during their stay on earth and you will receive eternal glory in heaven one day. I bless you all.”

The Parable of the Two Sons

May 13, 2014

The Parable of the Two Sons

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Matthew 21, 28 – 32:

Jesus said, “What is your opinion? A man had two sons. He came to the first and said, ‘Son, go out and work in the vineyard today.’ He said in reply, ‘I will not,’ but afterwards he changed his mind and went. The man came to the other son and gave the same order. He said in reply, “Yes, sir,’ but did not go. Which of the two did his father’s will?” They answered, “The first.” Jesus said to them, “Amen, I say to you, tax collectors and prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God before you. When John came to you in the way of righteousness, you did not believe him; but tax collectors and prostitutes did. Yet even when you saw that, you did not later change your minds and believe him.”

We have to pray for peace between Russia and the Ukraine. There is no peace between these two nations today and if it continues as it is, we could have a major war. Let us pray that Russia comes to its senses and works for peace instead of looking for ways for war and to take over that nation. The Ukraine was under the Russian Communists for many years but when the Communists were kicked out the Ukraine with many other countries were liberated and found their freedom. Let us pray that they will all remain free and independent.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I know that you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters have accepted St. John Baptist as a great prophet and a holy man. He worked very well to help Me start My public life. He was the one who baptized Me and who introduced Me to the people as the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. He also said that I was the Son of God. He became a martyr and he is a saint. However many Jews did not accept him.
I told the Jews the parable of the two sons who were sent by their father to work in the vineyard. The first say that he would not go but he changed his mind and went to work. the second son said he would go but he never went to work. I asked the people to tell Me which one had done the will of his father. They all said the first one. Now here is the explanation of this parable. The father of the parable is God the Father. The two sons are the people of the world. The Jewish people believe in God but most of them refused to believe in Me and to listen to St. John the Baptist. Many of the Gentiles believed in Me and they accepted the words of St. John the Baptist. So it was those whom the Jews called sinners that believe in Me and followed Me and entered into My Kingdom. That is why I said to them that the tax collectors and the prostitutes were the first to enter the Kingdom of God. Even when the Jews saw that the sinners believed in large numbers, they did not change their minds. Even today most of the Jewish people have not accepted Me as the Messiah and the Son of God.
You, My friends, have accepted Me and your hearts are always ready to receive Me. You listen to My words and you do every day what I asked of you. It is a joy for Me to see so many of you on the way to eternal glory. Continue your march every day by following the commandments, praying and going to church regularly and receiving Me in Holy Communion. Repent of your sins and you will be blessed by Me. I love you all.”

Father Melvin

P.S. It was cold on Monday and it was cloudy at times. The sun did come out at certain times during the day. However, it will soon get warmer and by Saturday it should be 20 degrees Celsius in Prince Edward Island. I am praying for you all.
