Before the Sanhedrin

A reading from the Acts of the Apostles 4, 1 – 12:

While the Apostles were still speaking to the people, the priests, the captain of the temple guard, and the Sadducees confronted them, disturbed that they were teaching the people and proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection of the dead. They laid hands on them and put them in custody until the next day, since it was already evening. But many of those who heard the word came to believe and the number of men grew to about five thousand.
On the next day, their leaders, elders, and scribes were assembled in Jerusalem, with Annas the high priest, Caiaphas, John, Alexander, and all who were of the high-priestly class. They brought them (Saints Peter and John) into their presence and questioned them. “By what power or by what name have you done this?” Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, answered them, “Leaders of the people and elders: If we are being examined today about a good deed done to a cripple, namely, by what means he was saved, then all of you and all the people of Israel should know that it was in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazxorean whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead; in his name this man stands before you healed. He is ‘the stone rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone. There is no salvation through anyone else, nor is there any other name under heaven given to the human race by which we are to be saved.”

On Saturday, June 28, we will celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This feast is closely linked to the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. This feast of Our Blessed Mother expresses Her purity and Her love for all Her children. Her holiness is also expressed by Her Immaculate Heart. Let us celebrate this great feast with hearts full of love for our dear Mother.

Below you will find the message of Our Blessed Mother given to Father Melvin. She spoke to him these words,

“I bless you My son Melvin and all My sons and daughters who love Me and who will celebrate the feast of My Immaculate Heart.
My son Jesus chose the twelve Apostles to start His Church on earth. Today’s story tells us about two of them, Saint Peter and Saint John, who went into the temple to pray and came across a cripple beggar and in the name of My Son Jesus they healed him. However, the Jewish leaders came to the temple and they arrested the two Apostles. The next day they were brought to court and the healed man was there too. They questioned the two Apostles asking them this question: ‘By what power or by what name have you done this?’ Saint Peter was not afraid to stand up and to speak to them boldly. He told them that they were being examined about a good deed done to a cripple. He told them that in was in the name of Jesus that this man was healed. Jesus was rejected by you but He has become the cornerstone. Saint Peter told the leaders that there is no salvation through anyone else, nor is there any other name under heaven given to the human race by which the people are to be saved. There is only one Savior and He is My Son Jesus.
I call you all My dear children to listen to your Lord and Savior for He is the Messiah sent by God the Father to bring you to heaven. Believe and love Him with all your heart and be men and women of prayer and love your neighbor and you will be saved. I am praying for you that you will be humble and follow all that My Son has taught you. I love you all.”

Father Melvin

P.S. We had a beautiful day Friday for the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. I offered Holy Mass for all of you that you open your hearts to the love of God.

Peter’s Speech

Peter’s Speech

A reading from the Acts of the Apostles 3, 11 – 26:

As the (healed beggar) clung to Peter and John, all the people hurried in amazement toward them in the portico called “Solomon’s Portico.” When Peter saw this, he addressed the people, “You Israelites, why are you amazed at this, and why do you look so intently at us as if we had made him walk by our own power or piety? The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, the God of our ancestors, has glorified his servant Jesus whom you handed over and denied in Pilate’s presence, when he had decided to release him. You denied the Holy and Righteous One and asked that a murderer be released to you. The author of life you put to death, but God raised him from the dead; of this we are witnesses. And by faith in his name, this man, whom you see and know, his name has made strong, and the faith that comes through it has given him this perfect health, in the presence of all of you. Now I know, brothers, that you acted out of ignorance, just as your leaders did, but God has thus brought to fulfillment what he had announced beforehand through the mouth of all the prophets, that his Messiah would suffer. Repent, therefore, and be converted, that you sins may be wiped away, and that the Lord may grant you times of refreshment and send you the Messiah already appointed for you, Jesus, whom heaven must receive until the times of universal restoration of which God spoke through the mouth of his holy prophets from of old. For Moses said:
‘A prophet like me will the Lord, your God, raise up for you from among your own kinsmen; to him you shall listen in all that he may say to you. Everyone who does not listen to that prophet will be cut off from the people.’
Moreover, all the prophets who spoke, from Samuel and those afterwards, also announced these days. You are the children of the prophets and of the covenant that God made with your ancestors when he said to Abraham, ‘In your offspring all the families of the earth shall be blessed.’ For you first, God raised up his servant and sent him to bless you by turning each of you from your evil ways.”

This year on June 27, we will celebrate the Feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. The one who had a vision of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus is Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque and He appeared to her in the 17th century. The Sacred Heart of Jesus tells us of the great love that Jesus has for us. Jesus’ love is like a father’s love for his children or a husband’s love for his wife. He gave His life out of love for us all. Let us show our love to Our Great Savior and let us follow Him every day.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I express to you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters that My heart is on fire out of love for each and every one of you. Saint Peter did explain to the Jewish people in the temple following the healing of the cripple beggar; he said that it was not by his power that this man was healed but by the power of the glorified Son of God whom the Jews condemned to death. Pilate would have release Me (Jesus) but the Jews present asked Pilate to release a murderer. Peter said that I was put to death by nailing Me to the cross but God the Father raised Me up from the dead. It was by faith in My name that this man was healed and now has perfect health. Saint Peter told the Jews that it was by ignorance that they did these horrible things to Me. So he called them to repent of their sins and be converted, and to accept Me as their Messiah and Lord. Saint Peter said that I was sent to bless the Jews by turning each one of them from their evil ways.
So My dear friends, believe in Me, Your Lord, with all your heart and follow all that I have taught you. Then I will live in your heart and give you all the graces you need to follow the right way and to avoid the temptations of the evil one. I love you all.”

P.S. We had a mostly raining day on Thursday but the rain stopped in the evening. We should have a nice day on Friday.

Cure of a Crippled Beggar

Cure of a Crippled Beggar

A reading from the Acts of the Apostles 3, 1 – 10:

Now Peter and John were going up to the temple area for the three o’clock hour of prayer. And a man crippled from birth was carried and placed at the gate of the temple called “the Beautiful Gate” every day to beg for alms from the people who entered the temple. When he saw Peter and John about to go into the temple, he asks for alms. But Peter looked intently at him, as did John, and said, “Look at us.” He paid attention to them, expecting to receive something from them. Peter said, “I have neither silver nor gold, but what I do have I give you; in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazorean, rise and walk.” Then Peter took him by the right hand and raised him up, and immediately his feet and ankles grew strong. He leaped up, stood and walked around, and went into the temple with them, walking and jumping and praising God. When all the people saw him walking and praising God, they recognized him as the one who used to sit begging at the Beautiful Gate of the temple, and they were filled with amazement and astonishment at what had happened to him.

The first Friday of the month of July is approaching. I will have a healing service at Our Lady of Prince Edward Island’s chapel on July 4th at 7:00 p.m. I will pray on each person present that the Lord heals them. Everybody is welcome.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I call you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters to believe in Me as the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity. I have two natures: the divine and human natures. As a divine person I have all the power of God. I gave the Apostles the power to heal and they used this power many times in healing the sick, the crippled and those suffering from any other kinds of problems. So one day Saints Peter and John were about to enter the temple when a crippled man asked them for alms. They did not have any money but they told the crippled man these words, “In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazorean, rise and walk.” Saint Peter took him by his right hand and raise him and immediately he got strong and he leaped up and starting walking. He went into the temple with them walking and jumping and praising God. What great amazement this was for all the people who saw him.
The Apostles were able to heal many people through My power and these were great signs that the power of God was with them.
Even today there are some who have this power. My brother Melvin, I have given you this power and you make use of it often to heal the sick. Use this power of mine to show My love to all the people who suffer. I love them all.”

Father Melvin

P.S. I had visitors today Wednesday from the Province of Ontario and it was the first time for them to visit the chapel of Our Lady. They hope to come back again one day. We had rain this morning but there was no rain in the afternoon but it is still cloudy. May the Lord bless you all.
