Jesus before the Sanhedrin

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Matthew 26, 57 – 68:

Those who had arrested Jesus led him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were assembled. Peter was following him at a distance as far as the high priest’s courtyard, and going inside he sat down with the servants to see the outcome. The chief priests and the entire Sanhedrin kept trying to obtain false testimony against Jesus in order to put him to death, but they found none, though many false witnesses came forward. Finally two came forward who stated, “This man said, ‘I can destroy the temple of God and within three days rebuild it.’ The high priest rose and addressed him, “Have you no answer? What are these men testifying against you?” But Jesus was silent. Then the high priest said to him, “I order you to tell us under oath before the living God whether you are the Messiah, the Son of God.” Jesus said to him in reply, “You have said so. But I tell you:
From now on you will see ‘the Son of Man seated at the right hand of the Power’ and ‘coming on the clouds of heaven.”‘
Then the high priest tore his robes and said, “He has blasphemed! What further need have we of witnesses? You have now heard the blasphemy; what is your opinion?” They said in reply, “He deserves to die!” Then they spat in his face and struck him, while some slapped him, saying, “Prophesy for us, Messiah: who is it that struck you?”

There is a horrible thing that has happened in Moncton, New Brunswick, a town not far from where I live. It takes only two and one-half hour for me to drive there. A man of only 24 years of age shot five RCMP policemen on Wednesday and three are dead and two are in hospital. Finally last night this fellow was arrested and is now in prison. Let us pray that these horrible actions will end. Let us pray for peace.

Below you will find the message of Our Blessed Mother given to Father Melvin. She spoke to me these words,

“I love you My son Melvin and all My sons and daughters living in every country of the world. What pain I suffered when I heard that the soldiers had arrested My Son Jesus and brought Him to the Sanhedrin, the top court of the Jews. They said all kinds of lies against Him because there was one thing that they wanted to do with Him. They wanted to kill Him. When the high priest asked Him if He was the Messiah, the Son of God, My Son Jesus answered that He was the Messiah. The members of the Sanhedrin did not accept that He was the Messiah, the Savior of the world. The high priest said that Jesus had blasphemed. Of course you all know that He said the truth because He is truly the Messiah, the Son of God, sent by the Father to redeem you all. The chief priest asked the opinion of the Sanhedrin on what Jesus had said, and they answered that He deserved to die. They then spat in His face and struck him and others slapped Him. To make fun of Him they asked, “Prophesy for us, Messiah: who is it that struck you?” Now they felt they had a reason to kill Him but He had not done anything wrong. He just said the truth. Remember My sons and daughters that He suffered all this for you who are sinners. He suffered and died to atone for your sins. He loves you and I love you too.”

P.S. We had a mostly rainy day on Friday but the temperature was around 15 degrees Celsius. It will rain again on Saturday. I am praying for all of you.

The Betrayal and Arrest of Jesus

The Betrayal and Arrest of Jesus

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Matthew 26, 47 – 56:

While he was still speaking, Judas, one of the Twelve, arrived, accompanied by a large crowd, with swords and clubs, who had come from the chief priests and the elders of the people. His betrayer had arranged a sign with them, saying, “The man I shall kiss is the one; arrest him.” Immediately he went over to Jesus and said, “Hail, Rabbi!” and he kissed him. Jesus answered him, “Friend, do what you have come for.” Then stepping forward they laid hands on Jesus and arrested him. And behold, one of those who accompanied Jesus put his hand to his sword, drew it, and struck the high priest’s servant, cutting off his ear. Then Jesus said to him, “Put your sword back into its sheath, for all who take the sword will perish by the sword. Do you think that I cannot call upon my Father and he will not provide me at this moment with more than twelve legions of angels? But then how would the scriptures be fulfilled which say, that it must come to pass in this way?” At that hour Jesus said to the crowds, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs to seize me? Day after day I sat teaching in the temple area, yet you did not arrest me. But all this has come to pass that the writings of the prophets may be fulfilled.” Then all the disciples left him and fled.

There are still a good number of people who write to me to have their relatives and friends written in the Book of Remembrance. I offer three Masses a week for all those written in that book. I also pray my rosary for them every day. To write a name in the book costs $15.00 each and that person will remain in the book for a full year. Anyone can do so by writing to me.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I bless you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who live in union with Me. It was on Holy Thursday during the night that Judas led the soldiers and the people to the Garden of Olives and he came to Me and greeted Me with these words, “Hail, Rabbi.” Then he kissed me. That was the sign for the soldiers to arrest Me. St. Peter took his sword out and struck the servant of the high priest and cut off his ear. I told him to put back his sword into its sheath and I picked up the ear and placed it in its place and healed it. Then I spoke to the crowds that had gathered where I was arrested and spoke to them. I told them that they look like a group that has come to arrest a robber. However, they had come and arrested Me so that the scriptures may be fulfilled. It was written that the Messiah would be arrested, beaten and nailed to the cross and die. This was My sacrifice in order to save the people so they could go to heaven and be with Me forever. After My arrest all the Apostles left Me except for Peter who followed Me during the night and St. John brought My Mother and She saw Me carrying the cross and She stood at the foot of the cross in great suffering while I hung there until death. I bless you all.”

P.S. We had another sunny day but it was cloudy at times. We are supposed to have rain during the night. The farmers will be happy if it rains as the fields are very dry. May the Lord keep you all close to Him.

The Agony in the Garden

The Agony in the Garden

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Matthew 26, 36 – 46:

Then Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to his disciples, “Sit here while I go over there and pray.” He took along Peter an the two sons of Zebedee, and began to feel sorrow and distress. Then he said to them, “My soul is sorrowful even to death. Remain here and keep watch with me.” He advanced a little and fell prostrate in prayer, saying, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from me, yet, not as I will, but as you will.” When he returned to his disciples he found them asleep. He said to Peter, “So you could not keep watch with me for one hour? Watch and pray that you may not undergo the test. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. Withdrawing a second time, he prayed again, “My Father, if it is not possible that this cup pass without my drinking it, your will be done!” Then he returned once more and found them asleep, for they could not keep their eyes open. He left them and withdrew again and prayed a third time, saying the same thing again. Then he returned to his disciples and said to them, “Are you still sleeping and taking your rest? Behold, the hour is at hand when the Son of Man is to be handed over to sinners. Get up, let us go. Look, my betrayer is at hand.”

I spoke on the phone today to an African man who had great faith. He loved to say, “Glory be to God” and “I pray to God every day.” He was full of joy and he would like that every person on earth would glorify God every day. He says that he loves to go to church every Sunday and he reads the bible every day. I told him that he was blessed by God and that he should continue to pray and to thank the Lord every day.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“Come and join Me My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters as I undergo My Passion. It is in following Me through all the stages of My Passion that you will come to know Me and have a close relationship with Me. My Passion is an expression of My love for each one of you.
My Passion began in the Garden of Gethsemane also called the Garden of Olives just outside the walls of Jerusalem. My Apostles and I went there often at night to rest. So on Holy Thursday the eleven Apostles came with Me. I left them at the entrance to the Garden except three that I took with Me and walked a little further. There I asked them to stay with Me and keep watch with Me. I then went a bit further and fell prostrate and prayed. After My prayer I came to the three Apostles and found them all asleep. I woke them up and said to them “So you could not keep watch with me for one hour?” I went to pray three times speaking to My Heavenly Father about the cup that I had to drink. This cup was My suffering and at the end My death. After praying a third time, I return to the three Apostles and they were again asleep. I woke them up as My betrayer was at hand.
I suffered much in the Garden. It was indeed the suffering of My Agony. I knew what I would suffer after I would be arrested. How they would beat Me and finally crucify Me on the cross. I was in great pain going through all this in the Garden.
I call you My brothers and sisters to join Me at times for an hour as you sit before My cross and see Me hanging there. I needed great power in order to survive until the cross. As you know I did not commit any sin but I took all your sins upon Myself and suffered until death to make atonement for them. I did this because I love you with all My Heart.”

Father Melvin

P.S. We had another beautiful sunny day on Wednesday. The sky was clear until evening and it was warm. It surely looks and feels like summer. Around here these days the fields and roads are covered with yellow flowers and it is beautiful. Praise the Lord.
